Very disappointed that this business will not stand behind the plants they sell. I think most people would expect plants they paid a premium price for to survive at least six months. Both plants I purchased died in short order. When I inquired about a store credit I was basically told too bad, but would you like to buy something else. read more

We moved to Burnsville and wanted to get some plants for around the house. Came here on a busy, hot Saturday. Everyone was so nice and helpful - excellent customer service. The lady helping us with picking out some decorative grass was totally awesome and really took the time to help us find exactly what we were looking for and gave us lots of good choices and ideas. Went to Reems Creek Nursery with a photo of my house and got help picking a rhododendrum for the front porch area. The mature size is going to be perfect, and it's already loaded with buds for spring blooms. Best of all, I got advice and material for amending the soil, and advice on picking the spot and planting the bush. It's been raining lots, and there is no root root. The plant is thriving! Can't wait to buy more plants there. read more

I decided to return to Reems Creek Nursery this Spring, again looking for a specific plant. This time, my experience was much better than my original visit. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The plant I was looking for was in stock and the woman helping me led me right to it. They still have nice plants and are still priced higher than some other local plant purveyors, however their service has greatly improved over last year. Spectacular! It took a while to get on their calendar but the time we waited was worth it. Landscape designer Kathrine Carter is a jewel. We hired Reems Creek to re-landscape the entire property. In addition, they designed and built a dramatic dry creek bed as a solution to a drainage problem. From the start, Kathrine understood what we were looking for and her landscape design was spot-on. She offered a calm and insightful presence throughout the entire project. She and her staff were a joy to work with! They're not cheap but we wanted the reliability of an established company. As luck would have it, a mishap occurred that resulted in damage to the garage door. Within an hour both owners of Reems Creek were at our property, insurance was contacted, and we now have a new garage door to go with our lovely new landscaping. The peace of mind of working with such a wonderful company was worth every penny. read more

The BEST place for houseplants in the Asheville area. I'm a big houseplant junkie, and I could literally live in their tropical room. Every time I go I always find something I wasn't expecting to find in this area. I think the prices are very reasonable compared to what I've seen some of the plants go for elsewhere. The staff is super knowledgeable. I asked an employee about a plant I have that isn't doing too great and if they had any recommendations, and he was super knowledgeable. He even told me if the issue doesn't improve to bring a dying leaf to them and they'd look at it under the microscope to try to figure it out! It wasn't even a plant I purchased from them (although I have purchased many from them since the purchase of said plant). Every single visit the staff have gone out of their way to be kind and helpful. I also love that they have a rewards program so you can get money back to use the next time! I can't recommend this place enough. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I have purchased flowers for pots on my deck for several years from Reems Creek and have always been pleased. This year we have had extensive tree and dirt work done on our property and are in need of a total landscape redo so I called Reems Creek for guidance and a possible plan of attack for foundation plantings, sun and shade gardens, the whole big picture. Two landscape designers have come to my house on April 22 and again on May 6 (after a final grading was done). The first visit was rewarded with a plant list on a spread sheet and a price list. That's all. The second visit was rather brisk and I explained that I was interested in a design and was quoted a price of $50 per hour for the design work. I was very interested in a plan and expressed this to the designer. I called on May 20 to see if anything had been done about a plan or plant ideas. As of May 25 have not heard a word from Reems Creek Nursery and Design. I do like their location and selection of flowers (especially if you already know what you are looking for and where it is located). I have gone elsewhere for help with plant selections for my yard and a landscape design. read more
