We are so grateful for Merryhill! My 2-year-old enrolled in January, about a week after the branch opened. We have been impressed with the quality of teaching and communication here. A few highlights: -The curriculum is excellent. My husband and I are both educators, so we looked for a curriculum that included core academic skills (math, science, literacy) as well as social-emotional skills. Merryhill has a play-based curriculum that has this and more. We love that our son engages in science experiments, learns Spanish vocabulary, and even has physical education. There are also opportunities to sign kids up for additional activities that occur during the day, like soccer or karate or dance. -Communication is frequent, professional, and personal. I get daily pictures with notes about what my child is doing (great conversation starters later) along with a daily report. I can also send notes or attendance information through the app. At our recent parent conference, the teacher was prepared with reports as well as ideas for how we can reinforce/enrich our son's learning at home. What's more, the teacher AND administrative staff AND teachers from other classes touch base with me every day. Merryhill really operates with the philosophy that every adult has a stake in raising the children there. -The physical space is safe, bright, and fun. The multipurpose room is amazing. Multiple outdoor play areas are great for the different age groups. Meals are balanced and quality. The whole building is clean and well-maintained. -Merryhill engages families. We loved participating in the ladybug release party for Earth Day and Muffins with Mom for Mother's Day. There are events throughout the year that bring everyone together. -You get what you pay for, and what you pay for is quality. Childcare can be expensive, but Merryhill is reasonably priced and worth every penny. I am so glad we found Merryhill, and I can't wait to enroll my younger child this fall. When moving to Aurora last year, we called 89 daycare centers and in-home providers trying to find the right fit for our daughter. We thought we found the perfect in-home provider, but after several months, we realized this wasn't the case and the stressful search started again. My co-worker was always talking about the wonderful daycare that her son attends, so I asked her for a referral. Her son attends the Merryhill in Parker and as luck may have it, we learned a Merryhill was soon to open in Aurora! We toured Merryhill, along with Goddard and Primrose, and there was no comparison. We are so lucky to have found Merryhill! Our daughter was above average on all social and speech items at her recent 18 month appointment and we owe much of this growth and advancement to the wonderful teachers at Merryhill. I am impressed every day when I read her "report" of what she learned. They have a fantastic App where you receive a daily report with a summary of the curriculum and activities her class completed, photos sent throughout the day, and a list of the foods she ate. While it is hard dropping my daughter off every morning on my way to work, I can't think of a more caring place to leave her. The teachers light up each day when they see her and she rushes over for a hug. Everyone is so friendly and knows her name, even if they aren't one of her teachers. We have found a wonderful school for our daughter and plan to keep her there until she starts Kindergarten. We would recommend anyone in Aurora looking for a daycare to consider Merryhill. I highly recommend Merryhill Preschool to any parent looking for a nurturing and educational environment for their child. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that this is a special place. The staff are warm and welcoming, and they truly care about each and every child in their care. I had my oldest child enrolled across the street from Merryhill and I discovered this place and I never looked back. My daughter went to this school and now my 3 years old is enrolled in this school and he loves it and so do I. The curriculum at Merryhill Preschool is top-notch. They start with circle time, then they jump in to Language & Literacy, Creative Expression, Math, and even Spanish lessons. Which is a bonus. They strike a great balance between play-based learning and more structured activities, ensuring that children are engaged and challenged in a way that is appropriate for their age and development level. The teachers are highly skilled and knowledgeable, and they work hard to create a positive and stimulating learning environment. What I appreciate most about Merryhill Preschool is the sense of community that they foster. They encourage parents to be involved in their child's education, and they provide regular updates and feedback on their progress. They also organize fun events and activities that bring families together, such as holiday parties and picnics Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of Merryhill Preschool. Merryhill has been a great addition to our family's routine. We were nervous about having to send our daughter to school at the age of 3 months, but when we walked into the classroom on day two she immediately lit up and celebrated, happy to be back. The teachers genuinely care for her and her well being. They provide good feedback and suggestions. We love getting the photos or videos throughput the day and seeing her interact with the other kids. She gets so much more from Merryhill than an in home nanny could give her. She is now five months and getting so strong; it's obvious that she is doing her tummy time and they help her practice sitting up. And who knew a baby could make such fun art! It's very fun to bring home her paintings. We are looking forward to participating in the Merryhill curriculum for next several years. Let me start by saying that I've been with this specific Merryhill Preschool for almost two years and for me, that's saying a lot. After losing my children's mother, I became extremely particular about who I trust to spend time with my kids. I cannot express enough how confident I am that choosing this school was absolutely the right decision. The level of heartfelt care, professionalism, and security here is incredible. Every day, I know my children are safe, loved, and learning. Every teacher they've had has been not only kind and nurturing, but also genuinely dedicated to helping them grow and thrive. The director, Ms. Tsukiko, has been both wonderfully personable and deeply professional she runs the school with compassion and excellence. My older son started here at age 2 and is now 4.5. We have loved every one of his teachers! I have no doubt that he will be ready for Kindergarten next year. My younger son started at 2 months. Heather and Teresa in the infant room are amazing!! They made the transition back to work so much easier on me. My son had a horrible time transitioning to a bottle...but Heather knew just how to handle it. He is now 2 and loves school. You can tell he has so much fun everyday. I also love getting photos and videos of the kids throughout the day. It makes me so happy to see what they are doing through out the day. I want to give all the teachers at Merryhill a shout out because they spend more time during the week with my kids then me and are so important in the growth and development of my kiddos. We can't say enough good things about Merryhill. Our 1 year old daughter comes home learning something new every day. The school is bright, airy, and open with large classrooms and great equipment. The curriculum is great and fosters an early connection between fun and learning. They are always doing something new from sensory tables and water play, to crafts, and reading. The thing that really makes Merryhill the best is the staff. I can't say enough about the teachers and staff at Merryhill. Our daughter lights up on seeing her teachers every morning. All of the staff knows my daughter and us even if they don't teach her class. Everyone from the wonderful cook through to the administration really cares about the children and I feel absolutely secure in leaving my daughter in their care to laugh and learn. read more

My daughter has been going here since March. This is by far the best choice school for her. All the staff are friendly and know each kid. Their app allows me to see what she is learning each day and what her activities are. The school is very clean. I like the environment because it's fun but still like a school. The price is perfect. I feel like I'm paying for a school that makes learning fun for the kids, rather than a glorified daycare like other facilities. read more

This is an awesome school. My grandson started recently in Ms Sharon's class. He has excellent teachers helping him to settle in and he loves his class environment. School has a great curriculum that caters for all ages. Teachers are friendly, caring and very helpful. We couldn't choose a better school for him.
