The mussels will love on in my heart as some of the tastiest shit I've ever eaten. This food was amazing. Tear inducing. My friend just said "oh my god" after every bite and that feels like an adequate summation. We got fish soup, calamari, mussels, and shrimp coquettes. We ate every last thing. One of those meals you keep eating after you're full. Staff was super nice and helpful, they spoke English, even if the menu is completely is in French. Judging by the faces around us, everyone enjoyed everything they got. Yeah. 15/10 wish I'd gone here sooner so I could go again.

Loved this place! It's actually a seafood market, little restaurants right next to it, there is a small area where you order or you can sit indoors or there is an outdoor patio that is covered and with a pretty view! So many items on the menu but we went for the mussels, shrimp croquettes, and shrimp! With a glass of rose. Very reasonable priced and absolutely fresh and delicious!!

great place to get simple no frills seafood. Luckily our hotel wasn't too far away from this location, and we came here when it was raining. There are a few seats inside the restaurant, but more outside. They have umbrellas to cover from the sun and or rain. We ended up getting razor clams, fish stew and calamari. Everything was great tasting and it didn't break the bank. They cook your items in the open, next door and it didn't take too long to get the food. I also like how they had a section to get fresh seafood to bring home if you live close by and want to cook. If i'm back in Brussel, i'll come back here.

We came at around 6:00pm and were afraid that they would be out of food since it was so close to closing but luckily they still had food. You order food at the counter and they shout out your name for the order and bring it to your table. I love this casual kind of place We got the mussels and croquettes. The mussels were very fresh tasting and lightly seasoned. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and soft on the online. It went really well with the salad. Good balance I found the prices okay - not super affordable but not crazy expensive either. I would recommend you try this place out and I would definitely come back

Food: Their fish soup was good, but nothing really special about their flavors. Their oysters were okay, but I wouldn't come back for them unfortunately. Overall, decent fish but nothing amazing. Service: Very friendly and attentive staff. Ambiance: There's no seating inside so make sure to bring a jacket and/or layer up when it's cold!

When we arrived, we saw them cooking outside. There isn't much seating inside, but there was plenty outside. After ordering, we waited for them to call out our name. We ordered oysters, razor clams, and calamari. Everything was fresh and I especially enjoyed the razor clams.

I came here for mussels and they were cooked to order. So delicious. They had a smoky flavor and a complex veggie (zucchini) sauce. The mussel pieces were so tender. I was also very pleased that I did not get food poisoning, which is always a potential problem with mussels. These people know what they are doing! The ordering is not very obvious. You have to walk all the way over to where it says Osteria. There is a person inside who is taking food orders. Then you seat yourself outside and someone will eventually call out your name so you can get your food. The food comes in disposable bowls. I liked my dinner experience very much. You can people watch while you eat. If I lived here, I'd go every day. They had several entree choices on the menu and I heard the soup was good too.

    Our orders

We ordered scampi, escargot, mussels, calamari and fish soup for a mid afternoon meal. Scampi and calamari included a salad side dish. And the dressing was so good! Scampi had 6 pcs, fyi. Escargot was a soup dish which i didnt expect, and spicy too. But it was good. My favorite among all the dishes we ordered. Fish soup was just ok. Something warm and comforting to beat the super cold weather. Mussels was another favorite. We spent €41.

    Delicious fresh seafood!

This is the place to visit in Brussels for fresh seafood. Such a lively and fun atmosphere. The service is top notch with their friendly vibe as they announce your name so happily as they bring your order to your table. We love the food so much we came back the next day. The escargot soup was amazing (spicy)! Of course I also love the fish nuggets and calamari. My sis and sis in law loved the fish soup. Oh, when you leave a tip the entire staff thanks you in unison as they announce your name. Loved this place!

This place is phenomenal! The lady taking orders was very friendly. There's plenty of seating outside, right next to a large church. The price was extremely reasonable for everything we ordered. I highly recommend!

One of our first meals here in Brussels and sure did not disappoint. As a seafood lover, this definitely hit the spot. Such a variety of shellfish to choose from. Even had grilled and fried options for those who are more weary on trying raw stuff. Everything we tried here was so fresh and so good. My faves have to be the razor clams and the mussels. But really can't go wrong with all the stuff in their menu

    Fish Soup and Grilled Shrimp.

This restaurant was one of two at the top of our list when my wife and I visited Brussels. It was all we expected and more. We each had a serving of fish soup and shared some grilled shrimp. Both dishes were great. Big plus - the shells were totally removed from the shrimp when they were served to us - the way they are supposed to be served!!! Wonderful atmosphere eating outside in a lovely area of the city. We couldn't have asked for better.

Menu.. Fish soup and escargot soup Must try...

They're famous for their seafood paella with lobster, which is a must-try here. We skipped it since we wanted to save our full paella experience for Barcelona. I ordered the seafood spaghetti and my husband fell in love with it lol. There's something special about the sauce, so rich and flavorful. It was so good that we had to come back again before leaving the city. We also had the mussels, of course. You can't come to Brussels and not do "mussels in Brussels." The white wine sauce was amazing, and the frites that came with it were hot, fresh, and perfect for dipping. Portions are generous and everything is great for sharing. We also loved the fresh rolls they bring out at the start. The service is great! The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. If I'm ever back in Brussels, I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Outdoor seating was the most popular but we dined inside out of the heat. Fans helped a bit but more would be better. Our server highlighted the lobster and sharing dishes but we ended up just getting paella and grilled fish. I was quite happy with the sea bream which was a substantial portion for the price. It was cooked nicely and very meaty with a mild flavor. The accompanying sides were not an afterthought since vegetables were tender, seasoned and the fried potato cylinders added a little texture. The paella was also a decent choice with lots of seafood variety but if the rice was wetter than expected and missing the browned crunchy aspect. The entrees were quite filling and we didn't have enough space for dessert. Service was as expected. One item to point out, we caught whiffs of cigarette smoke from the diners outside (via open front windows) which was a bit annoying.

Even though there were no seats available we switch gears as soon as we spotted this place, planked our elbows on the bar and got down to businesses testing some of the exciting tapas items on the hand-drawn menu. I had been in Brussels for over 24 hours and had yet to have anything fried, so fried was on my eating agenda. Cod fritters and fried mussels (which neither I nor my Brussels-born companion had ever seen) sounded like the perfect late afternoon snack to accompany our chat (as well as a glass of crisp white whine, what the hey?!). Since our spot at the bar was smack in front of the outdoor kitchen we were able to see everything prepared before our eyes. The mussels were steamed on the grill to get them out of their shell, then each one was coated in a light bread crumb mix and fried up fresh. Served with homemade tartar sauce they were beyond perfection: juicy, slightly spicy, crisp. The cod fritters were equally delicious in their tempura crust, but the mussels stole the show for sure. Who knew that you could have an authentic seaside experience in the heart of Brussels? Not me! But now that I've discovered this place you can guarantee I will be back every chance I get!
