I will not use Reece any longer. History of mechanics not knowing how to fix an issue, extremely overpriced, trying to return vehicle with problem not resolved, getting vehicle back with additional problems that were not there prior to their "service." And similar to other reviews, getting treated like I'm crazy, it's not their fault, they did not cause additional issues, etc etc. Do not recommend and will not be using any longer. And I live in the neighborhood. Hate to have to go somewhere else that is inconvenient but can't stand the treatment from this shop any longer. And the drain it puts on my bank account with any small problem. Just bite the bullet and take your car to the dealer. At least it will get fixed correctly. read more

I was volunteering in the area and when I came out to get in my car I had a flat tire. One of the other volunteers lives near where we were and recommended Reece. I was able to put enough air in my tire to get me the one mile to Reece's. I left my car and headed across the street to the coffee shop. By the time I had drank my coffee and ate a biscuit they called and had my tire fixed. It had screw in it so they had to plug it. took about an hour and the charge was about $25. So a bit expensive for a tire plug but I suppose that is the going price these days. Service was quick and after a week tire is holding. So I would recommend. read more

Subaru rear wheel bearings, that is all. But seriously, I started this project on my gf's 2016 Subaru Outback car in the garage and could not get them to budge. So I put everything back together and took it to Reece. Already had the parts because I planned on doing it myself and they used them, just let me know they wouldn't warranty the parts which is fair. Dropped it off Sunday when closed, got a call at 8:15am Monday (requested a call to give the mechanic a run down) got a call around 2pm letting me know the car was done. Had them replace the calipers, brakes and rotors too. Ended up being about 8 hours in labor or so but the labor rate is affordable. I plan on taking my 2006 Avalon down to have them do the suspension on all four corners. I've got the parts in the garage because I planned on doing it, but, I had such a pleasant experience, I think I'll just take it down there. Mike the owner was nice too, that's who I interacted with when I first called. On Friday to ask if I could just drop it off over the weekend. Local, fast, fair, and good customer service. We were very happy with the service by Reece. We are from Michigan, on our way to Louisville to visit our son we had problems with our suburban. We just had it in a shop in Michigan and the problem was supposedly fixed by a shop in Michigan before we left. On Saturday, halfway between Michigan and Kentucky, we started having problems. My son knows the owner of Reece from church so he called him, he helped us by evaluating the situation over the phone and kept tabs on us all the way to Louisville. We got the suburban to his shop where he looked at it first thing Monday morning. The problem was what he thought it was. Within a few hours it was fixed for a reasonable price and we were on the road back to Michigan. The suburban runs great now. I am very appreciative of all their help, their ability to look at it so quickly and fix it for a reasonable price. It could have been a very expensive trip for us but it wasn't so thank you! read more

I had a small oil leak and my husband's car engine light had turned on and we took both our cars to Reece's because it was the closest place to our house. You can tell the place is close knit and run small. They took great care of our car making sure to look at everything besides what we came in for. I felt like their prices were very fair and they did a thorough job. They did take a while but it was a very busy day and they let us know ahead of time it would be a long wait. Fun note: they have a giant aloe plant in the window and lots of baby aloe plants from the big one and if you ask about it they will literally give you a baby aloe plant! So I might have had to pay for my car to get fixed but at least I got an aloe plant! Pro tip: this place is right next to my FAVORITE coffee shop so if you go here you can just walk across the road and hang out at Sunergos while you wait. Pretty awesome set up. read more

call the shop to diagnose and maybe repair in AC system on an import vehicle spoke to them twice about bringing it in when I got there one mechanic was extremely negative said they do not work on that particular import only Asian imports, and I should've spoke to the person who works on the vehicles instead of the person at the desk who knew I should've left at that moment, but the AC mechanic said that he would check it out and let me know. They told me it was leaking inside the car and that they would not work on it because the last time they worked on that particular import. It was very difficult and charge me 270 to tell me it was leaking inside my car there sign clearly says domestic and import auto repair. They should change that to some imports. I bought my car in here after a check engine light went on. They told me what the problem was, told me the price and said they fixed it. I drove 10 min away and the light came back on again. They looked at it again and said "the oil just needed to burn off the sensor". When I signed up for my appointment, they took my address. When I dropped off my car a day early I said I was concerned because I was driving back to KC the next day. They knew they were sending my on over a 500 mile journey back home solo. My car broke down halfway home at 11pm. I called when I finally made it home and not only did Mike not believe it was me- maybe as a self defense tool (which added immensely to the frustration) he could not give less of a care and literally laughed over the phone as I was telling him what happened. This place has no morals, character or concern for their customers safety. I paid $477 for a job half done. My car was not fixed, I did not make it home safely, Mike refuses to admit and acknowledge it and I paid money for a job not done. If they did not know what was wrong I would hope someone with less arrogance would admit it and send me to another mechanic instead of risking my safety and their ego. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That was my review a year ago. I had completely moved on from this experience until I received a response to my Google review two days ago. It would seem that while Mike likes to bully negative reviewers on that platform about "communicating with management first" it was my firm and terrible experience that in doing so, just leaves you feeling as if you had an argument with a toddler. It's one thing to emphasize proper communication, but quite another to neglect addressing the concerns brought forward. He states in the response, "I chose not to reply for over a year to calm down"- it seems, that he needed much longer and maybe some time looking inward than just calming down. He admits to laughing at me over the phone, he admits the check engine light did come on again. He made assumptions, presuming that I hadn't checked my car before a road trip. These assumptions, coupled with proof of a horrible demeanor, were presented, still, without an apology. When I reviewed his responses to other customers, it became abundantly clear that he lacks the integrity of accountability. Unfortunately, this deficiency in accountability shines through in his business practices, as evidenced by my own experience. I had hoped that things might have changed in a year, but judging from his agitated and erratic review response, it's evident that change will never come. read more

They have warned me of costly repairs that are imminent but that can wait a few months to save me some money, and they have shopped around for less expensive used parts for me when it would save me a lot. I first came here last fall, totally frustrated about something that was happening with my car that had supposedly been fixed at another shop with my brakes and wasn't. I had called around to three places after reading reviews on Yelp, and Reece was the only place that could get me in that day. Everywhere else was going to be at least 2-3 days, and it was my only day off. They ended up figuring out what it was, and told me there was a chance it could be a more costly repair (it was still pricey but not nearly what it could have been), and that I should watch it for the next few months to check. Now it's been 10 months, and my car is still running fine. I took it in today because my AC wasn't cooling, and they got me in and out in two hours, recharging my AC, loading me up with freon, oil change, checking fluids and filters, new wiper blades, all for about $200. Which reminds me! When I went in last year, I'd been driving my car for an entire year convinced that I was going to have to get my windshield knocked out and have a new one put in to be able to use the wipers. I'd gotten it replaced the year before (because it had a huge crack) just before a storm and hadn't been able to leave the windows down like they say to make sure it settles correctly and that the blades stay flush. So every time it rained there was a huge swath of my windshield that would stay obscured and was a real danger while driving. The guys at Reece didn't think that was the problem, but when they put the new blades on, they saw I was right. Then one of the guys had an idea. He unscrewed a little piece from the base of the blades that he said was only necessary if you're using Honda brand blades. Then he put the new ones back on, turned them on with the spray, and voila. Totally smooth, clear vision. And to think I was ready to bust out my windshield. They didn't even charge me for the blades that time. Import Doktor is way closer to where I live, but I'll keep going to Reece because I've been super impressed with the service. read more

Reece's is reliable, quick, and affordable. I had a 60,000 mile check up on my Honda CR-V. At the Honda dealership it would have cost well over $600. At Reece's I paid a little over $400. The best part, they explained each procedure, if/why it was necessary, and offered additional maintenance tips I could do at home to save money. read more
