I'm so glad Country Club dental proved me wrong!! The front staff here is superb. They are friendly and available to answer questions. It has always been easy to schedule and reschedule my appointments. I also have not had any problems with them accepting my insurance. They even offer a membership plan so that you don't need insurance to have dental services here if you become a member! I was seen by Dr. Gray and his assistant Sammie. Both are absolutely fabulous. They are very friendly, funny, and personable. Two weeks ago I had a dental cleaning. Sammie was very gentle taking topical pictures of my teeth. I think there was another device used to detect the density of my teeth too. I was impressed (and never got this type of service in Chicago!). They really check for everything here! Dr. Gray thoroughly reviewed my teeth, X-rays, gum recession and density and photos of my teeth. I was really impressed with the examination and the technology used here. They really care about dental health. At the end of my appointment I was even given an option of a manual toothbrush or a sonicare type replacement head for my electric toothbrush. WHAT?!!? My mind was blown that I had these options! During my appointment I had mentioned that my Chicago dentist had recommended to fill cavities of two of my wisdom teeth and that I wanted to move forward with that procedure. I also mentioned that I was prescribed some special toothpaste to prevent further decay and wanted that refilled. Dr. Gray immediately called in the prescription to my pharmacy to refill the toothpaste and we scheduled another appointment for a cavity filling. Done and done! Today....two weeks later...I just got my two cavities filled and felt compelled to write this Yelp review for Dr Gray and his team at Country Club Dental (and these days I'm only writing reviews for those places that are truly special to me). I'm not the type of person that is usually scared of the dentist, but I was anxious today because of my small mouth and possible difficulty maneuvering within the small space. But they had all the tools necessary to make this experience SO EASY. My small mouth was not an issue at all and I did not feel any pain! I had to open my eyes every so often just to check if my mouth was still being worked on because I was so comfortable and didn't feel anything during the procedure! They also had a device (that amazed me because I never had it in Chicago) that allowed me to comfortably rest my mouth, while still keeping it open, and sucked up the particles/water in my mouth during the procedure. I'll be annoyed if Dr. Gray gets booked up because of this review but life isn't all about me so I'll be okay to share him and his team. ;-) I initially heard about Country Club dental from a friend who raved about Dr. Fung. I'm sure all the dentists here are wonderful but I'm sticking with Dr. Gray. =)

Well, mine scheduled it earlier that 6 months so when I got my next cleaning I was sent a bill because Insurance would not pay due to the office's scheduling mistake. I called the office to explain their mistake in scheduling and I was told that I needed to know what my Benefits were and it was my responsibility. In time, I was told that this would go to "collections" and the office would not even split their mistake with me 50/50. Now I don't know about you but I trust that my dentist/hygienist will schedule me for a 6 month cleaning or if a mistake is made, that they own their mistake. (I have since found a new dentist and I explained this scenario to the new dentist and they said they would have "written it off" because of the mistake that was made). I prefer to go where staff are Professional...they now are my new dentists. The dentists are great but the BILLING dept and manager are very unprofessional. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with these staff members. Dr. Huston is and always will be a good friend but I think the Practices' choice for billing staff needs to be changed. I had never had a crown before and was very apprehensive, but Dr. Huston was very thorough and explained why the crown would help keep that tooth as well as protect the other tooth. It was a very easy procedure- virtually painless. I received a temporary crown and then went back and received a permanent one. Now they have one day crowns for a permanent one which will be even better because they have their own new machine. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened with this Oral Surgeon's office. Let me be clear: the quality of the surgical procedure itself was excellent. The clinical care deserves recognition. The issue is not the surgeon's skill, nor even the total price charged--despite the fact that their pricing is roughly 200% above insurance norms based on MetLife's nationwide averages. The issue is how their insurance claim representative handled our case, and the complete lack of accountability from the Office Manager, Justine. Prior to the procedure, we were told our responsibility would be the $1,500 down payment, with a possible additional 10% due to being out-of-network. My wife even called to confirm this information to ensure we understood our financial obligation. At no point were we informed that we could be responsible for 80% of the total bill. We fully understand that estimates are estimates--but there is a significant difference between minor variance and a massive financial discrepancy caused by administrative negligence. The core problem: proper prior authorization was never fully obtained from MetLife. It appears the office simply confirmed that we had insurance coverage rather than securing detailed authorization and benefit breakdowns. Had this been handled correctly, one of two things would have happened: We would have been clearly informed of the true out-of-pocket cost and could have planned accordingly or delayed treatment until the following year to leverage our HSA benefits; or MetLife may have authorized a greater portion based on their average nationwide reimbursement standards (they pay 60% of their determined allowable amount). Instead, we were blindsided after the procedure was completed. When I contacted the office for assistance, there was no ownership of the mistake. No meaningful advocacy on our behalf. No attempt to escalate with the carrier. The only solution offered was a payment plan--along with subtle implications that we should have ensured pre-authorization was completed before choosing their practice. That response is unacceptable. Patients rely on medical offices to handle insurance verification and authorization correctly. That is part of the administrative service they provide. What is most disappointing is the complete absence of empathy or accountability. The apology felt rehearsed and routine, not reflective of any genuine concern for the financial hardship created by their internal oversight. Again, the surgical care was good. Had we been properly informed upfront that we would owe the full balance--or even 30% more than what we had already paid--we would have made an informed decision without complaint. Paying for quality care is not the issue. Transparency, due diligence, and patient advocacy are. This experience reflects a serious breakdown in administrative responsibility. Patients deserve better financial transparency and far greater accountability from a medical office entrusted with both their health and their financial well-being.

Theresa was my receptionist and she was so kind and incredibly patient with me, especially after I told her about my situation and that I was not used to making dentist appointments. I had my insurance card on hand so she could verify everything on the phone before I got my appointment set up. Afterwards it was just filling in the information from their website and sending that to them before my appointment! Super easy. At the appointment I had my insurance card on hand to give them. And after all that I met my hygienist and she was fantastic. I felt so well looked after and my teeth felt so much better. I am not a good flosser so Dr. Campbell and my hygienist gave me a lot of good tips to try to get into habit. They also set up a free quick checkup after two weeks just to double check everything which I appreciated so much. I felt so well taken care of especially since I have a fear of dentists stuff. The staff was so friendly and they did a great job. I highly recommend this place if it fits with your insurance!
