The MA here are unprofessional, lazy and rude. If you try to get ahold of this office they will pick up only hang up on u. Their excuse is they accidentally hang up instead of putting on hold. They will leave you on hold and never pick up. call back and they would pick up and hang up. Despite the unprofessionalism I remained calm and let them know what was going on for her to only explain and laugh and hang up. I work for a medical profession, as far as the poor reviews left to the facility i can understand frustration and how upsetting it can be to have to wait a period of time, but I understand also the pressure of the Staff as well. People please keep in mind that is an Urgent Care therefore it is a walk in clinic where all primary offices refer there patient too, do to no availability. Now the amount of calls and the volume of patients that this place has to register, I can totally understand the wait /hold on the calls and the 2 hr wait time to be seen, to only an amount of staff on the floor. People keep in mind the we live in the high desert, where primary's are booked out 3 months, the desert is small, society is growing. People with poor reviews your disturbing. read more

Was seen really fast by Dr Jose de la Llana, and I couldn't have been happier with him. He resolved my issue with the right medication, and I am grateful that I chose this urgent care location. I had seen some great google reviews and followed their lead. The office is somewhat hidden as it sits in a shopping center across from Vons Store but behind that big box Louisiana Cajun Restaurant. I wish I could give this place 0 stars! Tonight my 3 year old cousin fell and got a gash on her face, they close at 8:00 pm and my uncle was there around 7:40. The doctor told my uncle just to head to the ER because he was to tired and him and his staff were ready to go home. He looked at them and said "I don't know what you expect me to do". As a doctor it is their job to help people no matter how "tired" they are! Maybe if they got there at 7:59 I could understand but he wouldn't even look at her 20 minutes prior to closing! I wish we could have got the doctors name! All complaints to the proper administrators will be made after this holiday weekend. Please beware when bringing your children and family here. read more

Can't say enough for the staff and the doctor. My first time was around feb. 2018 and was seen in 30 min. Dr. Jose is wonderful. Second time even better was seen a lil later 36 min wait time lol and same professional care. Dr. Jose hears you and doesn't rush you out. He gives you remedy's to your problems and actually asks you questions and gives you answers. I had doctors that would just throw meds to help with my migraines but Dr. Jose recommended things to do to help ease them and did not throw meds at me. Used to dread seeing doctors but I actually enjoy this doctor because he actually listens to me. Don't forget the staff, polite, sweet and they don't mess around. First time coming and it was surprisingly quick. After spending an hour down the street at the St Marys Urgent Care to be told they dont take straight MediCal i am glad i was referred here. In all i believe i only spent 20 min waiting. Dr Debebe was nice and polite listened to my concerns and i felt he prescribed exactly what i needed. His staff was also very nice. And within the hour i was already at the pharmacy to get my RX. Overall very happy and content will defiantly start using this facility over other ones. Side Note: per a review i read as of 1/9/18 i did see they had a box of masks / tissue / and hand sanitizer available by the receptionist window. read more

I just had to take a moment to thank Dr. de la Llana and the Bear Valley Urgent Care staff. I had the unfortunate experience of my stainless steel microwave door hitting directly into my eye. After my initial shock and trauma to my eye, the pain was not subsiding and I had to go to urgent care. The wait was about 30 minutes, service was friendly and efficient, and Dr. de la Llana had the BEST bedside manner. He was friendly, upbeat (totally caught me off guard being it was urgent care) and a conversant. I did not feel like a number but like he was my personal doctor. The prescription has my eye healing and I could not be happier. Dr. de la Llana is a gem up here in the high desert and I highly recommend him and the staff at Bear Valley Urgent Care. I was there in the morning (Jan. 2019) & the check-in & wait time were not so bad . The place looked pretty clean , it was very quiet and the receptionist was fast. I waited about 30 mins before I was greeted by the medical assistant . She was very straight forward, and wasted no time asking why I was there etc., which is more than okay with me because I'm not there to see her. Especially in pain(ear infection). She took me to another room, after vitals were taken, and I was then greeted by a female dr(don't remember her name). Dr was very unprofessional, rude , and very hard to have a conversation with. She literally assessed, diagnosed, and prescribed medication in less than 5 mins! Which normally, I wouldn't care as long as the dr diagnosed me from asking for signs and symptoms or as little as asking me questions of my problem as a patient in need . Once she was done, only thing she told me was she would have my prescription sent to my pharmacy and literally walked out . No goodbye, no "have a nice day", no "let yourself out", no nothing. I couldn't believe how rude she was. To top it off, they sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy! I guess that's what happens when you don't know how to communicate with your patients. read more

Lets put it this way. When you go to a restaurant before closing they tell you our kitchen is close. This urgent care timing says open till 8:00PM but they do not take any walk-ins after 7:30PM. Why don't you change the timing to 7:30PM so who ever is sick won't waste their time to go there after 7:30PM. I brought my daughter in on 3/1/18 because she had been having a severe headache for 3 days straight. The heavy set woman, i think she was a PA was useless. She stated that she couldn't do anything for her because she wadn't her primary care physician. All she told me was to give her tylenol. I stated to her several times that i had already given her tylenol and it was not helping but she insisted. It was a complete wadte of time and money as i know they will bill my insurance for nothing. I ended up taking her to the Urgent care a block up and they diagnosed her with migrains and treated her with pain meds (that actually worked) and sent her for a head ct just to make sure all was well. I was trying to avoid the ER which is why i took her to an urgent care to begin with. Not sure why this place is an "urgent care" if they are not able to treat the patients appropriately. read more

Horrible! Very unprofessional! I really wanted to like this urgent care. First of all child had a back injury and needed xrays. More then 24 hrs have gone by and all they tell me is that they haven't received results. So still don't know if my child has a broken back. I called victor valley advanced imaging. They told me results were indeed sent. The day before. So the only way I can get an answer at this point is by going to the imaging place myself . Also According to my insurance company I was double charged for my deductible They did give me a refund but acted a bit suspicious.. glad I called insurance company to verify. also the nurse practitioner was very unprofessional as well, she came in the room and asked my teenage daughter what happened and said ok take your shirt off! It's not like I have X-ray vision! And just stood there and watched my daughter take her shirt off. It was extremely uncomfortable. In a professional setting she would have been given a paper gown or something!! And a provider should never just stand there while you take any of your clothes off. Wish we had a better urgent care in our network. Next time I will forsure pay more to go somewhere out of network. read more

Went there due to the flu. Waited an hour to be seen while they verified my insurance, Paid my co-pay. Spent less then 11 mins with Phy Assistance. Got two meds prescribed. Thought everything was not out of the ordinary until 6 mos later when I get a bill for $188.00 from the clinic. What is alarming is that they tried to bill my insurance over $900 for this 11 min visit with a PA. More alarming I gave the flu to my girl and brought her to the same clinic, saw the same PA, spent the same 11mins, got the same meds, and she had no insurance we paid less then $200. THIS IS THE REASON OUR HEATHCARE IS IN THE TOILET. FRAUD!!! read more
