The group of coaches are well stabled and proficient in the art of boxing. This gym will "Teach" you boxing with proper techniques that are drilled combined with a workout. No other gym has a systematic way of teaching boxing other than Wolfpack. Most gyms and boxing trainers have you do a workout and hit pads or the bag and don't teach you the fundamentals of boxing such as high guard, slipping, parrying, catching and the like. This place you actually learn the science. Not to mention, you will get in shape because it's a tremendous workout. Cheers, Mo.

Western PA Boxing Commission has banned this gym from hosting Golden Gloves as Jeff Mucci (the…read moreowner) has burned bridges all over the city with his childish and egotistical behavior. Related to my specific circumstances, I enrolled my son in his Pee-wee boxing program at the age of six years old. He regularly attended this program and very much enjoyed the coaching staff. My son requires physical therapy for a motor skill delay condition and rather than sending him to occupational therapy, his pediatrician agreed that boxing would help him improve his motor skills and coordination. Thankfully, during the 3 years we attended (and never missed a payment spending $900 a year) we had very little interaction with the owner until recently. This past Sunday, apparently my card for my membership needed to be updated, but rather than notifying me in a professional manner, he texted me that he had canceled my son's membership at 6 PM on a Sunday evening because the card had declined. I did not respond. A few days later, he then texted me asking for updated payment information and referencing a past due balance. After attempting to understand the confusion in his communication, especially after he had already communicated the cancellation of the membership, which he charges prior to the start of the month, I could not understand why he was asking for a payment that I clearly did not owe. He went on a 5 paragraph rant about his membership program & ended it by making mention of another member who recently left the gym by stating "tell Rick I said hi!" He was specifically referencing my son's uncle, which made me realize this was the reason for his retaliation. After making him aware that I would be sharing my experience with everyone I come in contact with he then threatened me by telling me his "wife is an attorney and he will not tolerate any statements that would be damaging to his brand". He also let me know that he would pursue legal action "to the fullest extent of the law." We are clearly taking our business elsewhere, but I asked him to remove my son's images from his social media after all of this retaliation against a nine year-old boy due to his conflict with another adult, which once again, is completely unrelated to my son's membership. He has still not removed the 3 photos of my nine-year-old minor child on his publicly accessible, social media platforms which I clearly requested using the same cell phone # he was using to send his strange paragraphs from. My messages and requests have been ignored. I also commented directly on each photo stating clearly that he "does not have my permission to use my minor child's photos for any of his advertising purposes." Instead of removing the posts, he responded by blocking my accounts, removing my comments, and continues to use the photos my son is featured in for advertising purposes. He clearly has not brushed up on the laws protecting the privacy of minor children, but he will soon find out via legal consequences for this behavior.

With a variety of 3 different barre classes, pure barre is a workout for everyone of all ages. Some are in their teens while other superstars are in their 70s. Pure barre is the only workout I have stuck with for so long. At over 800 classes, I can testify it works! I am a better more confident version of myself since coming here. What do I love about purr barre? Well, the workouts are great and exciting. I love switching it up between classic, empower and reform. It is always a challenge. They have some of the best playlists and lets not forget about all of the awesome retail. The instructors and desk workers are fantastic. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Each and every class, the instructor walks around the room multiple times to correct your form to make sure you are getting the very best of your workout they encourage you to drop your seat a little lower or make your heels a little higher. They call everyone by name, which I love. Class times are offered every day, almost all day, making it super convenient for anyones schedule. As for the others who attend these classes, they are truly wonderful. I have made so many friends since coming to pure barre. It is a community of amazing women. Thinking about giving it a shot? You absolutely should! With many different membership and class pack options, you're guaranteed to find the right price for you. I would recommend pure barre Mt Lebanon to everyone! The renovation has been slow and uncomfortable to workout. Jan 24th there was very little workout equipment. Feb 22nd there is more equipment but still only 4 treadmills. Still very much under construction and a note that March 1st my couples membership would increase to $75 ($49.99 + $24.99) monthly. I spoke with the new fitness manager who advised construction should be complete by June. I requested my membership was cancelled with the customer service person at the front desk that day. My credit card was charged on Feb 28th. My husband emailed today March 2nd and I will follow up in person to cancel my membership.

I know about how people love that new, well-greased equipment. I know about how people like their nationwide memberships and multiple convenient locations. Greentree doesn't fit those descriptions. At all. Which is actually why it's so awesome. From their simple, easy-to-navigate website: "The Greentree SportsPlex has always prided itself on being a friendly multi-sport family fitness facility, catering to the fitness fanatic, weekend warrior, and young athlete alike. Our staff is comprised of professional athletes, former collegiate student-athletes, and exercise enthusiast who take pride is helping our members with their fitness and health goals, no matter how small or large the goal is." Hidden at the top of a windy hill, this place is the epitome of of gritty, down-to-earth fitness. I have attended Marcy's hardcore Zumba classes on Mondays, and she is a rockstar. I've been to my fair share of Zumba classes, and her choreography is challenging yet fun and very dance-oriented, which I love. She integrates her dance background very well, and her song choices are always top notch. She also adds a great ab workout at the end. Kids run around getting ready for soccer practice, and there are activities for people of all ages and walks of life. Drop in classes are only $7, which is less than many fitness centers' package classes. The facilities may be older, but they are very clean and they provide towels if you need them. Accessible and caters to exactly the audience that its mission states it caters to. I like it.
