Movers were communicative and did a great job unloading from storage containers into the apartment. However, the service falsely said that they would help with unpacking, but the movers said they were not authorized to do so. As a result, I paid for 4 hours (their minimum), but they were done in 2. They also don't pick up the packaging (wrap, blankets, etc.), which is unusual compared to prior moves. All in all, the movers themselves are great, but their organizational staff has issues. read more

I had Mesa Moving come out to do a pack and load move of my apartment on 11/22 prior to my relocation to Seattle. I thought they did a great job - they were very friendly and took care of my things. However, upon unboxing my belongings on arrival, I noticed they stole a number of valuable and very sentimental items from me. They stole 13 oz of silver from me (10 1oz bars in a sheet and three silver coins) and my grandmothers gold chain and two gold pendants which she wore all her life and left to me (To add insult to injury, I had actually just gotten married a week or two before and was planning to gift them to my now wife for Christmas). They were stolen out of a closed cigar box on my bookshelf. Three gentleman were over helping me move: Mike M, Mike T, and Khalil. I believe it was Mike T (the white guy) who stole the items as he was in that corner of the house packing up those items. He was even commenting on my things and was making small talk with me. I tipped them all generously and gave them a fridge full of beer to take home with them as well. It really hurts to know that they could be so friendly outwardly while lying to your face and stealing your belongings. It is my hope that this review prompts them to return my items. I will delete this review if they do. To be fair to the company, I have entered a claim with Mesa Moving and they are evaluating it.. we'll see how that goes. They have been responsive and said they'd be willing to work with the police but don't seem to have the same urgency I do to get my belongings back. The necklace and pendants cannot be adequately replaced and have a lot of sentimental value to me. Perhaps, and hopefully, they are working behind the scenes to track them down. One of the loaders asked to use microwave to heat up his lunch. We recently sold our house, so the appliances are spotless in anticipation of the upcoming buyer walkthrough. I said "sure, just use paper towels under and on top so you don't make any mess please." Much later when getting ready to warm up dinner for my 3-year old I opened the microwave to discover the GROSSEST MESS -- cheese was literally everywhere: the door, the sides, the top of the microwave inside -- that he made and didn't even bother telling me! It was horrible! Needless to say I am really concerned about our belongings... I would have NEVER used a business that is barely past 3 stars, but this was an urgent corporate move and we had no say in the choice of packing and loading provider. James seemed to be the crew leader -- he has a braid -- and clearly had zero control over his people. read more

I'm posting the following review on behalf of my mother who was a client of Mesa Moving and Storage wants to warn others of her horrible recent experience: My belongings were loaded on June 14, 2022 for a move from Colorado to North Carolina by the most unprofessional company with the nastiest people I ever in my 70 years and half a dozen moves ever had the misfortune to encounter. Although I contracted with Mesa Moving & Storage, a United Van Lines agent, unbeknownst to me they subcontracted my move to Christina Garcia who told me she was the owner of Diamond Moving. She, her daughter, and a young man who told me he had no moving experience did the loading in Aurora. I have some heavy cherrywood pieces, bedroom set, desk, etc & voiced my concerns about the women's ability to manage these pieces safely. The owner and her daughter were offended by my legitimate concerns and said I was prejudiced because they were women. Later it became I was prejudiced against them for being Hispanic. They were looking for any excuse not to do the job as it was more than they could handle as evidenced when the owner had to call her son to help them. They threatened twice to walk off the job. If I made an observation that a piece of furniture was not adequately covered showing too much wood, they considered that being "disrespectful". When I showed them a small area by the door that was scratched when taking out the couch the owner sarcastically pointed out every imperfection on walls & moldings which was not done by movers but by contractors as I resided in a new building. I had been told by Josh Morton on physical inspection that I would need 3 containers, but after all this drama the owner said I had needed 4. She deliberately misrepresented the need for an additional container for an additional $1,100. When I asked to see how the containers were filled I was told they were already closed. In actuality the originally stated 3 containers were used. On July 11th, I received my severely damaged furniture and discovered that a box had also been lost. My move coordinator was notified immediately that I would be filing a claim. I hope this review gives you pause to think twice before hiring Mesa Moving and Storage as they evidently don't care who they subcontract with just to get the job done and get their money. read more

I worked with Dawn from Mesa's Denver office, and used Mesa through an employer relocation program. Mesa moved my belongings from CA to VA. The move went smoothly on both sides. The movers both in CA and in VA were careful to not damage my apartment floors. And the movers in VA had like 10 people move only about 1800 lb of goods. They laid down floor mats to prevent damage and finished the move in like 15 minutes. Items were well packaged and accounted for. The delivery team in VA also helped to unpack all my things for me, but I asked to unpack myself. They did assemble and arrange my bed and TV for me though. Dawn, the Mesa representative, also followed up often and answered any of my concerns very quickly. I felt taken care of. read more

I don't typically do many reviews. With that said, I felt compelled to review Mesa moving, as I just made a move from Denver, to Santa Monica, CA, which was by far the best experience I've ever had. In the 21 years I've lived in the states, I have moved a total of 16 times. I have to say this moving experience was incredibly smooth, all thanks to the folks at Mesa moving. They came in promptly like clock work and packed up my stuff, just as that crew was done, the next one came in and loaded up the truck. We were all done in a matter of hours. I was impressed at how carefully they packed all of our belongings. Nothing was broken upon arrival in California. I want to give a quick shout out to Heather, who coordinated the crew from the office and Bob and his team who loaded up the truck in Denver. They were all extremely nice and attentive. We recently moved out of state from Colorado. The movers were professional, courteous and swift. The only downside was that when we arrived the guarantee to help "unpack" and setup just means they put the boxes in your home and you do all the unpacking. Wish that was communicated better to us however everything else was 5 star. not a military friendly moving company. initially told me it would take 4 days to move my HHG and it took over three weeks. the weigh tickets all vary in weight, with over 600lbs difference. when reaching out to Freddy, he did not return calls or text, but would request additional paperwork be signed via text. on top of all this, there was damage done to the property and they refused to take ownership resulting in several formal complaints before the company owned the damage. go elsewhere read more

I was moving across the country from Florida to Nevada. I was not able to provide a physical survey and I was grateful that a phone survey was possible. Both of the site leaders were very polite and got in touch with me the day before the move out and move in. They were experienced and were detail oriented with the crew. The crew for both days were very punctual and they packaged everything carefully. The valuables were unharmed. The process itself truly was as stress free as it could have been. So we moved in December about 3 miles from our current home. Started out great, but as the day went on many holes in the contractual obligations from Mesa turned out be lies ie..we can move your sleep number bed, we have experts. Long story short bed was broken when delivered to new home. Almost 2k in damage and unable to sleep on. The deck was scratched from their plank and damaged. More concerning was the fact we were missing several boxes of DVDs and random clothes..weird. It was all handled through insurance but that was December. It's now February and the process was way too long. Beware as we actually chose them bc they were a bit more pricey and well sometimes you should get way you pay for, not this time! read more

But what burns me is how they went about it; the salesguy said one thing and then when they billed me, they did something else. 6 guys came to unload the truck and it was hectic and unorganized. I told Travis who told me not to worry about it. When it came time to unpack, they unloaded wardrobe boxes and instead of hanging the clothes up they threw them on a bed. All my suits are creased and need to be dry cleaned. They "unpacked" boxes and left everything on the floor. They put clean couch cushions on the floor and rested beds on their sweaty heads. One guy who was dripping sat down on our sons chair and ottoman and sweat into the materials. We asked them to leave and we unpacked ourselves, despite having paid for the service. Worst move ever. We are a military family that had a small amount shipped from a secondary location that I stayed at while my husband was deployed. They managed to lose a table top that weighs several hundreds of pounds. We were left with the legs, chairs and a bench. They also lost our king size headboard and mattress. Seems they crated our stuff and maybe misplaced an entire crate. read more

The experience in moving itself was ok, but delivery of stuff takes longer and they no longer have agents available. Super inflexible when coming to delivery or working with a flexible schedule. If its your employer provided assistance, then there is pretty much nothing that can be done. But if you are using this company for your personal moves, go with someone else. read more

Mesa has done 2 moves for me. They moved my family to Utah from Los Angeles and they moved my mother from Utah to Oregon. I have done many moves and they are just as good as my other favorite who operate out of the San Francisco Bay area. Their estimates were accurate and the moves went well. I would not use anyone else. For the one review who was unhappy that they were a day late, stuff happens and they owned up and took care of it. In my horror moves neither happened, they should be happier. Life is not 100% predictable and there is so much horrible customer service out there that people who own up and make amends should be applauded. read more

Update - I've found even more items which are damaged, including our bed frame, and several others which are missing parts. For example - Mesa Moving packed my computer monitor with the cord to connect to a docking station (good), but not the power cord (bad). It's effectively useless. They also dissembled the arms to the lawn mower, which was smart, but seem to have lost the bolts to put it back together. Hey Mesa - customer service tip - send a lawn service over here for the next few weeks until you find those bolts... I'm assuming that at least some of these parts are in the ~20 boxes labeled "garage" which are actually "garage + other random stuff" that we were specifically setting aside. I've been asking Mesa just to send someone to fix what's fixable (we can argue about replacement costs for what's broken later), and help us replace missing bolts and whatchamacallits so that other stuff can work. So far - no dice. After an initial call with Rob Sowinski, their VP of Operations, on moving day I have yet to receive a response from multiple emails and voicemails to him. I've also emailed the CEO Kevin Head, and again - no response. read more

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. This company does not follow through on what they say they will do. Mesa has a partnership with my apartment complex, AMLI, and is listed on our AMLI Perks website where companies in the community who give AMLI residents deals can advertise. Mesa claims on this site that they will bring you moving boxes, tape, and paper if you schedule a free moving estimate, but they did not. When my estimator came to my place, I asked him about the boxes and he said I had to go to some warehouse to get them. I then checked the listing they have with AMLI and it says the Sales Consultant will bring the boxes to you. I specifically mentioned this listing when I made the appointment, so there should have been no surprises that this is what I expected. I then had to speak with the person who I made the appointment with, the Sales Consultant himself, and the manager multiple times about this. They all gave me the run around and offered excuses to try and get out of honoring the advertisement. I told the manager they were baiting and switching people - they had chosen to use giving away moving supplies as a way to get in the door and get business. Not following through on that listing is FALSE ADVERTISING. The manager then told me she would look into it further and call me back. A week later, I have still not heard anything. The issue here is not about getting boxes. It's about following through on what you say you are going to do and honoring your advertising. I have asked my apartment community to remove this vendor from our site and will surely not be using them for my move. If they can't deliver on an initial promise, I'm certainly not trusting them with all of my belongings. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Working with Mesa Moving has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. Many of our items were lost in the move. The "lost" items happened to be high valuables (custom built computer, unworn Air Jordan shoes, and more). When we notified the company of the lost items we received little help and just kept being told to fill out a claim. There was no sense of sympathy for the fact that they lost personal information and items on the computer that cannot be replaced with money. The would not return our phone calls or emails for days if ever. It is some of the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. It has now been 6 weeks since they delivered our items and our claim has still not been processed and our goods have still not been located. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. The stress of this whole ordeal has been tolling, and I would not wish anyone else to have their valuable belongings lost as we did. read more

We were moving from Bay area to Austin TX and this was the first cross country move we were making. We were glad that we chose Mesa moving for our transportation. JoAnn - who was coordinating entire move from Denver made sure that we get the best customer service as we can and she made sure to accomodate correct moving window dates according to our schedule for the move. For packing the guys came 2 days before the move date and scanned entire house, figured out what needed to be crated and packed in fragile boxes, electronics, etc. On the move day, we did not have to lift a thing, packers and movers and crating service guys took care of packing each item properly in boxes with proper wrapping and padding in boxes. The entire packing and load from our 3rd story unit was done in 4 hours. On the destination when our transportation reached, all the boxes were accounted for with all goods in mint condition. The unloading of boxes was also done quickly and they helped assemble furniture as well. I am completely satisfied with service I received with Mesa moving and I would recommend that people should consider Mesa when they are moving their household goods as part of relocation. read more

Our previous move 6 years ago with a different company (not united) was a much better experience. The local movers in TN were careless about numbering and describing inventory and high value items even though forms exist. They were also worried about having too many movers loading the truck cutting individual pay. The local movers in TN were horrible and their online ratings suggested poor packing and theft so we packed our house. That seemed to work as nothing was list except a 32ft extension ladder (? Right!) If we hadnt disassembled all the furniture ourselves the movers would have been at the house more than 8 hours (ended late already because driver was over 2 hours late for whatever lame reason) The Denver local movers were careful and fast but blamed owner packing for stuff we couldnt find. Nice right- really difficult to put stickers on ALL the boxes. Mover speciality services who took care of our washer dryer, pool table and exercise equipment get 10 stars and were great in both TN and Denver. I will rate them on their yelp site. Our moving coordinator was as helpful as possible but of course she is in Denver and not TN. read more

WARNING!! DO NOT USE THIS MOVING SERVICE!! They lie to you saying you will not be charged until delivery of your goods. They will charge you the day they load your goods. They don't give a damn about you. They don't give a damn about your personal effects. They don't give a damn about your household goods. It took them a full month. One. Full. Month to deliver our goods. The trailer had broken landing gear but here is another thing you need to watch out for: United Van Lines does not own the trailer although their name is on it. Mesa Moving & Storage does not own the trailer although their name is on it also. A third party actually owns the trailer so it is easy to point fingers to the other organizations and blame them for not repairing the trailer and getting your life back to you. This is why they don't give a damn about you. Your whole life is loaded onto their equipment and they did not lift a finger to find a solution to getting it repaired and on the road. Their idea of customer service is to merely email someone and let it go at that. We lived for a month with only a week's worth of clothes. We ate from paper plates and plastic utensils for a month. We were starting new jobs so we had to buy new clothes because Mesa refused to do anything to get the trailer repaired. Do you think they reimbursed us for these expenses? Of course they didn't. They did reimburse us the amount that they overcharged us but shorted us $422 for "third party charges", whatever that is. I do not wish this horror story upon anyone and Mesa refused to do anything to make things right other than what they were contractually obligated to do. Again, don't take a chance with this company. Use a competitor and hopefully you will have a better experience than we did. I consider hiring Mesa Moving & Storage as one of the biggest mistakes of my life. read more

*** The mover(s) from Mesa Moving and Storage stole more than $350 cash from two wallets in our house. *** Our move was coordinated by Suddath, which in turn used Mesa Moving and Storage. First of all, the shipment was late. The shipment was picked up on 6/29/2015, and we were given a delivery window from 7/6 to 7/20. Not hearing anything as of 7/16, I reached out to the moving coordinator at Suddath but no date could be confirmed. Then, the delivery was on the wrong date. On Friday evening, 7/17, at 5:50pm, I received a call asking whether I would like the delivery to be on Monday, 7/20 or Wednesday, 7/22. Since I already have meetings scheduled for Monday, I chose Wednesday. On Monday 7/20, at 10:15am, I received a call at work that the movers were at our house. I cancelled my meetings last minute and rushed home. The movers did not know what happened but said such miscommunication occurred several times already. The worst was the theft. After the movers left, my husband noticed that his wallet in his study was moved and two $100 bills were missing. And our 8-year-old son could not find his wallet, which was by his bedside before the movers arrived. Later, our son came to us sobbing uncontrollably. He found his wallet in a corner of his room thrown under a low shelf, wide open and empty. His entire savings from four years of allowance, more than $150 (earned one quarter at a time), was gone! The movers were the only people who had been to these rooms during this period. During a move, people's houses are wide open and belongs are in a most chaotic state. We were especially caught off-guard because of the failure of communication. Mesa Moving and Storage violated a basic trust by hiring shady characters who took the first opportunities to steal. Great experience with my full-service move from California to Washington state. Relocating for work can be very stressful and I was glad to not have to worry about packing and moving myself. The crews worked very quickly to get everything packed up and used a lot of padding materials to keep my goods secure.
