The price was $11.99 At the time of purchase I informed the sales person of my dog's breed, and age. I also mentioned that I wanted a "toy" that would be tuff, strong and most of all safe for her to play with. I was directed by the sales person to the afore mentioned toy. With her assurance that it would be perfect for my dog, thereby I purchased it for her. It must be stated that the reason I shopped at this "Premium Price Pet Store" is the perception that they are selling only "pet friendly" products and not the random, off shore products found at the larger chain stores. Unfortunately, in my case, that is only an illusion. Within less then 10 minutes my 10 month old Caviler had ripped a hole in the toy, had the Jute Fiber stuffing pulled out and the plastic squeaky insert in her mouth, which I had to pry from mouth to keep her from choking on! If I had not noticed this I have no doubt she would have been in serious trouble. I have NEVER seen a dog toy come apart so quickly! Yes. I know, there is a disclaimer on the back of the package that this is not a "toy." If not a toy, what is it, a wall hanging? I took the product back to the Pet Store, along with my receipt the next day. What occurred then only added insult to injury. I explained to the women behind the counter (owner?) what had happened. In what can only be described as an arrogant and insulting manner I was left with the impression that it was my fault for buying this item, and my dogs for putting it into her mouth! OMG! Whereby she informed me it was not their responsibility that I purchased this product! AT THE VERY LEAST; she should have said "I am very sorry this happened, can I give you a full refund, or help you pick out a more durable replacement?" That's called marketing 101 or "customer service." Which the "Whats In My Bowl Pet Shop," seems to have no knowledge of? I will take my business elsewhere, and encourage everyone I know to do the same. I am posting this review in hopes of keeping anyone else from making this kind of purchase and having more dire outcomes with their beloved pet.

He loves plush toys (he's missing most of his teeth) that have a larger plush component and then inside there are smaller plush's they can pull out. I purchased this "premium" one that had 3 birds in a "birdhouse" (or a grass hut?) for him. The next day I gave it to him and within minutes I noticed a plastic piece on the ground and saw that the bird he had in his mouth had a hole in it. I immediately sent a message to WITB because I couldn't believe I spent $25 on a toy there and plastic was coming out. Today I got a message back from someone there. I was really ticked by the message (included). It came across as a "too bad, so sad" reply. How am I supposed to know what your policy is? I've been there one time. It could've been worded much differently even without a refund. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be back.

When we took a tour of Skydance in Douseman, I knew they were genuinely compassionate and kind people. They answered all my questions and the facilities were clean, spacious, and comfortable. I felt like it was a home away from home in a beautiful setting in the kettle moraine forest. When I dropped my boy off for his 9 day stay, I was greeted with kindness and they were very thorough to make sure they had all the information they needed to make his stay comfy. The caregivers were so sweet and patient with me every time I called to check in with them. I found it very comforting to know the caregivers are well educated and trained in CPR. They are also very diligent to appropriately match dogs together for play time so they are with personalities and sizes that are safe. I highly recommend this incredible place to anyone looking for great care for their furry family member. They go above and beyond and treated my dog as a member of their family. I am so grateful.

Do not bring your dogs to the Dousman facility! We have a 2 year old French bulldog and a 10 year…read moreold French bulldog and had 2 negative experiences with this boarding facility. We boarded our dogs there for a week in June and they were supposed to receive a bath before pick up. The boarding facility sent them home with both of their backsides covered in diarrhea. I questioned bringing them back, but decided to give it another shot, which was a terrible mistake. We recently boarded them both for a week (total bill over $1000) and I let the staff know that both dogs have some level of anxiety about boarding at drop off. Again, we asked for the bath, nail trim as part of the boarding package. My 20 year old daughter picked up the dogs and upon bringing them home, she called to tell me our 10 year old had a dramatic limp and was not willing to move or get out of bed. Upon further inspection, we noticed that he had licked his front paws raw and his nails appeared to be clipped down to quick. None of this was communicated at pick up. His feet were so bad he refused to walk and I had to take him to the vet. I called the Dousman facility and was transferred to the manager and explained the situation to her through tears. How did they not notice this throughout the week? She said she was going to discuss with staff and their director would be in touch to remedy the situation. That was 3 days ago and I haven't heard anything. This place is advertised as an upscale crate free facility, but obviously they are not taking care of the dogs as advertised. Do not trust this place with your dogs.
