It's rare to find a company to arrive same day and within the timeframe given. I contacted them at 10 am in the morning and was told a tech could be out between 12-4. Arrived at 3:10 pm. The tech you want to request is Eric Murphy. He was knowledgeable, kind and listened to what our problem was. He thoroughly went through troubleshooting the garage door opener. Which we suspected was no longer working given we had to open it manually. He provided our two options and pricing immediately. We opted to replace the entire opener. By now it was after 3:30. He had the opener installed by 5 pm. Then offered to program the car to open wo the opener. Who does that anymore. It was close to 5 and he could have easily left and said use ur manual, it's easy to do. Nope he did it. He was such a wonderful tech and definitely knew garage doors and openers. TRUE STORY: About 4 years ago, it was our anniversary, and our garage door broke. We were stuck inside our garage with special . dinner reservations set for two hours ahead. Very unusual....To have a business that functions Perfectly on all cylinders from start to finish. From my first phone call to the office interacting with someone who smiles when she talks. I spoke to Breanna and Crystal Made my day better just hearing them. She "listened"....heard my problem and asked pertinent questions re: my situation. They did give me the chance to go buy my own parts, and just charged for the labor and the things I couldn't easily buy that day, but I wouldn't call the experience affordable. However, they were supposed to replace the broken glass in the top panel and never returned to fix it... still broken and now the door is not closing every time without several attempts when it reverses from binding. My garage door opener stopped working from the remote and wall switch. The unit hadn't been maintained properly and parts were no longer available for the Genie builder grade model that I had. We decided to up grade to a Lift Master with wi-fi and battery back up. We replaced the springs and some of the bearings as they were worn also. Eric did a great job. For the average person it is difficult to determine the exact cause of a garage door failure. Our door simply stopped working and we called a local company with a good Yelp rating. The tech came-out, heard the motor struggle, said it required a new motor and requested a $250 fee since it was 5:20 pm; all in about three minutes. Said they could replace the motor the next day for $750 including labor and one remote. Needless to say, I didn't pay the outrageous fee and then contacted Garage Door Medics the next morning and Eric Murphy came-out, did some testing and said that a, I think, capacitor was not functioning properly. He ordered one, made an appointment to install it and applied the "assessment" charge as a credit to the final bill, of $194.50. In addition he replaced a cracked hinge and used silicon spray on the others, plus he programed the remote to my BMW, for free. We are big fans and very grateful. read more
