My family and I had just eaten at the Pacific Mall, but man, wish we had saved ourselves for this spot. As far as an Asian grocery stores go, this is one of the cleaner, and better organized ones that I have been to, maybe ever. Not only are they clean, but they have a great variety of snacks and drinks, as well as your standard fare for everyday cooking. To me, the star of this place has to be their prepared foods area. Evidently after 8pm, they mark down lots of their prepared food items. From dim sum, to noodles, fried rice and other entrees, you can score plenty of items for $4-6 which were normally 2-3x that. I felt like a kid in a candy store and began snatching and hording all the things. I had to stop and remind myself we were on vacation, and would be living out of hotels for the next few days, so I limited myself to just a handful of items. We got some noodles, fried rice and dumplings, which we would end up eating for breakfast over the next few days. While nothing was mind blowing per se, the food was solid and certainly economical. If I lived in this area, I could see myself coming here on the regular just for the prepared foods. OVERALL - almost wish I hadn't come to this place, so I'd never knew what I was missing. Thank you Canada for showing me what's possible. CELEBRITY RATING - Simu Liu

After the event was over, I did some browsing around the supermarket before I left. It was my first time at any Galleria Supermarket. Think T&T Supermarket, but with Korean goods. I dig supermarkets and this one was cool. It's funny that I pass by the Galleria on Steeles Avenue West, just west of Yonge Street, every week after work. I've never gone in there, mainly because I'd have to do a left turn from Steeles Avenue West. When leaving this place, I'd need to do a left turn without a set of traffic lights. Otherwise, I'd have to do the around-the-block set of right turns. It's just seems so inconvenient. If I were heading westbound, I'd have better luck. I do like this Galleria. There was a lot of parking. I am also familiar with the area, with California Sandwiches around the corner. I saw massive tubs of kimchi. When you see so many varieties of kimchi and the vessels to have it ferment if you make your own, you know that you're in a good supermarket with everything that you need. I liked seeing travel utensil kits with chopsticks, spoons, and more. I got stuck in the housewares section, looking at plates, bowls, kettles, frying pans, rice cookers, and more. I love small appliances. It was so tough tearing myself out of this part of the store. I had a can of Sac Sac from the event. It had peeled grapes in it. It was so good that I know I'll return to this supermarket just for this product alone. So good! I frankly would like to live in this supermarket. It has heat-and-eat items. There's also a food court that I need to explore. It's a huge store! I loved everything that I saw. I'll be back to buy and be broke afterwards. (447)

They had so many tasting stations and I tried persimmon before it got soft for the first time and really enjoyed it. We also found some spicy raw crabs, which were very reasonably priced and tasty. They also had sashimi grade frozen hamachi which could be thawed and immediately eaten. All the station ladies were really friendly and it wasn't crowded with K-pop playing. Very glad we dropped by today.

The store is clean and bright. I especially love their collaboration with Vitasoy, where you can snag a free keychain with your purchase - such a fun little bonus! Plushie Hong Kong Signature Snacks keychain blind box was such a fun bonus! Yes, there can be long lines, but let me tell you, it is well worth the wait for an egg tart or a suimai. Whether you are looking for your favourite snacks, exploring new flavours or k beauty, T&T never disappoints. Can't wait for the next collab!

The produce and vegetables are hit or miss in terms of freshness. The meats seem okay though. Their cooked foods are also hit or miss - sometimes lots of fillers/dough. On this occasion, we picked up some turnip cake and taro cake for lunar new year. I think they made it with the wrong flour because it was super gummy and chewy - more like "leen go". In summary, not a bad place to go for Asian groceries but have to be selective in what you pick to buy.
