We interviewed a number of photographers and did a deep dive into their work before hiring Mercedes and Jesse to photograph our engagement session and wedding. I wanted to be sure that whoever we hired had experience photographing a couple like us - mid-40's, very different skin tones, and a plus sized bride. Mercedes Morgan Photography had full galleries of exquisite work, not just a few shots from their highlight reel. We shot our engagement photos in downtown Round Rock and I was hoping for just one or two that were ok. As a plus sized woman, I had gotten used to settling for ok photos that I merely didn't hate. THE BEST. Every detail was captured perfectly! I constantly look at our wedding photos because I literally am able to relive the entire day all over again every time!! We chose to work with Mercedes for our engagement and wedding photos after looking and talking with many photographers! I knew after seeing her work that I would love our photos but love does not even begin to express how I feel about them!! We ended up scheduling a second engagement session to take additional pictures with our pups because we loved them so much and we plan to continue to work with Mercedes for any future pictures! Mercedes is not only an incredible photographer but also just a wonderful person to be around on your wedding day. She handled everything with grace and ease and was willing to follow us where ever we decided to go. She was so amazing when dealing with our sweet but rambunctious little flower girl, frantic mother-in-law, and honestly a rather uncomfortable bride. Mercedes was actually referred to me by a friend and I'm so glad that I listened and booked her for my wedding! Her and her husband did a great job and I think they definitely went above and beyond what I asked for. I wanted both candid photos as well as posed photos and she did a wonderful job on both. She made sure to check each photo on the posed ones to make sure that everyone had their eyes opened and looking at the camera, etc. It was something that took as little as a couple of seconds to do but it really showed her attention to detail in my opinion. It's been two months after my wedding and when I asked her to do something she did it in a heartbeat and was glad to do it.
