We asked him to come up with a custom build for the vent hood, and after showing him a few inspiration photos from the internet, he matched the vision perfectly. What was really helpful was that he asked questions at every stage to ensure he had our input and didn't assume any decisions. He was patient and professional whenever we were slow to make a few of them. For our project, Chad worked mostly as a one-man operation. This was fine by us, as there was never any guesswork about who would be on-site and he maintained direct accountability for the entire project, start to finish. The ramp allows for smooth wheel chair access. The gate took longer to complete due to his scheduling. In the end, the gate height was extended, box for regular door locks added, and a privacy panel added on the back side. The welds could have been smoother and I should have gone with a powder coat instead of brushed on paint, but I got the privacy I wanted. Update: the side weld on the frame was left too sharp. Jacket got caught and while unhooking, sliced my hand. I ended up taking the gate to PS welding to repair the issues. Had I known, it would have been cheaper for Palm Springs Welding to make me new custome gate from the start. Lessons learned: based on the welding rates and quotes I received, it should have cost me about half of what Mark charged me.
