He walked us through the process, the benefits of solar and what set up makes most sense for us. He also was able to get us great pricing which was almost 10% lower than other estimates. Paperwork and payment was a breeze! Once the permit was approved (took about 5 weeks after signing the agreement), they came and installed the panels in a few days which was impressive (probably lucked out with availability). The install crew (was literally an army! about 8-9 guys) came promptly at 7:45AM (15 minutes early which was great) and was finished by 1PM. The head of the crew walked me through the process and closed out great showing me the app and next steps. Clean up was also fantastic as nothing was left behind. Currently we are waiting for the inspection so we can start banking the unused solar for future use. But still we are generating over 45 kWh daily (on a sunny day) and our average usage is about 30 (we have 2 EV's) so we are about 150% efficiency which is great. Though we can not bank yet, we are still utilizing solar power so our electric bill for the past week will be minimal. All in all, SUNation Energy is extremely professional, very knowledgeable and customer service seems to be a top priority to them. My neighbor and inlaws are now interested in solar and will be referring them to SUNation and Rob Moser - they also have very nice cash incentives for referrals!!!

I received my first, almost zero electric bill, and have banked enough kwh to keep us at zero cost for a long while. My only problem is that it's difficult not to follow the reporting software on a day-to-day basis. It's a habit I'll have to try to get over. I interviewed 4 solar companies before choosing Sunation. Working with Sunation proved it to be the right company and a pleasant experience. Their on-line programming seemed to be perfect and all the legal stuff was perfectly clear. If I needed to speak with someone, they were always there. The phone is always answered by someone who knows the answer or knows who knows. And since we're in for the long haul, it's good to know that the service line is always responsive. Approvals from the City and from ConEd seemed to be right on time just as they advised. Their master electrician served as our planning consultant for the physical installation and he made sure to seek my input at each step. When the time came for the installation the Sunation crew was amazingly efficient and the crew chief explained everything. The job was done earlier than was promised and with a thorough clean-up. And the system just works, quietly and powerfully. I couldn't be more pleased.

The Generac 7171 wireless unit I was looking for was in stock and they were able to schedule the reasonably priced install to be completed within a couple weeks. The quality of the communication with them including Kelly in the office and the installation work and efforts of the owner Mike, electrician Anthony and team was exceptional. Mike and Anthony are both fully licensed master electricians and their attention to detail is very evident in their work in every way. Responses to any questions I had were handled in a very professional and thoughtful manner. Attempts to discuss this estimate have as of now not been fruitful. I called this morning at around 10:30 to try to get some clarification & reached a full voicemail. A follow up text advising of same was met for a request that I be called. As of 7:00 nobody has reached out to me & that seems not the least bit shady. I would recommend at this point doing business with literally any other business & the more I think about this the more of a scam this seems. I'm further convinced this is not a legitimate business because they wanted to charge me for a part that was completely unnecessary & gave me the wrong estimate. It really seems like this businesses is just trying to take advantage of people. I implore anyone considering this company to stay far away. I guess their satisfaction guarantee is a joke too because the owner is only willing to refund the money they were paid unless this review is taken down. This morning when we shut off the air conditioning, electricity in parts of the house would also go out, and when the A/C was on only hot air was blowing as the outside condenser wouldn't kick on. My husband called up 2 A/C guys and they said that's an electrician's problem, then he called 2 electricians and they said it's and A/C problem. He then called Bill at Marathon and detailed the issue to him over the phone and Bill had it solved before ever arriving, then confirmed his diagnosis when he got to the house. It wasn't an A/C problem at all, it was damaged LILCO lines going to the house from hurricane Sandy. Bill fixed the problem, and within 20 minutes had the A/C running, and now no more issues with the electricity in the house. He replaced 50 year old connectors with heavy duty ones and now we can run ALL of the appliances (microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer) at once which my father-in-law could never do before. My husband says "Bill is the real deal", I say "He's really nice too!" Bill gets our HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!
