They also said there were no orders for me then they said there was and lastly they changed their mind again and said they couldn't help me without an order. Shame on you for your staffing choices they seem to be motivated by friends and family, not competent workers. There is ZERO comprehension of the "urgency" of my needs; it is for my BREATHING for God's Sake. They denied my much-needed and electronically submitted "Order" for my compressor nebulizer plus a prescription to go along with it. I worked for several weeks to try to get this fiasco corrected and every time I'd phone the business, I would reach someone who didn't speak fluent English which is the staple of this Country USA, and to top that, the people didn't know what they were saying and 100% of the information they "reluctantly" gave me was incorrect! I took many photos because I wanted the public to know how much medical and ambulatory stuff people need back here but then I'm glad I am just now writing and crafting this review. I was even given a thank-you gift (from the previous employee on my first trip here with Dave for writing on Yelp about my experience) and for saying I was going to craft a great positive review but now I just cannot rate this business more than 2 stars. The original employees who were so helpful and jolly were not working on this day if they even still work there that is. Kudos to those who did work here nearly 2 years ago as they carry so much stuff for healing and care that it can save you from having to order stuff online. They had a ton of DME for seniors and individuals in general. I was shuttle-bussing my dear next-door neighbor & friend Dave, who also happens to be a senior citizen, to attend his many doctor's appointments and last-stop grocery shopping. We were also perusing the diabetic shoes for him. Lastly, please take note that these photos were taken no more than 2 years ago and live and in person by myself alone it is not to support this business now due to the change in leadership and staffing from-hell that has occurred. Forget those other pharmacies, they don't even come close. I'm 80 and the pharmacist is always available to explain things. Usually same Pharmacist and he's really professional and happy to assist you . The ladies that work there are not dragging and burned out like the big chains. They are cheerful and great workers. I have not written a review of Carranza for fear that too many folks would flock there, but they deserve to be recognized. I would use this pharmacy if I lived miles away in Modesto. It should be noted that they are closed on weekends, but also noted they speak Spanish. It's a gem. Would you ever believe a Pharmacy was described as a gem. See for yourself.

My first visit left more questions because nothing could be detected, the office was searching for a specialist to refer me to when my symptoms became worse. On a Monday I was seen again and Dr. Andre was finally able to see that I suffered a retinal detachment. The staff worked hard to get me an emergency appointment for the retinal care center. My condition in less than week worsened to the point I had 20% vision left in my eye. The next day I was in surgery. Dr. Irish takes his time to explain things to you. Recently my wife had an irritated cornea issue and Dr. Irish stayed late to help her. Absolute life saver. When I recently went in for my appointment, the whole staff was wearing California State University, Stanislaus, lightweight jackets. I asked why and a staff member told me that they wanted to support our local university. Class act on their part. They obviously care about being a good neighbor. When my insurance changed, I had to seek care at other offices, and none of them were able to give me the correct diagnosis. Dr. Irish eventually did, which is why I was very disappointed to learn that he is no longer with the practice. A year or two ago, while Dr. Irish was still the doctor here, I had an appointment and went through the entire process of having my glasses ordered. The technician collected my payment and told me the glasses would be ordered. I knew glasses could take some time, so I waited. After about a month without hearing anything, I finally called and found out that my prescription request had simply been forgotten. I ended up requesting a refund. More recently, I have been trying to get another exam scheduled. My original appointment was in February, but because of a family emergency, I had to reschedule. I eventually got an appointment with Dr. Irish several months later. Then, shortly before that appointment, I was contacted and told it needed to be rescheduled again, this time until the end of August. During that conversation, I was also informed that Dr. Irish was no longer with the practice and that there was a new doctor. I was surprised because I had not previously been told that Dr. Irish had left. I decided to keep the appointment because the practice already had my records and history, and after waiting so long, I did not want to start over somewhere else. Unfortunately, today I was contacted again and told that the new doctor has jury duty, so my appointment needs to be rescheduled once again. I completely understand that things happen, and I do not blame the new doctor for having jury duty. I also want to be very clear that I have no opinion about the new doctor because I have not even had the opportunity to meet them yet. My frustration is with the repeated rescheduling and the communication surrounding these changes. I sincerely hope the new doctor is wonderful. My disappointment is really with the overall experience. A prescription request was forgotten while Dr. Irish was still practicing there, I had to request a refund, my exam has now been rescheduled twice, and I have been trying to get this exam since February. I also only found out that the doctor I trusted was no longer there when I was already being contacted about rescheduling my appointment. Dr. Irish gave me a reason to have confidence in this practice. I just wish the communication and follow-through had given me the same confidence.
