I've been here more than a few times as it's close to where I live. When it was clearance store, I bought a blazer. And just recently I came in to purchase a vest. I happen to mention that I was a veteran, and the guy helping me informed me it was veterans appreciation week, and I got 25% off!!! This location was a total and complete mess from the beginning.we sent 12 of our bridal party members her for suits. All suits were to be in on 8/21 as the wedding was out of town on 8/23. On 8/20 the best man went in to pick up his suit and the person who measured him did it incorrectly and the suit was the incorrect size. So, in other words, after wasting my time driving to the store because the posted hours of business on THEIR website is incorrect, she wants me to waste more time verbalizing that to ensure that they understand my concerns? I'm not sure that I can be any clearer, so no thank you. All you have to do is change the hours on your website to reflect actual hours and it would be nice if you also contacted Yelp so they can update them there as well. My husband has gone here a few times to get fitted. Each time he had a great experience. We had to get my 11 year old son suited for our wedding day on short notice. We did the rental option. T helped us and was very patient with us as my son is actually adult size vs child size. He had to try quite a few options. The younger gentleman who I believe is the manager (has also helped my husband on other occasions) was also very helpful and they both were able to work with us and get us the best reasonable deal and everything fitting perfectly. I do not recommend this location whatsoever. I purchased a suit for a funeral, the pants were altered in length and there was a permanent crease added. The suit jacket was not altered in any way other than dry cleaned by MW themselves. On the day of the event I tried on the suit but did not wear it due to the fit not being what I wanted and my family had decided to wear something different to honor my late father. When I tried to return the unworn suit I was advised by assistant manager Neal that they could not help me in any way, even though the suit was unworn. The reasoning was that because the tag was gone, the suit was "used." Furthermore, when MW altered it and pressed it they considered it USED, even though I never wore it personally, it was MW that did the adjustments. I tried explaining this to Neal, that in light of current events I had taken the tag off and did not save it but his only recommendation was that I could "use it for a different event." Really classy, Neal. I would not recommend this location at all, and I am seriously considering any future purchases from this retailer. The customer service offered at the San Leandro location was woeful. If you are looking for a suit, you would be far better off going to a different location, or better yet a different retailer. Neal, you have a lot to learn in customer service. I understand you don't want to have your store lose sales numbers, but consider if one purchase it worth losing a customer in the long run. read more

Poor customer service. I went with my son to get fitted for a tux for wedding party he is in. Terry/Terri took his measurements gave him a dress shirt, pant, and jacket to try on. The shirt looked too big as did the jacket. Not once did she attempt to suggest or offer going down a size. I asked for other options and she said "what you see is what you're going to get; it's the suit that was picked out" I asked if we could try a different size shirt (sized down) and brought it and it fit much better. After that we said we would come back. I asked if she would keep his info and she says no, he would have to start over. I asked if I could then take the form she was documenting on and she said " you can if you want to" pure attitude!!! I still even purchased a shirt from her. I went to MW for two suits and two sport jackets. They said they could fit me but they had to order them. I said fine as long as they will fit me. After about two months (waiting for their seamstress to return from vacation) I went in to be fitted for alterations. I was worried then that nothing was fitting correctly but was told they would correct it. Well, when I went back to pick them up not one thing fitted me correctly! The salesperson that was helping me admitted that they were the wrong size for me. But offered no fix. So after $2000 I left with nothing I would wear! read more

I normally don't give out stars this low. This is 2 months late because I just got back home couple of weeks ago from the vacation. Been tired and got busy lately as well. I needed to bring this and say something. We were attending a wedding destination first week of Sept so my husband and I went to this branch in San Leandro, on 2nd week of August. As soon as we walked in, we can already feel the not so warm ambience. There was not one customer when we came in and there were three employees at that time. Two males and one female all just talking. My husband asked the first question to the lady and she replied with a not so happy remark. We continued to go inside further to look for his tux and she followed. Not even a greeting or a smile. We told her that we needed a tux so she found one for my husband but before we got the most perfect one, she tried to offer first the more expensive one. We told her that we can just afford between $399-499. She looks like she wasn't happy at all assisting us because We also needed an alteration for his pants. She seems to be irritated that she had to take measurements for his pants length and everything. To sum it all up, the buying experience was not at all a pleasant one for me. We had to come back after a few days to pick up the altered pants. As I got in there, she was there at the front trying to fix something with another young female. No greetings etc and just that dry look on their faces staring at me walking in made me think "Do I have something on my face?" Lol read more

David, the sales associate for the Men's Wearhouse in San Leandro was very helpful in guiding me to select a sport coat for the holidays. Sometimes you don't need a suit and a sport coat will fit the need. I talked to David and he helped me try on different colors and fits of sports coats...from slim to modern cut. I must have tried on ten sportcoats and told me the pros and cons on each fit. He knew how the jacket should sit on the shoulder, chest and arm length and critique each one I tried on. I ended up buying a medium blue sport coat with a window pane pattern. Another plus with David is he showed me how to pair up the combination of sport coat and shirts, ties, pants and shoes to wear. So when I wear the sport coat I know I have options and I look stylish. So many guys would ended up wearing the same sport coat, shirt, pants and shoes to different events. I ended up buying a sport coat and three dress shirts. Please see picture, the khaki pants were for demo only. 5 stars David for your great customer service and your style knowledge. I brought my six year old son and 80 year old dad in for a fitting for suits for my brother's wedding. It was a tedious experience. We were made to wait for the fitting lady while she sat in a rolling chair and looked at her phone for five minutes. Finally the lady at the counter cleared her throat and we got some help. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and my son's suit does not fit AT ALL. The pants are literally six inches too long and the shirt is way too small. These are the same clothes we tried on and the woman said "we'll get him a bigger shirt and we'll make sure the pants fit" nope--not sure what happened here but I had to leave my son's shirt unbuttoned and hem his pants with safety pins. read more
