I was admitted to hospital after coming through the emergency room! My problem was low blood pressure and fluid on my lungs. From the time I was first admitted to another 10 days in hospital, try as I might, I could find absolutely nothing to complain about!! I saw the house doctor and my cardiologist every day. With every test, every scan, every pill, I was well informed as to the reason for procedure! I have a list of all my incredible nurses, but might be too long for this post. My father passed away last month while under the care of this hospital. The medical staff seemed to genuinely care for his wellbeing during his treatment. After his passing, I was informed that personal belongings he arrived with - including his wallet and cell phone - could not be located. These items were documented at admission, but I have not been able to recover them. Since then, I have had difficulty getting clear answers. I was directed between departments and I did not receive follow-up from security or patient advocacy despite repeated attempts to reach them. This situation has been very difficult while also managing his estate. I hope the hospital can improve communication and accountability regarding patient belongings in the future. read more

I found myself not being able to catch my breath and the local doc in the box told me I needed more definitive care than they could provide so my wife took me to Mansfield Methodist. The ER staff were diligent and triaged me quickly, ordering tests that pinpointed my ailment. The ICU nurses knew their jobs and were efficient without being cold and uncaring. My only complaint was being awakened every 2 hours so the nurses could check on me or deliver ordered treatments. If you have to go to a hospital, this was the place to go. read more

We chose Methodist as it was the closest hospital to my grandparent's home and my grandmother was brought in by ambulance. Nothing much to complain about, which I suppose is a good thing. I can't say too much regarding diagnosis as according to the care team, there wasn't much they could do to save my grandmother. Her condition was deemed inoperable, so they placed her into palliative care until the family had time to say their goodbyes. As a grandchild moving through the grieving process, I just wish I could've heard that there was a way to save her, but that has nothing to do with the care team or their decision. I understand at age 94 it would've been a high risk operation to begin with. I watched the nurses in her unit adjust her and care for her until the very end. They were skilled in at what they were doing. The doctors were transparent about next steps. The chaplain was very sympathetic and kind; haven't seen a hospital have a team of chaplains as much as Methodist had. There is some solace in having that emotional and spiritual support during a challenging time. I appreciate the care team's support. Thank you for being kind and for taking care of my grandmother as she transitioned. read more

After a single set of bloodwork and EKG, the doctor assumed all was fine and claimed I have "chronic chest pain", then refused to answer ANY questions and stated he was discharging me... I asked if I could ask a question, and he didn't say a word as he walked out shutting the door behind him... I wouldn't send my worst enemy here... He was excessively rude to boot! read more

Going to the ER CAN BE STRESSFUL. Going to Mansfield Methodist ER in Broad Street greatly reduces thst stress. Beung treated professionally and with cordiality make me feel like a valued client. RN Kasharie kept me calm through all the phases of my visit last night. She prepared me fir treatment by explaining all the details and made sure I had plenty of protection in case my nose began gushing blood. I was admitted for a procedure 9/1, everything went good. Upon arrival I had no bed sores, I'm a paraplegic. I was there 9/1-9/4, once I got home there was dried matted poop on the hair and through my private area not to mention a bed sore the size of a quarter. That was so disappointing because they were so nice and gentle with handling me but they did not take the time to clean and care for my hygiene in a manner that a human should. read more

They don't answer the call lights . No communication reqarding treatment plans . Stuck 4 times to get iv . Nurse on 4 floor was crazy . Incompetent. Ran out run crying accused of throwing water on her. Honey I'm 63 years a nurse myself why do I need to throw water? The people here were so nice from the er staff to anyone you saw in the hallways! Took my mom here after having a bad experience in ft worth last year. The staff was so friendly and actually looked happy to be at work and to meet us!! They were thorough with my mom as she had a lot of tests done. Mel and Amanda took care of her as she had to stay the night. They were so caring and sweet. The room she had was very nice and she was by herself! I was told that all the rooms are personal!! Yes! Mom was happy since she shared a room last time at a different hospital and it was not pleasant ! One thing that blew me away was the pleasant almost spa smell from different parts of the hallways! Not expecting that! We will only go here from now on!! read more

Don't go here. ER staff is shameful, maybe accept for the receptionist lady... Let me start by saying I trained as an EMT right out of high school. Prior to that I had extensive clinical training, including at this hospital... Im still traumatized, in utter shock and disbelief with the way I was handled in this ER by "Dr. T" (I don't remember his name because this was two or three years ago but if a short asian man approaches calling himself "Doctor" you RUN!!.) They should only allow female doctors to take required specimens and samples from female patients... even I know you dont have to jab or swab around directly into a wound or a tender area to get a viable sample. Honestly 0 empathy or humanity present. Even the nurse (female) looked completely mortified. He handled my case with absolutely NO patience, respect, or care and when I was obviously in pain-- his only response: a bleak and meager "calm down" as he JABBED directly into the tender area with his stupid swabs. I reported this incident and made sure I put it in my visit review 3 years ago. No one ever reached out to ask for any further details. Based on the reviews nothing's changed, actually it's gotten worse. You'll be better off going to an Urgent Care especially if you're a WOC!!!!... Go anywhere "Dr. T " is NOT. read more

Last Sunday night about 10 pm, I experienced my first and hopefully only heart attack. Found out later one artery was 100% blocked, another 90% blocked and third 80% blocked. The time we drove up to emergency until the 100% blocked artery had a stent and I was stabilized was less than one hour! And while I stayed first in ICU then a regular room for four calendar days total, the nursing staff and doctors were exemplary. The insights and care they displayed mattered to me and my family and for that I will be forever grateful. Even the hospital release process was thoughtful and caring. I took my wife there unexpectedly last week to the emergency room. We were checked in right away and taken back to a room. After running some tests, it was determined that my wife had ovarian torsion. She was admitted to the floor and was told that we would have emergent surgery done first thing in the morning. I cannot say enough good things about this hospital. The emergency room staff our nurse in the emergency room, Reece, all the staff on the floor and the physicians were amazing. Was in with my daughter that thought she may be having another miscarriage. They took her to get a sonogram and made her partner stay behind and then they did the sonogram and did not let her see the screen or even tell her if they could see a heartbeat. At the end they did say everything looked normal and that some people come just to get a sonogram so they messed it up for everyone else. First of all, this is her baby we are talking about and she was having major anxiety. Second, we paid for this visit and have insurance we pay for, we should be able to see what is going on with any test they perform! We will not be back! read more

1 28 2025 i was taken to the emergency room " i asked for help" i did not receive help, i was in a lot of pain and discomfort the entire time i was in the e.r. i do not remember any doctor coming into the room. only a nurse that was indifferent to my condition. i was badgered to answer questions not related to my condition. i was to be transferred to another hospital by careflite. the careflight paramedics refused to transport me because my blood pressure and pulse was at an unsafe level. i was nauseated and throwing up. at the last minute and holding up careflight for 30+ minutes i was given medication and treated for the symptoms. Methodist Mansfield billed $15000+to my insurance for nothing. they billed my old insurance which ended 12/31/2024. i gave them the correct insurance. they don't listen, don't care. Dr Elene Berry was the name on the bill. i don't believe i ever saw her if i did she didn't introduce herself she provided nothing that helped me. Instead of help i was sent to mayhill hospital and punished for 7 days. Methodist E.R. and dr. Elene Berry md. are a disgrace. let me die before dealing with such shitty people. Cedar Hill Fire department ambulance brought me to this e.r. against my request to be taken to Baylor Scott and White which is my insurance. they refused also to take me to Methodist Midlothian. cedar hill fire department are a disgrace. Quite a few months ago, last year. They did not properly admit a patient. My wife was suffering a stroke. They made her sign a document and she didn't even know what she signed. She thought it was "so they can treat her". Later, we found that it gave the hospital permission to keep her for 4 days but not admit her. So it was as an out patient. Causing a much higher cost to us on our insurance. i.e. Medicare part A was never used. 4 days in a hospital and that is not an in-patient. And when I called Medicare, they said that's OK. PHOOEY! Next time, we go to Baylor. read more

Methodist is getting a 4 star review because of him. My nurses, X-ray techs, registrar, and doctor were very professional, kind and compassionate. I work for a major hospital w/ outpatient rehabs as well as urgent cares, etc. I would never want to see so many unhappy people for my employer and if so, I'd expect a major overhaul. My mother is currently at this location and I was highly appalled w/ the care she is receiving. She has been there before and the first time, I loved everyone who tended to her. From the Dr., the Nurses, the complete staff; they made sure she was comfortable and at ease. This time, I can't say that was the case. I will address what stood out more than the others, her IV. They didn't insert her IV correctly and her fluid was injected under her skin. Her whole arm going down to the hand, was swollen. When they came in next, they took her vitals and never noticed how swollen she was. To me, that's alarming. I wish she were able to visit one of my hospitals, but sadly, we don't have one in her immediate area. read more

On December 15th I was taken to Methodist Mansfield for a drug overdose. The doctor advised me that he was involuntarily sending me to Millwood Hospital. i googled the facility and the reviews were awful. i requested to be sent to a different facility. i was told I had no choice. i was not provided my rights which would have afforded me the opportunity to request a lawyer. Prior to this year Ive been pleased with the services provided. Ive made it known to my husband to not let anyone transport me to this hospital ever again. i understand that may be the difference in life or death, however based on the care i received the last two times I was there im willing to risk my life to go to a better hospital.I would not recommend this facility to anyone. read more

Don't let anyone at this hospital tell you that you cannot visit your loved ones with Covid. They allow one designated visitor and you can even get special permission to change out that designated visitor. I don't believe my 85 year old dad was even Covid positive anymore as he had already had it for so long but they wouldn't allow me to stay more than 30 minutes per day. When I requested them to test him for Covid again, they refused but continued to hold him to the strict regulations of Covid patients. Those were my dads final weeks and we'll never get that extra time back. I'm so glad my sister was able to get in to see him in my place one day after a very long confrontation with the hospital admin. That was my sisters last time seeing our father and she almost didn't make it in because of the insensitivity of the hospital admin and I believe head nurse who were at first refusing even though we had already been told it was ok the night before by a couple of nurses who to this day I don't know why they would've said so if it weren't true. .The hospital administrator said they only allow more than one person in if the family member has died. I said why would we need to visit my dad if he had died already? Stupid stupid rules that are tearing families apart!! The male doctor was rude, condescending and annoyed whenever he had to speak to me or any of my family on the phone. He said "I can't keep talking to every member of your family on the phone" but we literally only got to speak to him about 2 times and he never met with me in person when I was there. I rarely received any updates or changes regarding my dads condition, I had to go in each day not knowing what I was going to learn. I asked them several times to please update me but whenever I would go there, I would find new machines/different more powerful oxygen masks and no doctor in sight to speak to. *I did speak to a kind female doctor that was looking after my dad for the day but other than that, I never got to see any other doctors in person. His oxygen kept getting worse everyday without any notification to my family. Very traumatic. I would have to call a nurse to the room and ask what had happened. I had to ask about a nebulizer for my dad with pneumonia which is a no brainer- their excuse was they don't treat Covid pneumonia patients with a nebulizer because of the infectious "droplets" but agreed to try it since my dad was most likely no longer Covid positive, it had been weeks. I had to ask about lying him on his stomach. I asked several times for them to feed my dad who had lost all ability to feed himself and wasn't even aware when they would leave a food tray next to his bed. They did leave word that he needed to be hand fed but I feel like that should've been obvious. He was not eating and If it hadn't have been for me going every single day and hand feeding him and giving him protein shakes, I believe he would've passed away a lot sooner. I feel very bad for the elderly people in there who don't have family members going in and keeping tabs on everything. I believe elderly people are not their priority. Most of the nurses were very kind and hard working but there were not enough of them to care for my dad the way he needed to be cared for. He needed "round the clock" care that I could've given him if they hadn't kicked me out after 30 mins each day. I'll never forget the words spoken when someone from the hospital called me and casually informed me my dads heart had stopped "again" that she was sure the doctor had told me the first time (nope) and they were doing CPR again but to "what end". They said we could all go see him now. Sure wish they would've let us do that earlier in the beginning or even when he was moved to ICU when he was alive and conscious. read more

HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE!! I have chronic kidney disease and GI problems. I went to their ER after hours because I was dehydrated and needed fluids and meds for reflux just until I could get to my doctor. Before I had time to process what was happening I was being admitted. I thought I would be fine for one night, get hydrated, then see my doctor. That didn't happen. I woke up and felt like I was in a horror movie. They started calling in their own doctors and planning my future medical care, none of which I wanted. They accused me of falling, I didn't, and set up an alarm on my bed that goes off if I even move too much. I was held down and forced to wear a cervical collar for a fall that never happened. I was not allowed food or water for the 2 days I was there because they scheduled procedures all of which I refused. My phone battery died and they wouldn't let me charge it so I couldn't call anyone to help me, they also took my car keys. I was informed by a very nasty nurse she was going to do a skin check and yanked my t shirt and bra off without my permission in a room full of people and the door open. I felt violated, humiliated, and abused, but most of all terrified. I later found out they ran multiple drug screens for cocaine, pcp, ect. all of them negative. The only reason I can think of for doing that is because I have CKD I have blood drawn weekly and IV fluids a couple times a week so my arms are a little bruised. My son eventually found me after 2 days he was horrified at what they had done and got me out against medical advice. He held back his rage and pretty much carried me out of there. I don't know how or why this happened other than a nurse named Hector lied about me falling and they were afraid of liability issues, but it was a nightmare. I don't think people realize what hospitals can do once they get you admitted. read more
