Ok . Where do I begin. Family run business. A very very nice couple . Very attentive to my needs and help teach me about the cowboy hats and we found one that's good for my big head. A very nice selection of hats , boots and shirts for me. I didn't know how nice cowboy boots weee and some that they have a so beautiful. The stitching is amazing and they have quite a few sizes. I walked into the store after, reading up on the internet . After perusing the store , I found a pair of woman's cowboy boots that I wanted to try on. I asked the young man behind the counter for my size which it seemed he was reluctant to respond to. He said he would check . Another individual finally brought ONE boot to me. I thought it was odd that he would bring only one boot without the box and the other side as the majority of shoe stores do but ok, I tried the one on. Liked it a lot and asked if there was a full length mirror that I could see a full size of me wearing the one shoe before I bothered him for the other. He stated that there was a full mirror in the back but they don't like people to wear the merchandise to the rear as it's scuffs up the soles .The area was carpeted. I took off the boot and walked back with my croc s on to find the mirror. I did not see one unless it was in the dressing rooms. I knew immediately that I was not wanted in the store. Another customer entered the store at the same time I did with his family wanting shoes and they served him next to me with two pairs each in a box with both sides for him to try on. He was Hispanic! This store is owned by Hispanics of which I was aware before I travelled to the store but that's not odd in California and on international blvd and a store is a store . What was odd was that as a black female in my senior years and a long time wearer of Tecovas cowboy boots, I felt disrespected as if I had no business shopping there something I haven't felt for quite a while in the Oakland Bay Area. I guess they only cater to HISPANICS. ITS TOO BAD, because they lost approx $250.00 in sales. They didn't sell Tecovas which I knew from prior research so didn't expect to find them but the ONE side of Ariats I tried on , I liked. I couldn't give them my business even if I was in dire need of a pair. I just put the boot back on the shelf along with the other single shoes and walked out and went back to my old Tecovas. I wear crocs when shopping for shoes as it's easy tootsie off etc. boots take time. I own several pairs of cowboy boots that I've worn for years but gave my granddaughter a few pairs when Beyoncé was into her western tour. So I wanted another pair every day , any weather pair. I couldn't give them my hard earned dollars even if it was only $250.00 to a business that does not respect all people. I ordered them on line instead and will get another pair of Tecovas when I visit Texas. Thanks for the opportunity to vent. read more

I sent money to Mexico the total charge was $495.75 posted on the receipt but the owner charged me $500 and I requested my change and he said that they round up other wise he won't make any money, so the fee to send money using western union is $10 but he is rounding up in order to make more money I am pretty sure this is illegal and also unethical. read more

José was very kind and patient and helped us try on so many different items until we found the perfect fit. I went in to buy a pair of boots. The owner's son served me. He didn't measure my feet and expected me to know what size I needed. My feet are too wide for women's boots so I had to guess on the size in men's boots. I also wasn't sure how boots are to fit since the toe is longer than my daily shoes. As a result, I got home and realized the boots were too large. I took them back (it took two trips as the store was closed during their open hours the first time) and was told there is a no-return policy. There is a sign in the shop posted on the front of the counter and is only visible from one corner of the store. The owner's wife was in that day and did offer to exchange them. She didn't have anything in stock that worked so I had (again) to guess on the correct size and she ordered a pair for me. It took almost a month for them to come in and, again, they are too large. I'm left with a beautiful pair of boots that don't fit. Does anyone want to buy my men's 9.5 boots? read more
