I'd give it zero stars if I could. The woman said two weeks and it will be delivered. After the two weeks was up no stove. Called and the lady said oh its going to be another week. Irritated but okay fine whatever we misunderstood. No big deal. After that week no stove. Called again and the lady said now it'll be on the 18th (today's the 4th when it was supposed to be delivered and the receipt says the delivery date is May 4, 2026) Terrible place to buy from, the workers don't know a single freaking thing. You'll pay for a stove and even though you need it because the old one isn't working you won't get one because they keep adding more time and it never gets delivered and they won't give you a refund so we can go somewhere else. read more

We do not recommend purchasing any appliances from this place. We bought a Subzero freezer and there were a few miner hiccup's along the way but once sorted out (So we thought) we paid $10,999. and change and were pretty excited. But a few days later the woman that sold it calls and tell me that the freezer if extremely heavy and that I needed to buy an installation kit and install it myself. NO! I have C.O.P.D and that's NOT gonna happen and I tell her she charge me $50.00 so I'm expecting it delivered and installed. She says they don't have anyone but will check and call me back. After a while she calls back and admits she screwed up only charging me $50.00 and at that point and interrupt her and tell her I called Subzero and spoke to a Sandra and she explained that NO WAY can ANY consumer install one of those and that it has to be a FCI (Factory Certified Installed) and the freezer comes with the installation kit. This is when she says that the install price is actually $350.00 but after speaking to her boss that that were "Doing us a favor" and only going to charge us an additional $200.00? WOW! Also there's no way we're getting our brand new freezer without paying so we did. In the world of business when a company screws up they take care of the customer but not Metro. They not only have no Subzero training but no Customer Service training as well. But that's not all folks, when the 3 guys arrived, only one has experience with these and after punching a few holes in our garage floor he realizes he brought the wrong anchors so he has to drive to Joplin to buy more which takes over a half hour. But then it get worst, the woman that sold us the freezer said it comes with stainless steel side panels. NO IT DOES NOT! So I call Subzero and find out they are $870.00 each plus $350.00 to install. OMG! We didn't even bother calling them. If they're gonna stiff us for the install mistake they for sure would even think of taking care of the panels so not we have our dream freezer but no side panels and girlfriends heart broken. read more

If I could give them a negative star rating, I would! We have purchased three appliances from Metro . All of them had to be replaced. Our Kitchenaid refrigerator did not work for 6 months before they offered a resolution which we then had to pay an additional $700 for... and received the wrong Appliance. The first microwave had to be warrantied out and the second is now a fire hazard. Ashley conveniently waited until the day after the warranty through them expired to call me back. I would not purchase anything else from Metro if you paid me or had a knife to my throat! Their customer service is atrocious, their appliances are obviously subpar, and I have no idea how they're still in business. Please reach out if you would like to, as I have videos of our fire hazard microwave (more in-depth than what I've posted) that is less than 5 years old and maybe used once per week. Horrible place to buy an appliance. I bought a washing machine in April of 2024. Broke in May of 2024. Called to get someone out here to fix it under warranty. They said they would have to do a ticket to the warranty company. Never called me. I had someone come out to fix it finally. September it broke. Had to wait over two weeks to get it fixed. Finally called someone to fix it. Now it is January, 2025, washing machine broke again. They said they would have to notify the warranty company to call me. They called. Have to wait three weeks to get it fixed. I now have someone else coming out so I don't have to go without a washing machine for over two weeks. Metro Appliances, if you can't stand by your appliances better than that. Do better. I am writing this review with the hopes of deterring someone from buying from them. read more

bought a brand new refrigerator six months ago. It's completely dead now. Metro sold me on their award-winning service and the fact that they do everything in house. The refrigerator died two weeks ago and they've been out one time to take a picture of it. Finally two weeks later, they made me be the bad guy to and and get somebody to do something. I have bought 3 appliances there in the last 6 months. My most recent purchase was a washer and dryer. I was lied to at the purchase, the install, damage to my house door (hasn't happened). The repair on my washer. Now having trouble with my refrigerator that was purchased 6 months ago. No returning calls. Washer repair in the process. Now waiting for third time for repair. Not a good company. They need to have staff training to at least tell the same lie. read more

I found the fridge I wanted on the Metro Appliance website. The cost was $1,799 plus $49 for installation and $29 to haul the old one away, and $15 for a new water line. Fine. I reached out to a local sales rep and she said, the prices on line for installation etc are not correct. The sales rep I spoke with was Presley. She said the cost for installation is $70. What? I asked if I ordered it on line who would deliver and install it. She said "our store," which I can literally hit with a rock standing up the street. So I said, "if I order it on line, you and your store deliver it and service it, and warranty it and I just pay the $49 charge? But if I order it from your store directly through you, the charge is $70? I asked, "are you trying to drive customers to online purchases?" She said, "no, we want you to come to the store not go on line." Really? On line it showed a 3 year warranty for $189. So I asked about it. She said, "we don't really sell the three year warranty anymore, so you'd have to buy the 5 year plan." I spoke with the manager Heather at Joplin the next day, and she said she couldn't find a SKU for the 3 year warranty. She also said her sales person did nothing wrong quoting me that different installation price. When I asked the sales rep, "why does it show differently on line?" She said the online website has not been updated. She said it's not a chain so we can do what we want. The rep said it's privately owned so we can charge whatever we want in Joplin, even though she had just said the prices were set by "corporate". So after we hung up I called a couple of their other stores in other cities near Joplin. Turns out they were being dishonest about both the installation and three year warranties. They were also being dishonest about the prices on line. The other stores said their prices matched everything on line and said they didn't know what was wrong with the Joplin store. Do NOT buy from this company!! All they did was LIE to me from the start saying it will take couple weeks for both to come in (my range, range hood and 4 prong cord.) when i finally called today exactly 2 weeks after ordering all to see when will i get my items, I was told by John the kid, oh we have to wait for our truck to have a full load before we deliver it. Well??? why wasn't that stated to me when i ordered my items? bc if it was stated to me; i would of shopped elsewhere. Then they leave me on hold for more than 5 minutes not once but 3x!!! what kind of place is ron and john running there?? to treat ppl after they get there money with ignorance!!! bc when i used to call it was always, oh ron is busy with customer. since i heard this too many times i now realise, once they have your money, the hell with you and on to someone who they haven't gotten there money yet!!! i asked to be refunded. This is the 2nd refrigerator that we had purchased from this Metro location. Both times I shopped around and the big box stores sales people didn't even acknowledge that I was in their area. But, if I was looking for a 10 cent screw or bolt @ the big box store, they hound you to let them help, but when it came to a 1,000 dollar appliance they didn't even look up. The only other store besides Metro that wanted to help me find the right appliance was the place that repaired the appliances and resold them. The first one we bought from them went out just after the warranty expired. So off I went looking, and ended up at Metro again. I appreciate Robin's patience because we purchased the appliance after our third trip to the store. I appreciate the company for recognizing the military as well. I will buy from them again to round out more of our kitchen appliances. read more

I ordered two appliances in April as we remodeled our home and wanted to upgrade. The appliances were to be in in August/September time frame. I had to continually call for an update. No one answering the phone could answer my questions as my sales rep was not there on the days I called and no one else would tell me what they were seeing in the system. The day I ordered the computers were down and one of my appliances wasn't even ordered. It was a huge pain and a lot of rude staff to deal with along the way. DO NOT USE!. 2 years ago we ordered and bought a new Kitchen aid stainless kitchen, our refrigerator was unavailable when the rest of the appliances were delivered. Metro sent a brand new Frigidaire as a loaner for a few months until our unit was ready, TRY THAT FROM A BIG BOX RETAILER!! when they are done laughing at you for suggesting it, you'll wish you had bought it at Metro!! Great staff and will buy from them as long as we are in their area!!!!! read more

This is my go-to when it comes to appliances. Especially if you want something unique and better quality. So far this year we have had to replace 4 of 6 appliances... yay 2019! We have gotten all of them from there bc they find exactly what we need. Delivery is only $30 and they will install. It's been a great process working with Tom. The most recent was our washer and I want one that will last. Not these fancy computerized ones. Well folks, you can have that and then some... come to find out they offer commercial grade washers! Two years ago we purchased a new front loading LG washer and dryer from Metro, and their delivery person made a three point turn in our driveway, pulling into the yard and driving over our sprinkler system. We had the security footage to verify. I called the manager and he wanted my landscape guy to call him before he did the repairs. Seriously?! Like I'd let your people fix my sprinkler system. Long story short Manager was unhappy when I sent him the invoice, but paid anyway. Recently we purchased a new washer because the bearings went out and the parts were no longer available. (Not faulting Metro with the parts no longer being available.) Reluctaly we went to Metro against our better judgement. The delivery person had absolutely no idea what he was doing. While taking out the old washer he gouged our laundry room floor. Ok, stuff happens. When bringing in the new he completely destroyed the floor. The delivery person called and reported to the manager. After the delivery person left, I started the washer to find out HE DID NOT HOOK THE WATER LINES UP! I could have done it myself, but when paying for a service why should I do someone else's job?! I called the Manager and he came with another service person. They claimed to have fixed the issue. To date our washer still does not work properly and is off balance. I guess I just need to call LG and see what they can do. While the manager was waiting on is service person to fix the issues, he told me to send him the repair invoice for the floor, which I did and they sent a check. Later we found that the dryer vent was crushed and needed to be replaced. All in all, they claim to match the big box competitors prices. Do yourself a favor and just go to the big box store, where you will get a reputable delivery and installation professional without the hassle! I wish we would have! read more
