Bought a very specialized and hard to find wheelchair here for my son after a long nationwide search. After speaking with Lori over the phone, I drove from Sacramento to pick it up. Lori was so kind and helpful and really took the time to go over all of the unique features and made sure it was going to be the right fit for my son. She truly cared and gave us outstanding customer service! There was a bit of a hiccup on our end with insurance, and again, both Lori and Sabrina went out of their way to help us out. It's frustrating as all hell when you talk to different receptionist and they give you the run around. I had surgery and had to walk in to sign a paper as my insurance had picked up my prescription. I was told to walk in and only sign a paper so I wouldn't have to pay again. NOT THE CASE. I came in and the receptionist said I owed $25 for the specific ELR pieces and also had to bring in the old wheelchair to swap out for another one. Okay wait what? AND she had nerve to say she talked to me, yet she didn't mention that I had to pay for anything or bring the old one in. Customer service lacks hard and if I knew her name I would put it in but nope, no nametags. read more

The receptionist was very rude to me on the phone, sounded like an older very bored and sarcastic African American woman. They also took weeks to call me back about a shower chair for myself and had previously told me they'd deliver the chair and now my family has to go pick it up for me. Ridiculous service and the least they could do would be polite on the phone when contacting crippled individuals who have a lot more to deal with during their day than someone with both of their legs. read more

I went in because I needed a CPAP for my sleep apnea. The problems started even before my appointment date. Problem 1 - My appointment was for Friday May 4th so I could have over a week before we left for vacation. They called the Tuesday before reminding me of my appointment on Wed. the 2nd. I told them they had the wrong date and that I couldn't make that day. The next available was for the 8th, which meant I only had 3 nights of use before vacation. When I did get fitted things seemed to go fine. Problem 2 - A couple of weeks after use I wanted a different mask. The sleep coaching company, sleep apnea treatment sucks, told me I had to wait at least 30 days. I did, but when I called Merced Medical they told me I needed to do this before 30 days. Problem 3 - I received and paid my bills, one for the CPAP machine and the other for the mask, tubing, filters, etc. A month later I received another bill for the CPAP machine. When I called to say that I already paid this I was informed that the bills for the machine are rental fees. Nobody told me this. It's not stated anywhere on the bill, statement, nor invoice. In fact, I was told that there would only be a rental fee if I stopped using the machine within the first 90 days. When I asked why the bill does not indicate that this is a rental charge they didn't know. I know, it's because they are trying to pull a fast one on unsuspecting customers. DO NOT USE Merced Medical Supply. Drive out of town if you have to. They lie and try to cover it up by not giving all of the information up front. read more

Merced Medical Supply as a company is ridiculous. I have had my CPAP machine for the past 6 years and unfortunately get my supplies through them. The employees regularly mess up the orders. Twice I have called in supply orders and then wait for delivery. When by NEVER arrives! This just happened again! Three weeks ago, I made an order... the employee seemed competent and was very friendly and polite. However, after waiting for three weeks, I called to find out why I had not received supplies. I was told by another employee, that there is no order! I am shocked at the incompetence of this companies employees! The only way I am able to get an order filled is to call the manager directly! I have to find another company covered by my insurance (which is a private, excellent insurance). My recommendation is don't waste your time with Merced Medical! read more

They once again did not bill my mom's insurance right and are now calling and harassing us to have my terminally ill mother go in for testing and recertification during a covid outbreak! Also threatened to remove the oxygen for her home! They really need to be investigated pronto! read more

I only wish I could give less than one star for Merced Medical Supply!!!! My mom hurt her knee and was told that she needed a wheelchair to get around. I called Merced Medical Supply to find out what I needed to do, and they told me they needed orders from the doctor. The doctor's office faxed over the orders to Merced Medical Supply, and I called Merced Medical Supply back to make sure they received the paperwork. They said that it would take a few days for Medicare to go through, and I told them that I would take care of it until Medicare kicked in because my mom couldn't be without a wheelchair. I gave them my credit card number. The wheelchair was delivered and everything seemed okay. We thought at first it would only be a week, but then found out that she had broken it and would be wheelchair bound for about six weeks. I called back to Merced Medical to find out if they had heard from Medicare yet and ask how to handle it since we would need the chair for a longer time. I was told that it would just roll over to a monthly rental and that when Medicare came through, it would be transferred to that. Thankfully, my mom's knee healed beautifully, and we no longer needed the wheelchair and had it picked up. Yesterday, my mom got a bill from Merced Medical Supply stating that she had a Past Due balance. I called them to find out what was going on, and I found that they had not turned it in to Medicare because, "It was not the correct paperwork for Medicare to approve it." What? Why weren't we informed of this so that we could get the correct paperwork? Apparently, we can't do anything about it now, because the chair has already been picked up!!! I am so frustrated and disappointed in Merced Medical Supply..... It is not even the money...it is the point that they failed to let us know that they didn't have the correct information and we have no recourse! Businesses are built on customer service, and this business FAILED in my opinion. read more

I went in and tried to get my prescription for arm brace. And soon as I showed them what insurance I had they treated me like crap! Then I went to ask the cashier a question about a brace and she looked right at me and walked away without one word! I will never go back and will make a complaint to the medical board! read more

I actually reside in Kentucky but I'm living in Modesto temporarily and I have a cpap machine. I've had it about 4 years on an old insurance plan so it's not covered anymore. I started having problems with it recently. I called all around Modesto but no one services them if they aren't their rentals. So I got desperate and called this place in Merced. I got the friendliest service on the phone. They arranged for me to speak to a member of their staff and worked around my schedule to make it happen. I'm not even a client. I drove down and they checked out my machine and ran a report off my storage card to see if the machine had been running right. This was all free of charge. Thanks to their expertise and advice I was able to solve my problem. I now feel better again and my machine is working correctly. If you are looking for dedicated professionals this is the only place to go. Even if my insurance doesn't cover to get supplies or a new machine from this place, I will most likely pay cash. This review is in regards to their 24hr on-call answering service. We were visiting Sonora area to go camping over the past weekend. My husband forgot his cpap mask and we didn't realize until late night on Friday. He tried to sleep without and when that didn't work, we made a makeshift mask (which didn't really work either). At about 2am I started searching in the internet for cpap supply locations nearby (we were 3hrs away from home). I called after finding the 24hr hotline and the fact that they were one of almost none cpap suppliers I could find nearby. The woman who answered was very kind and supportive of our situation, I really felt like she cared about our situation and wasn't rude considering the time of night. She asked us to call before her shift ended right before 7am to get in contact wth a staff member who could open the store for us on a weekend (when they are usually not open) so we could pick up and buy a mask. By going here we were able to keep our camping trip and save half the time! If we would of had to drive home, we would of ended the trip. My husband was back with us and we were so relieved that he was getting the sleep therapy he needed. I'm glad they have the hotline it brought a lot of peace of mind knowing we could get answers and resources when emergencies happen. read more
