Unfortunately, I had an accident in my driveway, while climbing into the cab of the insurance company provided tow truck. Fell up the metal grate steps and gashed my leg. It seemed like a minor scrape, so we continued to Mike's. The damage was a bit worse than a mere scrape, so I asked Mandy, Mike's office person, if she had a bandaid. She took one look and got out the big first aid kit. She cleaned and bandaged the wound and urged me to visit urgent care on my way home. That is service far above the expected, and just shows the caliber of people associated with Mike Smith Firestone. Mike has even fit in emergency service on the car of a friend who was visiting from another state, making her car safe to drive home. Many years ago my car was leaking oil in the parking lot at work after an early morning oil change. Mike himself drove to my place of work and fixed it on the spot. Since Steve sold the business a year or more ago, I was a little apprehensive to say the least because the service had been exceptional. Steve assured me I would get the same service from Nate, the new owner. There's been a huge turnover in the last year due to retirements, health issues etc. However, I still take my vehicles there because the service hasn't changed. Just as promised. The main replacement personnel are just as good or better. Honestly, integrity found there. They warrant their work! The two negative 1 Star reviews should be ignored. There must have been some miscommunication going on there in both those cases.

Then I was charges $500 for a battery because they spent hours "diagnosing" the car rather than just calling me to say "Your car is working fine with just a battery but we can spend hours diagnosing everything single thing so you can pay us more if you want." He pushed the adjustment too far in the other direction. Terrible work! I'm not going back Kavanaugh's and give them any reasons to rip me off again. I can live without low gear. This work should have cost about $200. Today, I got my truck back from Shuffitt's Auto Repair down on Preston Hwy. It needed a new starter solenoid.
