It was my first time getting a massage from... a professional, I guess? And wow it was so amazing. My therapist was Vaia, and I think his was Brittany. They were both so nice, and after telling Vaia I had never had a real massage before she was understanding (I felt pretty lame going into such a fancy place not knowing what I'm doing or getting into) and nice and was asking me what kind of pressure I like and I said I didn't know, and she just said we'll see what happens and I could feel free to let her know what I needed and wanted, and what areas I want her to focus on, etc. I ended up just not even saying anything during the massage because it was just perfect all around! I knew about the lounge going in, and it's so relaxing. With the escape package we got some champagne and chocolates and got the whole "oasis club" area to ourselves for a whole hour. It's so lovely in there with the infra-red sauna, steam room, nice showers with great products you can try for yourself, and the Himalayan salt room which is my favorite part, and ended up being my husband's favorite too (even though at first he was skeptical and didn't understand what the point of a pit full of salt was)... Overall it was a really easy and nice experience scheduling and everything. It was such a lovely time. For my first spa experience I'm really really pleasantly surprised because I assumed it was going to be awkward! It was very relaxing. Definitely will get us another Christmas spa night next year (if not sooner...)!

We had been discussing throughout the massage that my knee is injured (Torn meniscus, arthritis, no cartilage) and that I couldn't fully straighten it without discomfort. At the very end, after she wrapped my feet in warm towels, she grabbed my leg and pulled ( traction) and it really hurt. I yelped out loud. She just sort of left the room. It completely ruined the massage, because now my knee was hurting. I said something to her once I came out of the room and she was there to greet me. I told her that she probably didn't mean to hurt me, but she did. No apology, she just told me to "take care" and hurried off. I'm a long time massage therapist and I would never have treated a client that way. Very disappointing to pay all that $$ and leave upset. I really enjoy the wellness lounge, though. That was the best part of the experience.

Most aerobic machines come with a TV on it and there are also a couple of flat screens mounted around the bottom floor. On the second floor (more of a loft) you will find the spin bikes and a rower as well as a few other pieces of equipment. They do a couple of classes here that are included in the membership - spin, boot camp, and yoga - most of which are early in the morning (think 5:30 or 6:15 am). There are 3 spacious bathrooms, all of which have showers and one of which includes a sauna. The free weight area is smallish but has all of the equipment you need to get a god workout. My only real complaints about the gym is about the music. They have today hit's (i.e. to same 15 songs) blasting at all hours of the day, which makes it hard if you didn't bring your headphone and don't like Katy Perry, Kanye West, or Bruno Mars. Even if you do have headphones, you probably won't be able to hear whatever you were hoping to because it's pretty loud. Other than that, it would be nice if there were so more class options for those of us that can't bare the thought of getting out of bed at the crack of dawn.

The campground felt more like parking along a dirt road than an actual campground. There was frequent vehicle traffic through the area at different times of day and night, so it did not feel quiet or restful. The bathrooms were very poorly maintained, extremely small, and uncomfortable to use. The shower stalls also did not seem properly cleaned or maintained. If you are only camping, I do not think it is worth the price. There also did not seem to be basic camper amenities. I did not find a communal kitchen, and even getting drinking water was inconvenient. The water fountains were difficult to use. Overall, the property felt neglected and under-maintained. The pool and soaking areas were also disappointing. The pools looked grimy, and the "silence" signs were not respected during my stay. Every time I used the hot pool area, people were talking loudly. The dry sauna was fine, but not special enough to justify coming here; it felt similar to a basic gym sauna. The wet sauna was also not worth the trip by itself. I also had concerns about safety and management. On one very hot day, a dog was left tied outside near a tent for a long period while barking, and other campers had to help care for it. I did not see management respond, even though staff appeared to be driving around the property. On the morning I left, another guest behaved aggressively toward me near my van, which made me feel unsafe. The front desk seemed mainly focused on payment and access control, not on guest comfort, cleanliness, or safety. As a non-white guest, I also felt uncomfortable and out of place here, and I did not feel that management was attentive enough to create a safe environment. This place may appeal to some locals or repeat visitors, but based on my experience, it was dirty, poorly maintained, uncomfortable, and not worth the price. I would not return and would strongly recommend checking the property carefully before booking online. DEFINITELY NOT FAMILY-FRIENDLY.

As much as I have been to deeply healing and naturally geothermic hot springs, I still enjoy a visit to Jackson Wellsprings every month or so. I live remotely and they offer a Tuesday night dance/soak experience that is really quite lovely. Sometimes the DJs are actually bad and I don't do the dance, I'll listen for about 20 mins before paying to enter. Sometimes the DJs are litty. The facilities are clearly 60+ years old and maintained to the absolute bare minimum, or so it appears. It doesn't seem like much deep cleaning/renovation goes on with bleach or other cleaning probably due to some eco friendly initiative to justify saving money and the planet all at once, yet the human experience is degraded. Standards differ in everyone. Sauna is nice. Steam room is nice. Big pool is nice and cool. Hot tub is often filled and relatively hot. Granted for the price of $15/4 hour session... it's now dependent on your fear of humans and the potential for their dirty to impact your experience. I'm a pretty reasonable person and still have desired standards to be met, hence this review and still attending despite a more degraded facility than one would want from a place designed for healing.
