Although the place looks sparce, in that I would think they would have more to sell? Anyways just an observation. That said I would carefully consider using this store as I had two small but relatively bad experiences. First, I had the lens cap on both of my cameras come off and the fold won't unfold all the way. Finally the screen has dead spots. I called customer care and reported my issue. Since I have TEP - Total Equipment Protection (read the TOTAL part again) the contract I signed was no questions asked replacement. Customer care said they'd ship my device to the store and I could pick it up. That night 1 hour before they closed, I called the store to see what I needed to do. She wasn't exactly happy I was calling. Then informed me "well you can't bring it in now, we're closing in an hour." I couldn't even get the sentence out before she was making it clear that they couldn't do it now. After she released her hot air, I said they have to ship it first. Then she was happy, b/c I guess it meant I wouldn't be coming in on her shift in the future. When my phone finally arrived I dropped by to pick it up. The two people were helping one customer. What I mean is one person was helping a customer and the other was leaning on the counter. After they finally addressed me I said, "You guys have a phone for me to pick up and trade in." The guy looked pissed and said he can't do that. I showed him the text that proved the point. He wasn't happy. Then he inspected the phone and said it looked dropped, I said, that's not the issue! Anyways the whole attitude at the store, Tmobiles lying of swapping devices that I pay for each month to protect me from and the total Tmobile mentality sucked. I'm not going to tell anyone what carrier to use, but I'm switching with the Fold 8 comes out. Next, I will never EVER step foot in that store again. I used to be in retail ages ago and there's something to be said about quality customer service.

There was a ton of people sitting around and a guy told me they were all waiting and the wait was over an hour. Not for me Jack! I turned around and walked right out. After a few hours passed I remembered there was this Verizon location right up D Road. Duh Rebecca!!!! I walked in and there were three employees and one customer. Perfect ratio! I can't remember his name, let's say Kyle. Kyle was very knowledgeable and able to go right to the back and get me an iPhone 13 mini, case and screen protector. He had forgotten to do the reimbursement for sending my perfectly good iPhone 8 to be refurbished, so I told him not to bother I'd just keep it. I had been there for an hour already and there was NCAA basketball games being missed. PRO TIP - before leaving the store with a new phone make sure you can make and receive text and make and receive phone calls. I asked him to call my phone and nothing happened. He then said it was bc of the 5G SIM card in the new phone and took my SIM card out of my phone I came in with to get the new one to work. Weird. But I was then glad my phone wasn't being shipped off to TX without being able to make and receive calls on my new phone!! All in all an easy experience and I'm happy with the great new camera on the phone. Can't you tell the difference in my food pics?!?!?!

Located in a safe part of the heart of Summerville, Best Buy isn't what it once was but much worse…read more The outside seems normal enough, on par with our memories of a begotten age and heck the employees seem very nice as well. However, I'm here to level set expectations as my experience in many regards gives cause for concern. I'll detail out how the industry has forced change as well as Best Buys own questionable business practices; all of which had an impact on shopping here. I'll admit, I love Best Buy. I have a very expensive home theatre, I have a bunch of CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays, 4ks, Xbox and Nintendo games along with a Galaxy Fold phone and accessories. I list these products b/c many of them aren't available at Best Buy anymore. With the advent of streaming, Best Buy no longer carries physical media. So, when you stream Toy Story 2 and say "hey, where's that scene with Stinky Pete?" well that's because Disney has altered the movie and unless you have a physical copy your memories are all you have of the scene. Or perhaps you purchased a game on Sony's streaming service, yup you don't own that either. My point is Best Buy isn't there to give you an option to streaming anymore and their floor space has opened up to even more boring and drab "knick knacks" instead of electronic goods. Next, I'm not sure why, but they don't even keep much product on hand, thus limiting the selection. I went in looking for a 15" fiber cable or the same HDMI 2.0 cable. The reason I didn't check on the website is I thought, "I have the time and I like to browse and Best Buy should have it." Big mistake. After finally flagging down an employee who had no idea what I was talking about we couldn't find it. I found a 4" and 8" optical which wasn't enough as well as a 10" and 50" HDMI cable. While there I hopped on my phone and found exactly what I needed on Amazon as for cheaper as I calculated it. This was also true for many other products such as Roku options, TVs, Switch 2 controllers and computer and computer accessories. Finally, I got to the check out line, which I had to ask the security guy where to pay and he said "customer service." I remember the checkout stations and customer service was for repairs. I'm being brutally honest I waited 15 minutes to be helped because they only had one person at customer service. We had 6 people waiting and finally someone decided to give assistance. But here's the kicker, the nice gentleman asked "did you find everything ok?" My response was "No, you don't have the length of optical I needed." His response was telling and why you should not consider Best Buy. He stated with vigor "Have you heard of this stereo place buy Walmart? They should have everything you need." Think about that, a huge store needs to direct my business elsewhere. I admit it, I miss things like a well-stocked Best Buy, Toys R Us, the mall, Barnes and Noble, Circuit City, Block Buster, Camelot Music and many other places. I liked to walk around but I knew they always had what I needed. We call things "progress" right now but it seems what's left of brick-and-mortar businesses don't put much effort into their own survival. While I liked the people at Best Buy for the first time ever, I left irritated. Their commitment to the customer has long gone and considering how carefree they are to service, then I'm not going back. Consider somewhere else before using this place as it's a last resort.

I had a gift certificate to spend, and wanted to upgrade my charger selection (you can never have…read moreenough chargers). I found the selection modest, but there was some value to be had. I filled my need with something cheap. I'm a tad skeptical that it will last, but it made sense for me at the time. Weirdly, this location did not have any identifiable checkout line, and I was sent to the customer service desk to actually make a purchase by a group of employees who just kind of seemed to be sitting around. It was a bit of an odd experience.
