Wow! I purchased $39 pants for my 11-year-old... They charged me a total of $108 with alterations... Prices were not explained to me prior. I am very disappointed to pay $108 for pants costing only $39 and the quality is not great. On top of it to charge me an extra $10 to get it done for the day after.Just terrible quality and terrible service will not be returning. read more

Do not go to this location. Had an extremely poor experience. I would not recommend this location to anyone. An earlier review said they lost a man's suit the day before his daughter's wedding and I am not suprised. If you want that to be you, go here. Not a Great Experience, but what do you expect from a large chain? We were told that the suit jacket we bought from this Men's Wearhouse for our wedding would be tailored when it came in for free. After it arrived we went to get it tailored and they claimed they do not do this and thus we had to pay an additional charge... I had to make multiple separate trips there because I had added a groomsman to our wedding party but didn't notice until after I had left that the groomsmen didn't have the same outfit assigned as the other men after I was ASSURED that he matched. They don't have all of the swatches in stock to look at either which isn't a huge deal but when you're trying to make sure a color is what you're expecting it's very annoying. The staff isn't well informed (which I guess should have been obvious by the mixed messages we got on what was and wasn't included in the purchase price of the suit jacket...) But they should at least know what swatch colors/patterns are. I asked to see a certain swatch and they showed me the complete wrong one and assured me it was the only thing they had. I pulled up what they showed me VS what I was asking for from the online system and guess what, it was different. We're stuck with this place because most of our groomsmen are all over the country and this is 'the most convenient'. Good Luck! read more

While I didn't know anything about renting a tux, I do know good customer service and that is definitely what I experienced at the Auburn Hills store. I was attending a costume-mandatory masquerade event on formal night, and I decided to channel my inner Marlene Dietrich and wear a tux. I wanted old-school; tails, pleated shirt, bowtie, the works. I had the good fortune to be assisted by Amy, who agreed that a woman dressing in a tux was a fun endeavor and she made it even more fun. My physique is very hourglass so we had some challenges but Amy was up for it. She knows the products, knows how things should look and fit, and clearly knows what she is doing. When I went back to pick up the tux (which came with shirt, vest, bowtie, shoes, suspenders, pocket square, cuff links - even socks!) it was perfect. Amy knew I was on the hunt for a tophat to complete my look and she very generously gave me an extra she had at home, it was waiting for me with the tux. I had even more fun at the event thanks to Amy and my chic look. Props to Assistant Manager William Criel, too, and the on site tailer who was immediately available to make a quick alteration to the length of the pants. Highly recommend! read more

After putting my foot down with a friend of mine who was still wearing the same shirts he had bought fifteen years ago (that were looking more than a little worse for the wear), I promised to come visit and take him shopping for some new clothes. Unfortunately, we were in the suburbs of Detroit, so interesting fashion was going to be...hard-to-find, especially given our real-person budget. Enter Men's Wearhouse. It's not super-high-quality, and it's not precisely cutting-edge style, but for wardrobe basics on a budget it's hard to beat. Thanks to one of their near-constant buy-one-get-one-free sales, we managed to replenish a good-size chunk of my friend's wardrobe for only slightly more than half of my original estimate. As with any MW, quality and variety are their Achilles' heels. The selection is a little better now that color is coming back into men's fashion, but it's still basically fifty shades of 'bland' (with an occasional side trip into 'awful'). Additionally, I've seen multiple sets of their wool slacks begin to show pilling in the crotch after a whole two or three wearings. Sure, you're not expecting lifetime wear at these prices, but...three wearings? Really? Still, for what they do, they do it well. This location especially had a decent selection, and good service - Matt was very patient with us and especially my picky nature. So four stars it is. read more

Upon entering the store we were pounced on like prey being hunted. The man who approached us was interested in only one thing and that was selling us the highest price item he could. The only thing he was interested in finding out was what color suit my husband was interested in. It became increasingly apparent he was not interested in our needs and only his bottom line. When we expressed this two him as we turned to leave he yelled across the store that we were entitled to our opinion! Never again will we enter that store. I definitely want to take an opportunity to thank the staff at the store. My experience at the beginning was a little rough but after everything was said and done they really took care of me. They went above and beyond to make sure my issues were resolved and I was happy with the results. I want to think the assistant manager and the store manager for all of their help today. read more

I have to say I have never had such a disrespectful experience. I walked in with the intention of buying a suit maybe multiple, but my tall salesman William was totally disrespectful. When I would ask him a question he would stare at my girlfriend and answer. He barely gave me any attention, talking mostly with my girlfriend. She felt uncomfortable, I felt uncomfortable. At one point I said "well I'm the one buying it NOT her" and he turned to her and said true, which prompted me to walk out. I will never step foot in this store again. Did not have a great experience. Went there to buy my son's homecoming / senior suit five years ago and had a great experience. This time around, not so much. The people working there were rude, insulting, and the whole place looked downgraded from what it was 5 years ago. Everything seems rushed, they didn't even measure my son, they didn't even really show us any options. And picking out shirts and ties, the guy never asked my son what he liked and what he didn't, what colors he preferred, stripes or solids, etc. He just started throwing ties and shirts in front of us and if I made a comment about not liking it he would literally throw it to the side and glare at me. Every time I said something, he or this other clerk would disagree with me before I could even finish my thought. In retrospect, I regret going there. My husband purchased a suit, sport coat and slacks from this location for his father's funeral. Half an hour before we left for the viewing, we realized the sport coat wasn't in the bag. The assistant manager drove 20 miles to our home to deliver it just before we had to leave. Service like that is almost impossible to find. I highly recommend this store. read more

Went in to get a suit for a wedding (was part of the wedding party; best man had set up a wedding group so we all could get the same suit). Shirt and suit cost about $350. I was told by the best man after the purchase there should have been a 40% discount, and I should have only paid about $205 for everything. I went back to the Baldwin Rd store and explained what was going on. They looked it up and said "well, it's not in our system; you'll have to contact the home store [where the best man set up the wedding group] and have them enter that information in our system before we can do anything". I contacted the home store, who said they didn't know why I was getting a hard time, and that a discount is a standard thing to do for any wedding group. They entered a coupon code in the system, which was the inly thing they could do, and said to contact my MW location where I bought the suit to have it applied. They said it was still unusual that this location required anything to be entered. I contacted my location on Baldwin Rd, and they said that they could only take the discount off the shirt, because the suit was one of their "economy suits". So that meant my total was now $302; still about $100 more than what the groom and 2 of the other groomsmen had paid. I want to note, that neither of the times I brought this up, did anyone at the Baldwin Rd location attempt to contact the home store, and they started getting snarky during my second conversation. I understand they may not be eager to give the discount, and usually I wouldn't have pursued it, except that others in the wedding party had recieved it, and it was supposedly a "standard thing to do" for a wedding group. They made no legitimate attempt to help their customer. My sister is getting married in October, and they will be trying to figure out where to get the suits for their groomsmen in July. Based on my experience with my friend's wedding, and Men's Wearhouse's failure to put in any real effort in trying to resolve this situation, I will be strongly suggesting she goes with one of her other options, and avoid Men's Wearhouse. I wouldn't want the 4-5 people needing suits for her wedding wasting their money. read more

First a small precursor; I had an unfortunate Funeral to go to. So I walked into the closet and put the suit on... it didn't fit! Not even close (I blame the wife's good cooking). But I went to the store in a rushed/bad mood. So rushing out the door I head to Men's Warehouse over on Baldwin. I walk in the door and am immediately greeted by Mr. Torre Brown. I explained my situation and that I'd like a two button black or charcoal suit. He quickly took my measurements and Pulled a few suits. He was very patient and had great recommendations while moving through the various suit jackets. In the end, we arrived at a nice dark Charcol suit that looked great. Feeling cheeky and happy with the current service as well as the small amount of time spent in the store so far. I elected to go for the buy one get one free deal that's always going on it seems (Not complaining here). He quickly brought out a few suits and I immediately went for a lighter gray with large check pattern. Sold! looked very nice. Torre being the salesman that he is also pulled a sports coat that was clearance from 300.00 to 150.00 and discovered I also had other possible discounts possible for said Sports jacket due to the current amount currently being spent and item combination being bought. The end result was a very nice sports coat for 70.00. A coat that my wife loves! by the way. In total, I sent about 1000.00 on two suits, one sports coat, two ties, and a fitted shirt. Suits were on the higher end for Men's warehouse. I saved 980.00 and earned another 100.00 of in-store credit. This 100.00 ended up going towards another sports jacket that was again 300.00 clearance to 150.00. Add the 100.00 credit and I walked away with another nice Jacket for 50.00 bucks! All in all my first visit went great and I increased the wardrobe for future events. Now comes my suit pickups (after tailoring) Torre put me ahead of the line and I had the Dark Charcol suit done in 2 days. It fit great and off I went, pretty uneventful visit but just what I needed considering the current family situation. My third visit for the last suit, however, had a small issue (Not all things come to a perfect ending). My suit was scheduled to arrive the next day instead of what was written on the slip (no suit for me today). The product of poor hand writing or reading (pick one). Torre being a standup kind of Man explained the situation, took full blame and credited me for my time (I asked for no credit, He simply wanted to ensure I was happy). I have no issue with this and appreciated the honest/professional way he handled the situation. I will be picking the suit up tomorrow and am still very happy. The one issue that happened was handled so well it prompted me to actually write a review (this is not the norm for me). The quality of clothing seems to be up from a few years ago with more options for a younger crowd (Men's Warehouse isn't for just grandpa anymore), the team is very patient and knowledgeable. On all of my visits, I had multiple salesmen/saleswomen ask me if I was being helped. I see some negative comments bellow. I would entice you all who had a bad experience with this location to try again next time your in the need for a suit or classic men's attire. These issues seem to have been resolved from my experience these past few weeks. TLDR; Excellent service and professionalism. I enjoyed my visit and the deals I received. Clothing quality seems up from a few years ago as well as selection. read more
