Fred is gone and the Meroke will never be the same. Brought car in at 10:30 and told would be ready at 4-5. Called at 3:30 to find out they hadn't even looked at my car. Told me they were busy and claimed they never told me car would be ready today. Told me to come get my car if I wasn't happy. Guess they never heard that the customer is always right. Meroke customer over twenty years and will never return. The owner called the next morning with a sincere apology but I've found a new mechanic in the area. read more

BEWARE! This shop is no longer owned by Fred and that makes all of the difference. Not only that, but the new owner appears to be hiding that fact. I brought a car in and was surprised at how quiet the usually bustling shop was. Ellen was not at the desk and an unfamiliar face greeted me. I asked to talk to Fred and they said he would 'be in later.' I later found out the shop had been sold. They misdiagnosed a problem, did an unnecessary oil change without first letting me know they were going to do that. What a shame! Joe explained everything we needed clearly & even made a quick fix to my hanging bumper so that I wouldn't cause more damage, giving me a few weeks to decide when to come in for the big fix. Brought car in for oil change, new brakes, tires, and an inspection. Car passed inspection, however it was returned with multiple lights on the dashboard including ABS system error light, traction control error light, and tired pressure sensor light. Car was brought in with no lights on dashboard and passed inspection, so ABS light and traction control light errors were obviously caused by repair shop. They offered to fix the issue for additional charge. Would not recommend. read more

I own three cars and they are all serviced there. He has done extensive engine work on my Ford Van as well as fixed my Toyota when I had a substantial accident.
