1100: I came in for a z-pac prescription. This urgent care has a solid two hour wait is what im told. Staff is courteous but understaffed. No restrooms despite the wait. Summary: One step below burger King. You won't get it your way. There is zero urgency by licensed medical providers at Meridian Urgent Care. I've been here before on weekends but the week day is a problem that Im finding This facility is understaffed and overwhelmed. Whoever owns this place needs to spend the money that makes people want to come back. The lobby has 30 people waiting and equally frustrated. I can go to the hospital ER for less headache. I have PPO insurance. UPDATE: two HOURS into the URGENT CARE and was called to the window for my co-pay. I was then informed that there is NO Doctor ON-SITE. This place is a money-grab. I appreciate the purpose of these type places but this one is extra deficient for service by clinicians (not staff emplyees) to patients. Still waiting...1415. sent to the room to be seen. they took my blood pressure but no comment on high or low. I guess I'm good. I was asked my weight and I accidentally understated by 100 pounds but they still wrote the lessor weight into the chart. I'm waiting...I'm told the iPad doctor will join shortly. no Doctor or Physician Assistant on site today. Another twenty minutes and staff came in with iPad to talk to tge Dr. I gave him my symptoms and ONE minute I have a prescription and left. Grea triage effort by staff to serve the clients. I don't think ill be back. seriously disappointed.

Don't do blood tests? I thinks that very odd! Wouldn't you need to know what's going on before loading with pills and misdiagnoses?

But they say they just can't take me today, sorry. I have had other doctors (even those that I have chosen via my PPO as primary care doctor) in this area that have refused me and straight up tell me that they only take geriatric patients. Why did my health insurance sign me up as PPO then as my primary if I am not geriatric and you don't serve non-geriatric clients? Anyways, I am now wondering if this place is doing the same. I guess when you live in a neighborhood filled with nursing homes and elderly care facilities, you can pick and choose your clientele. And of course they are going to take only the oldest, sickest ones--it's called PROFIT! To me, it sounds like DISCRIMINATION.

I spent a week in the hospital during a very serious and vulnerable time involving my heart and overall health. The one bright part of my experience was my cardiologist, Dr. M. Patel, who placed two stents and treated me with professionalism, compassion, and care. I am truly grateful for the way he communicated with me and helped me feel supported during such a frightening medical situation. Most of the nurses who cared for me were also amazing, attentive, and compassionate during my stay. However, there were still serious concerns that left me feeling emotionally distressed and unsupported as a patient. After my second stent procedure, there was an issue where my lunch and dinner were never ordered, and my husband and children had to repeatedly call so I could receive food. During recovery from a major heart procedure, basic patient care and communication should not fall on family members to manage. I also became deeply concerned when discharge was being discussed even though my blood pressure was still unstable after surgery. I ultimately had to contact a case manager myself because I did not feel medically safe leaving without additional observation. In addition, one staff interaction lacked the bedside manner and compassion that patients deserve during vulnerable medical moments. While I understand healthcare workers are under pressure, communication and emotional care matter greatly when someone is hospitalized and frightened. After leaving the hospital, I also called more than once to report my concerns and request follow-up regarding how I was treated, but I never received a callback or resolution. That lack of communication added even more stress during recovery. I share this review not to attack anyone, but because patients dealing with serious heart-related medical issues deserve to feel heard, respected, properly monitored, and cared for. I hope this feedback encourages stronger patient communication, follow-up, and accountability moving forward.

They wanted to put an IV in his arm to start giving him meds and even with me and 2 other nurses holding him down they could not put the IV in his arm and at least 3 different nurses tried on both arms. It was so traumatic for him and we ended up having to give him meds orally which was still a struggle but were able to do.And then the doctor ordered blood work but it took hours because there was a miscommunication with the phlebotomist saying they were waiting for him to get the iv to be put in but no one told them they couldn't do it. Then again for the blood work we had to hold him down again and 3 other nurses still COULD NOT DO IT. I had to tell them to try his hand instead and it still took a minute but they were finally able to get the blood needed. Then we waited hours...no one came by to check on him or update us on anything. After about 6 hours in the ER my son was feeling better due to the medications and was starting to get antsy and sice we had been there all day we had not eaten anything. I had to ask several nurses to please get the doctor to see what is going on. The doctor finally showed up and checked his vitals again and said that he was good to go and let me know all the medication he prescribed and then said to wait there for the discharge paperwork. It took an additional hour to get discharged. By the time we left the hospital the pharmacy was already closed so when I went the next morning one of the meds was a tablet...my son is 2 and I don't know if he can swallow the tablet whole and the instructions were a bit confusing I tried to clarify with the pharmacist on how and when too give the meds but she did not seem confident in her answer. So I decided to try to get a hold of the doctor to just verify how to give medication. When I first called the nurse said he would be in later that day and to call back. So I called back and the nurse that answered said he wasn't in today. I told her I called earlier and was told otherwise and was then put on hold and currently on hold for an hour and a half. Oh and I wouldn't bring my young kid here anymore anyways. If he had needed to be admitted St. MARYS does not have a pediatric unit. They would have needed to transfer him all the way to loma Linda. If I knew that I would've Just cut the middle man out and gone straight there instead.

I used to feel like this provider genuinely cared about my health and concerns, but unfortunately that has changed. My concerns now seem to be dismissed or explained away instead of being taken seriously. After receiving my test results, I was told what was wrong and prescribed a different medication, but getting any follow-up care has been extremely frustrating. Calling the office is nearly impossible--messages are rarely returned, and prescription refills are consistently delayed. My pharmacy has sent multiple refill requests, and after more than a week, there has still been no response. The lack of communication and timely patient care has been very disappointing. At this point, I've had better luck getting help at urgent care than through this office.
