She stressed not to dot here & there but to put all over my face 2 x day for 4 weeks. I called within 24 hrs of using the creme 1 X as I thought it was quite a severe reaction for only using it once. (they don't accept pictures) but very abruptly told me I had to decide if I was going to use this or not, I could not start & stop & she needed let the Dr. know. After I thought about it my face was already unpresentable to the public so I used it 1 x day for 7 days. I called the office first thing Monday a.m. to let them know I was stopping the flourouracil creme. It is too painful& could not do it anymore. So, all I asked was to ask the Dr. what I could use on my face to get it back to somewhat normal. I had not been able to wash my face & only used vaseline. At 3:00 that afternoon had still not heard from the office so called again. The nurse I spoke to could not find my chart & said it was probably on the Dr.s desk but assured me someone would call me back. I did finally receive a call after hours which appeared to be coming from a call center (a script). She had no clue why she was calling me & asked if I had another appt. set up & said yes in March. She said "oh well you can continue using the creme & when it get unbearable take a break then keep following that protocol until your appt. in March"! Then you will have completed your 2 x daily 4 week treatment. Really! A call center giving medical advice that conflicted the paperwork I had initially been given from Dr. Beaudry?? I never did receive a call back from Central Illinois Dermatology office at all!! No follow up or asking me to come in the office. It was a horrible unnecessary experience that also kept me housebound for almost a month!

I felt at home since the beginning, which has done a lot to reduce any anxiety I had been having over the work to be done. The office is also technologically up to date with digital xrays, as an example. The doctor seems very savvy and knowledgeable, and is willing to offer good care suggestions and answer all my questions. If you are looking for a new dentist, call Dr. Roger Paul's office for an appointment. Also, there is good parking near the door, which I need. You don't even have to ask for toothpaste, brushes, or floss. It is all available as needed in the reception area.

Although it was a difficult surgery, having someone with Dr. Crawford's experience and ability made all of the difference. I feel tremendous and Peoria is lucky to have a surgeon as good as Dr. Crawford- he is as good as anyone in the country (and I have had surgeries in other parts of the country over the years). I almost went back to them anyway because of the horrible experience I had at Aspen when a friend of mine recommended I try Smalltown Dental, and I'm thankful for their recommendation! The staff is very nice and professional at Smalltown! The hygienist was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in great detail. Aspen didn't explain anything to me, the dentist was very rude, and they didn't have a dental hygienist available to clean teeth! They also referred me to an endodontist and told them they suspected I needed two root canals. The dentist at Smalltown said I do not need root canals, that there is no issue requiring an endodontist to examine my teeth! I appreciate the kindness and honesty at Smalltown, and I will continue to go there.

I chose the left side of my mouth for x-rays because I was in pain. The gal was back and forth with the dentist, who was with another patient, asking what she should do. She did this 3 times. Within those 3 times, I'm guessing at least 10 minutes passed where they could of done an x-ray on the 3 teeth and not just 2 that were on the same side. P.S. Dr John isn't here anymore.
