We had a pleasant experience here the other day. We were buying a suit and the staff was very helpful. The suit was exactly what we were looking for and we were able to get alterations measured so we can pick it up in a couple weeks. The place was very clean and organized. The dressing rooms were spacious and they had plenty. There was a nice mirror area that had multiple angles and allowed the seamstress to get measurements properly with excellent lighting. I got a custom made tuxedo and was very disappointed with both the construction quality and the fit, even after two rounds of tailoring (and getting the jacket remade). Some problems: - the arm hole on the jacket was extremely low, restricting range of motion. It was better after being remade but still not good (see below for remade picture). It seems to be a common problem with most Men's Wearhouse items. - the jacket is way too large around the midsection - the lining on the jacket was sloppily sewn and spills under the jacket (see photo) - the pants were sloppily tailored in the rear leading to what looked like an air bubble on the seam - the store was busy (albeit during prom season) and it took a very long time the first time I tried to pick it up just to get to see the tailor - despite paying $1,000 for a "custom" suit, it was really more just a special order of off-the-shelf jackets and pants. My fiance is pretty upset with how it came out; I'll be going to a different tailor to try to salvage the suit before the wedding. On the bright side, they have a wonderful selection of casual shirts which I enjoyed browsing. Also, the quality of fabric is very good. read more

My recent visit to the Reno, Nevada location was honestly shocking. There was an entire family sitting on the floor inside the store eating hamburgers and fries, with the smell of food throughout the sales area. One person was wrapped in a blanket. The atmosphere felt chaotic and completely unprofessional for a men's clothing store. I ended up putting my items back and leaving without making my purchase. I came into this Men's Wearhouse early in the morning and was the only customer in the store. My goal was simple. I wanted to get updated measurements. I have lost over 70 pounds recently and none of my current clothes fit. This includes four suits, all from Men's Wearhouse, and numerous dress shirts, most also from this store. I have been a repeat customer for many years, so I expected the same level of service I received in the past. Instead, the experience was unpleasant. The associate who assisted me, an older shorter woman, repeatedly questioned whether I was going to buy anything today before agreeing to measure me. Even after I explained my significant weight loss, my full Men's Wearhouse wardrobe at home, and that I was preparing for Black Friday shopping, she remained dismissive. She refused to write down any of my measurements and refused to provide them to me even after taking them. She also measured my hips but would not tell me the number when I asked. This was disappointing because in the past Men's Wearhouse associates would take full measurements without hesitation, write them down, save them in the system, and treat me like a valued customer. Today was the complete opposite. I walked out feeling like an inconvenience, not a customer. I will not be buying my next suit from Men's Wearhouse and I will not be recommending this location to anyone. I Have been here a few times so far this yr. 1 to buy a suit / switch out a shirt / and recently get some pants hemmed up. I will say the customer service was top notch. As soon as i walked in was greeted and asked if i was looking for anything in particular. This was when I bought my suit and any other time i have come in . They were a little busy today but was helped immediately and was in and out within 20min of what i needed done . I pick up pants Friday . We used this Mens Warehouse ten years ago for our wedding and back then, it wasn't all that bad. Ten years later, I come back to look for a vest to wear to our wedding anniversary party and it was way different. For starters, it was obvious that they were short staffed. To make matters worse, it's Easter weekend and prom season. So the fact that I had to wait a while isn't entirely the fault of the employees. However, we were standing in line to check out after deciding on a vest. The gentleman in front of us was being a bit difficult for the employee at the register but at the same time, that same employee was moving insanely slow (not to mention the other employee just standing there off to the side). When they were finally done, the employee walked away from the register, leaving us just standing there. I said something, and to be fair, he apologized and said he would get somebody. I understand he probably had another customer(s) that needed to be fitted or something but instead of just walking away like he did, had he just communicated that with me my attitude towards it would have been a lot different. Besides that, the place was an utter mess and wasn't indicative to a professional environment whatsoever. There were literal piles of boxes just thrown about and small pieces of plastic, torn bags, and other debris all over the floor. Prom time for all you high schooler parents, can you feel me? My oldest didn't get a prom due to COVID so this is my first kid I got to take prom shopping. We got there right at opening on Sunday at 11 and there was already 3-4 groups of people waiting to get in. As we poured in, we were assigned a salesperson to assist us in our endeavor. We got Guillermo(?) (or "G") and he was a huge help. They go over the styles of tuxes and suits available, the color choices, shoes (if you want to rent those too) and he had answers for all our questions. Once we picked out the style and color, they then take measurements and try on different coats, vests, pants, and shoes to see that the fit is good. The whole process seemed very thorough and we are excited to see my kiddo in his fancy tux! It is kind of pricey but we didn't care because he will only have one prom. The total rental cost was $240 and that was for a tux jacket and pants, bow tie, vest, cleaning fee, and some premium matte black shoes. We can pick it up a few days before prom and it's due back two days afterward. It was a pretty good experience because our sales guy was super helpful and friendly which I appreciated as we had no idea what we were doing! read more

There's no need to sugarcoat the entire process at this location and this chain. I am convinced if Reno had ANY other options for rentals they would be out of business. Every interaction (and there were many for this recent event) was subpar. First - we all went in for the brides to choose the suits for those of us in the wedding party wearing suits. They already had colors and styles chosen, they just wanted to see them in person. The "customer service employee" (in quotes because there was no customer service to be found) spent almost an hour telling them their choices weren't good and wouldn't look good in pictures. Grey slacks, grey vests, white shirts and green ties wouldn't look good? Why, because we said we were wearing brown shoes. The employee literally said he would complete the order but REALLY didn't suggest it. Seriously, be quiet and ring us up. Second - we all came in at different times to be sized. I requested slim fit pants but they didn't have them in stock. I said I would try on the regular ones but please order the slim fit. Left a deposit. Grabbed the receipt. Moved on. Third - brides get a call I never came in for sizing. I call them back and find out they put mine under one of the brides names NOT MINE. So they say it is corrected and I just need to come in a few weeks before for a fitting if I want to check sizing. Fourth - 2+ weeks before the event I cruise in for "brief" check on my fitting. They CANNOT find my info anywhere - even with my receipts. So we start all over and they say it's all under my name now, slim fit slacks, vest and tie. Fifth - I call the day before the suits are due and they say usually they come in early but this time it didn't. I will get a text and then I can come in. Sixth - I have heard nothing and have no texts so I head into the store around 4:30PM on Thursday (the day the suit was promised and 2 days before the event). I sign in on a piece of paper and wait... and wait... and wait.... they help 3 of us at once and wind up successfully helping the two people who were behind me as I stand waiting. Two more people are helped. I remind the employee "helping me" I still don't have my suit. He says he "can't find my name." He takes me receipt and looks something up. He hands back my receipt and then disappears into the back. Minutes pass and he comes out with two suits. I say "why are there two?" Response: "You have two pairs of pants and two vests." OMG. One slim fit pant, one regular and two different vest sizes. Luckily I pieced together one suit and paid the balance and left. Seventh - post event I returned my suit and one other from the bridal party. I asked for a receipt for both. They said no need. I said "Yes. I don't trust this company. I want receipts for both." The young employee said "Ok but you have nothing to worry about." I left with my receipts in hand and swore to myself I will never give them business again. read more

I came in at 3:30 on a Wednesday & used the QR code to "check in," (get a spot in line).My confusion stems from this: as I stand here writing the review a guy comes in 5 minutes behind me who I informed needed to check in with the QR just walked up to an employee and informs him that he was told by his grooms party to come get measured. Employee asks if he has an appointment. The customer says no and the employee takes him back as I wait here longer and told by the same employee it's a 30-60 minute wait... the other guy who was waiting with me muttered "this is ridiculous," and left which will likely be my attitude to spending my money here in the future. read more

Came in to pick up a suit rental for sisters' wedding. So far, we're at 40 minutes and still waiting to be helped. Took 35 minutes for someone to get to me to see what brought me in the store. Don't think anyone in here was helped in less than 20 minutes. The employee running around lost has his shirt half untucked. I shopped here twice, and both times were bad! The first time I shopped here I was still doing college at UNR. I walked in, a salesman came to me and asked me what do I want. I guess I was too naive, so I flat out told him I know nothing about suits, and I need one suit for my business class's presentation. I don't know how it happened, but at the checkout the total was $1000 something. I wanted one suit, but ended up with two suits. And it's been 3 yrs, I've worn one of the two suits I bought. I had them tailored too, but the job done to the suits were bad! But again, back then I didn't know better. The second time, which was 2-3 weeks ago. I purchased a white dress shirt for work from here. I purchased the shirt, paid for the tailoring(have the shirt darted), was told I can pick up 2 weeks later. 2 week later I came in picked up my shirt without checking because I thought they are professionals, they must know what they are doing right? BIG MISTAKE! I went home and didn't bother to check it for another week, then on the first day I wore it to work, my coworker told me my shirt's darts look weird, not straight. Then I showed it to one of my friends who knows how to dart shirts because he does it to all his own shirts. He also told me the job done to my shirt is a wreak! So today, I walked into the store thinking it will be an easy return process. But no! I walked in, talked to a guy who asked for the manager. The manager came out asked me what happened and I told him the tailoring job done to it is a wreak, and I want to do a return. He said "No, I can't do a return, you wore it already. What I can do is to have the tailor fix the dart." I said " Will it be the same tailor, because if it is the same person then I don't trust this person." He insist no return. Then I lay the shirt flat on the table, I said " Does these dart lines look straight to you? The the line on the right side is off." He pulled out a measuring tape, measured it, then said " Ok, I'll process the return and refund." Phew~~ Then I noticed he was only gonna refund the cost of the shirt, but not the cost of the tailoring. So I pointed that out, and he added it into the total refund. *Don't quote me on this, but I THINK I was charged $15. The refund on the darts was $10. I just think that as a store manager, if you care about your customers and have their best interest in mind, the first thing you should've done when I presented the situation to you is to apologize on the behave of the tailor. Then open and lay the shirt flat on the table looking for what else might be wrong with the tailoring job instead of denying a reasonable return&refund request without a close look at it. Ay..... Very disappointed. In a conclusion, both visits left a bad taste for me. They don't have your best interest when doing business with you. They just want to squeeze as much money as possible off of you. Will FOR SURE never coming back to any Men's Warehouse locations. read more

Incredibly slow and avoidant male staff members. When present with no waitlist, staff members are avoidant to assist customers and will try to hide from customers all together. You will have to chase them down to get help. Male staff members were not personable and came across as rude with their flippant attitude when speaking to customers about their preferences and needs. When present with a waitlist, the staff are as unorganized as the store shelves and as unhelpful as moody teenagers. There is also no waiting area for customers to sit or even stand. When incredibly busy, like at prom season, the store is filled like a fish bowl with scattered men and women all uncomfortably leaning against shelves, walls, and racks. Probably a reason why the shelves were so unorganized and unpleasant to look through. There is no discernible reason why the process of renting a suit or buying a suit is so long. One female staff member was able to get two gentlemen fitted, adjusted and paid for within an hour by herself while male staff members seemed to drag out the process with one customer for over an hour. The waitlist is also not categorized by consultations or pickup. If you thought a quick pickup was possible when Men's Warehouse is busy, think again. You will have to wait on the waitlist with everyone else, same with returning your suit. Hope the establishment reevaluates their male staff and service attitudes and changes their waitlist format for a speedier process. read more

From start to finish, we were attended to by friendly staff. We didn't have any trouble with the timing of delivery or alterations. This may be the worst experience in retail. After making an appointment and arriving on time you will be instructed to sign in and wait to be fitted. You will be waiting for anyone who came in just before you too. So I would not make an appointment unless you enjoy getting frustrated. If you need help finding the sign in sheet don't worry other customers standing around waiting will help you because every employee is doing their best job avoiding making eye contact and working hard to not help you. If you are looking to have a similar experience at home I would recommend slamming your hand in the kitchen drawers. Ok, so setting up the tux rentals - I was a bit mixed on the feelings. The lady didn't see to listen much to what I wanted but we were able to get it worked out. Made the reservations. Was told to get people in for their fittings so the sizes could be reserved. I was also told the full payments didn't need to be made until the tuxes were getting picked up. I Had specifically asked about this. Two of the last three people to get fitted went in today. First, we are told that one of the tuxes is DISCONTINUED!! No email, no call, no heads-up. Just BOOM - discontinued. But hey - you can buy it...for $600! NOPE THEN - we are told that one of the tux that is being reserved today HAS TO BE PAID FOR TODAY! WHAT THE HECK?! Luckily we had already been putting money towards the tuxes so they were half way paid for... Extremely poor customer service. I understand nationwide options are limited but if you can avoid Men's Wearhouse - I highly recommend you do. read more

Their front end was good, my best man who had the suit sent here was given a shirt three sizes too small. Our event was almost an hour away and we had to come all the way back. When I asked what happened the short tailor guy said it was our fault, then switched that to it's part of the process, he took no accountability. Had he had just said sorry and left it at that it would have been better than the list of excuses. In addition he tried to say our suits were late before even looking at the tags. The experience went well up to pick up's, which was no fault of Men's Wearhouse, it was the shipping company. One tux requested to be picked up in the Bay Area local store of the guest. It was supposed to be at his local store on Thursday and he was leaving for Reno early Friday morning to head to the wedding. I got a call saying the tux never arrived, due to the shipping company. I went to the local Reno store to see how we can get this corrected. I worked with William who was super helpful and more than willing to do what needed to be done to make it right. He saw the tux had been reordered for replacement, but delivered to the store back in the Bay Area. I asked if we could get that order redirected to Reno, as the guest would not be in the Bay Area to pick it up. After William contacted internal Customer Service, he was advised to create a new reorder to be delivered to the Reno store. William guaranteed me a tux would be there on Saturday morning and to call right when they opened. Well sure enough the second reordered tux made it to Reno without issue! William was able to turn a possible issue, into a wedding party who all had a tux! read more

I don't know if all Men's Warehouse stores are this bad, or if it's just this particular location. But oh my gosh, what a complete nightmare and disaster. We all got fitted and got our rentals sorted out in Henderson/Las Vegas. Everything was fine at those stores. We set our rental pickup to be at this store for a wedding in Lake Tahoe. We drove down to Reno from Tahoe to pick up our rentals and walked into a fairly empty store (customer wise) and waited a very long time before we were even greeted by an employee. We told them we were there to pickup 12 suit rentals. The employee said she only had three of the 12. She didn't know where the others were, and she left it at that. The three that they did have, were all the wrong sizes. It seemed as if the sizes were mixed amongst the other rentals we were supposed to have. So people started swapping jackets with each other until one fit. After about 30 minutes of sizing nightmares, the employee *found* seven more of our suits. We arranged everyone to come down to try them on because we didn't trust the sizes would be correct. As of now, two of the 12 rentals were correct. The groom's suit was all wrong and he ended up going to JCPenny to buy a suit, since Men's Warehouse couldn't meet our needs. Mind you, we got fitted over a month ago. I hope everyone else's suits fit properly but we'll see. One of the suits is still MIA so we will make a trip from Tahoe to Reno tomorrow in hopes that the suit is there and the correct size. read more
