If you are a plaintiff seeking justice for a wrong done to you, you will likely find a fair level of compensation for pain and suffering or breach of contract, and feel some satisfaction with your experience in the building. However, as a defendant it is more likely you will dread what this institution has done to you. All matters of social interactions that go sideways can find themselves being evaluated and judged here, although those that cross the criminal line will be heard and disposed of at the criminal courthouse a few blocks away. The four story hall of justice was originally designed for both civil and criminal cases and although less than 20 years old, legal conflicts have risen so fast that not only a second new building was needed just for the bad boys, and a third (the currently being renovated old courthouse annex) for the county prosecutor staff. The taxpayers can't be happy about that. There aren't enough judges to hear the cases that don't settle, so the wait for your day in court is often years after the events that began the long course to an uncertain outcome. It is frustrating and unpleasant, yet it is the system chosen to resolve conflicts with confrontations minimized. Oh, and the elevators are as slow as the slog to justice.

Went to 4 th floor for civil cases as told by a friend and the officers there had no idea either but we found it in my paperwork application and on yelp on my phone. Thank goodness at least they were nice about everything. I forgot two signatures and raced back a second time before closing time with doors locked upstairs and the lady at the guardianship office let me in. Thank goodness! A place for…read moreinformation The Municipal Building in the town of Mount Holly is a very functional and purposeful structure that was opened in 1930. A cool old building but not a particularly aesthetically pleasing one. It kind of remains me of an old school inside with the narrow halls and old stuff hanging on the walls. I don't think this place has been remodeled in quite a while. It is functional though, lots of signs to tell you where to pay various bills or get the endless town forms and little benches and chairs to sit on while you wait. Of course it's also a good place to find records and information about people that lived or were born in the area a long time ago. People that are now far, far away. The clerks and other various folks working here were all patient, pleasant and useful. When they didn't have the information I needed they explained why and where I could get it. Not the most attractive building in the town but it does have it's own kind of old school charm. A pleasant and functional place to visit when you need some information.

At 10.45 I was called and by 11AM I was in my car. The person interviewing me was very nice and the waiting time was just enough to review the questions one last time. You will have to take off your shoes and empty your pockets, to go through the metal detector. What was the best thing about doing the interview in this town, is that I was offered to be sworn the same day, which I did. The ceremony was very emotional as anyone who will finally become a US Citizen, will have worked at it for a while. Make sure that you see the entrance of the building along the main street, and not on the side.

While I sympathize with that person's situation, a bad Yelp review will not remedy those conditions, nor will it accurately portray how good this library is. Since my first review I have visited a handful of other NJ libraries and feel that this branch exceeds almost all of them. As with many things in life, it is the little details that matter. Starting at the entrance, and even at the exit doors( which are somewhat interchangeable ) you encounter book shelves containing FREE books. The subjects vary widely but I like to take a minute or two to scope out the selection. I have found some gems too!( most recently a very clean copy of Hawking's " A brief history of time") As another reviewer noted, there is almost always a book sale going on, the costs are about $1-$3,these books are in very good condition and are organized by subject or genre. As far as their book catalogue goes, most of my favorite fiction authors are represented, and the more contemporary ones are updated with their newer works in a timely manner. Older and critically acclaimed authors are also present, and their better known titles can sometimes be found with more than one copy. Recently I've been taking advantage of their DVD selection and find it to be much better than most other libraries. They seem quick to acquire new releases and many popular premium channel series are available. Skip RedBox and come here if possible. There are many programs and events to attend here as well, mainly for children but adults are not left out. They are now doing Saturday afternoon screenings of various movies, some for the whole family, with others being more R rated.( a recent screening of " American Pastoral" comes to mind) I have found the staff to be very friendly and often find myself discussing books, movies or authors with them. There are plenty of work stations, some with computers and others set up for you to use your own. And some pretty cool seating options too, think cozy couches and big Papasan type cushion chairs. Heck, there's even a table with a communal jigsaw puzzle awaiting completion. As I stated in my prior review, I hope that Mercer County residents and visitors utilize this resource. When you go in, you have to relinquish your ID. I think. No big deal. The permit people are fantastic. Hey, nobody wants to shell out money for anything, but such is life. One woman almost made me cry. She showed so much compassion to me that it struck me: I did not even know her, and she was so sweet in a sea of people who had robotic emotions or no empathy. (I am not special, but everyone deserves basic respect.) And the tax peeps- they never tired of answering questions. They were a big help. They were nice, both in person and on the phone. I almost forgot that I got married in this building. I had on a crown of rose leaves, and a teen library patron seemed struck by that. Afterwards, my dad told my husband to "take care of his baby." The police are in this building. No misbehaving. They will drag you into court. You can park across the street if there are no spaces left. The lots are tiny. The schoolhouse is still there.
