Very good ramen spot. I was surprised about how much protein was in my ramen. Typically it's thinly sliced, but not here! This spot is not that big, so during busy times you might find yourself waiting to be seated. I would definitely come back for more.

Came here for lunch with my husband on a Saturday and got seated right away. The restaurant is small with only a few tables, and the atmosphere is laid back and very casual, but the food is excellent. We got the Couple Set, where you pay $50 and get to pick three appetizers to share, and two entrees. It was very reasonable. We ordered the edamame, which had a unique seaweed seasoning on it that was very good, the kimchi gyoza that also had pork and was delicious, and the Chicken Karaage, (fried boneless chicken). For the entree, I had the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu which had pork and my husband had the Tonkotsu- we both liked our dishes very much. The service was quick and the prices were good, so if you are looking for a fast meal that is comforting and satisfying, try this place out.

Great location - it was in the same plaza as Kings grocery store so there was ample parking. Service was friendly. The actual ramen itself was okay, not the best I've had. I wish there was more broth & something tasted like it was missing something additional to make it a little better. The actual restaurant was very spacious & had ample seating.

Loved them ramen options! Owner was awesome. The spicy miso was my favorite. They also have a truffle and vegan ramen option. They have nice appetizer and rice bowl options.

Once again, Menya Ramen in Ridgewood delivers a knockout with their Spicy Tonkatsu ramen. I ordered through Uber Eats, and it hit the spot like always. The quality of the ramen was amazing--every detail was on point. I requested the spice on the side, which allowed me to control the heat perfectly. The pork was tender, just the way I like it, and the flavors were incredible. This is my third time reviewing them, and I have to admit--I think I'm officially addicted. If you're a ramen lover, Menya Ramen is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Great ramen, casual atmosphere. Good for kids. Highlights are obviously the ramen and fried chicken wings. The ramen soup can be altered to your desired level of spiciness. I got level 2 and I was SWEATING. It was delicious but just beware they're not kidding about spicy. We'll definitely be back for dine in and take out.

It's really hard to find a good ramen in Bergen County --- for the most part, you have to take a drive down to Edgewater or Fort Lee to find an authentic bowl of ramen. Menya Ramen is an unassuming ramen shop in Ridgewood, and judging by the ratings both on Yelp & Google, I was intrigued because many reviewers stated their ramen was top-tier. The inside probably can fit 25-30pp total, it's not that big. The kitchen is open so you can see the chefs moving around and doing what they do best. There was one server; she was quiet, but very proficient at her duties as server. For the food: I got the lunch kit ($17), which included a choice of any of there ramens (excluding, I believe the Spicy Kaisen), plus 4 fried gyoza. My lunch kit included the Spicy Miso Tonkatsu Ramen (added an egg for $2) + 4 kimchi gyoza, and and order of the Fried Karaage ($8). First the Karaage: Delicious off the bat; plump, savory, seasoned pieces of popcorn chicken, topped with a seaweed sprinkle garnish + kewpie mayo. Was it the best karaage? No, but it was damn good karaage. Second, the lunch kit: The ramen, off the bat, looked pretty decent. It looked put together, cohesive, and the broth looked rich. All the flavors were amazing....my only complaint? The noodles, for me, were not the right consistency. They were too short, a bit too undercooked; I was looking for those long, chewy noodles...these weren't it. Besides the underwhelming noods - which were still good - , everything else was absolutely DELICIOUS. I would definitely come back again, and maybe if they're open to some of my criticism: possibly explore different ramen noodles for the best consistency. 4/5

Nice ramen spot with good appetizer menu. Service was super quick and reasonably priced. Convenient parking. Only complaint is that the chairs are very hard. Maybe they do not want you to sit around too long so they can turn the tables over.

Love this place! The food was really good, ramen was delicious and the chicken ... yum! I had a mixed plate of the different options of chicken, they all were good. Also had a really cool pop that had a marble inside cool and refreshing. The staff was really nice, all the times I visited. Recommend for sure.

Miso Ramen, really good! Pork falls apart.

Nothing really stood out to me as far as flavor or noodle texture. The curry was almost all just sauce over rice so I would pass on this dish next time. Loved the fried chicken though. What started as a handful of niche noodle shops is now a full-on culinary movement. All across Jersey, ramen chefs are crafting rich broths, house-made noodles, and inventive toppings that delight the senses. Located on State Street in Hackensack, I frequent this establishment numerous times during the year. Ramen Azuma pours out their soul in preparing perfectly the classic Japanese cuisine. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the staff and got an empty table by the window inside their cozy and inviting vibe. Their menu features a wide selection of ramen, curry, and appetizers. I decided on their newest edition--Wonton Ramen and 3 pieces of Fried Chicken. The savory ramen soup was filled with shrimp wontons. Even though they were very thin wonton wrappers with a smaller amount of filling, they tasted consistent with other shrimp wontons from past restaurants, accompanied by Menma Bamboo, Scallions, and Egg. The Fried Chicken was well seasoned. The food overall remained authentic and incredibly flavorful and on point. The portion was very generous. Friendly service, and the price was reasonable. Make sure one comes on an empty stomach.

Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner. Seeing the pouty little grump in a small fit, the girls at the counter coaxed him over with ice cream and stickers, which he of course eagerly accepted, pleased by the attention and confection, and was soon back to his endearing self. So I really appreciated their extra kindness! This is a fab joint for a quick-casual or just a perfect sweet treat!

My husband and I really wanted some restorative, Japanese comfort food. However, we were unable to go there in person because he was sick, so I ordered delivery from them for the first time (via Uber Eats). The food held up well in transit and was just as good as if we were dining in. I went with a Karaage Rice Bowl with a Ajitama (6 minute egg) as an added extra. My husband went with a Vegan Ramen bowl. While we were supposed to share the Crispy Tofu Buns, my husband couldn't stop after one. Hey, I can't really blame him though, they are delicious. I can't say I would not have done the same thing had I gotten to them first ;)

I don't live very close so I thought I'd order a few things on the menu to try a variety. Was glad I did. Started with the cucumber salad. Light. Refreshing and even has a little kick. I couldn't stop eating it! Ordered the braised pork belly Bao. Comes in orders of 2. Sooooooo flavorful and so worth it! Ordered the Short Rib Ramen and their Special Spicy Tonkotsu ramen. So much flavor in the broths. Very filling and the numerous flavors from the fresh onions, to the beautifully cooked pork belly and short rib, to the perfect soft boiled eggs. A+! Will most definitely be on my mind to stop by every time I'm in the area!

We walked past it 3 times and when we finally left they decided to shine a light with the logo on the floor. When walking in it's more of a lounge than a true restaurant so prepare for that. You will sit right next to people which isn't my preference but it was fine. We started off with the cucumber salad which was excellent. Just wish there was more cucumber than other veggies they put in it. We then got the Cacio e Pepe Gyoza which was the star of the show. It's was unbelievably good. We followed that up with the calamari which was also extremely good and finished our apps with the Chicken Bao buns that were delicious. My friend got the carbonara dinner and honestly I don't get all the hype. Honestly I thought it did not taste good at all. I had one bite and that was enough. I wasn't sure what it exactly was that made it unappetizing but it just wasn't great for the amount of hype social media gives it. The presentation was beautiful for pictures but the taste wasn't there at all. I had the Spicy Miso Ramen which was very tasty. Only problem was it was about 110 degrees in the restaurant which made hot ramen a lot less enjoyable. The beef that they also put in it didn't taste like much just a piece a beef so that was a little underwhelming. Service was very nice, it just seemed they struggled tending to each table consistently, not sure if they were short staffed or just extremely busy because it was a Friday night. Nonetheless everyone was super friendly and tending to our needs eventually. Overall, I'd say the appetizers were the star of the show. I thought all were delicious. Entrees were a little underwhelming though my ramen was delicious, it was just extremely hot in the restaurant for some reason. Staff were good and price was what I expected. Great place to try but probably won't go back. I shouldn't leave a place sweating after a date night. I think social media hypes the place up too much but it is good just not great. People who come here are worried more about posting on social media than getting great food that the price reflects.
