1-Star Review After…read more15 years with Verizon, I called in July to see if they valued keeping my business. My bill was nearly $200/month, and all they offered me was a $10 discount. When I mentioned Xfinity's offer, Verizon had no interest in matching it. So, I switched to Xfinity, where I already have internet and security. For comparison, Xfinity gave me: * $25 per line for 12 months (2 phones, unlimited service) * $100 gift card per line (2 lines transferred) * After the first year, my total is just $65/month for 2 phones * A free Apple Watch included * I own my equipment, so no hidden costs Verizon made the port-out process a nightmare -- three days back and forth between carriers. I requested all services disconnected, including my Apple Watch, yet Verizon failed to do so. Two months later (September), instead of a final bill, I received a threatening letter demanding $250. To this day, I have not received a proper itemized final bill. Even worse, when I called the number on that letter, their system did not recognize the account number or the phone number listed. Impossible to reach a person. The only way I finally got through was by calling in as if I were a brand-new customer. To top it off, Verizon suddenly began charging me for a Disney Bundle from a phone upgrade 3 years ago -- something I never asked for, never used, and didn't even know I had. And here's the kicker: Verizon now claims I "never disconnected" service, only ported my numbers. They locked me out of my account, left my Apple Watch line still charging, and yet shut down the online portal where I could even view or pay anything. In short: * Verizon wouldn't fight to keep a loyal 15-year customer. * They billed me after disconnection. * They charged me for "free" services from years ago. * They failed to disconnect lines I specifically requested. * They blocked my account access while still billing me. * They replaced an itemized bill with a threat letter that leads nowhere. * They make it impossible to reach support unless you pretend to be a new customer. Buyer beware: Especially after you leave, you MUST double-check your Verizon account. They make it impossible to get through -- their threat letters only list closed account info that doesn't work when you call. Verizon will say you "only ported numbers," not disconnected service, then lock you out of your account while still charging for leftover lines. Loyalty means nothing here. Meanwhile, Xfinity gave me better pricing, better perks, a free watch, and no hassle.

Setting the wait aside, I received helpful service that resolved my issue without a lot of extraneous discussion. Various other groups came before and after me with complex issues and got the human touch needed for a solution, so I'd say this is probably a decent location to come to if you need some actual help.

Verizon Wireless moved from its cramped storefront in the Mount Pleasant Town Center, to a large,…read morespacious location on Johnny Dodds, just up the road, next to Ethan Allen. (If you find yourself at the IOP Connector, you went too far.) A team member checked me in as soon as we walked in the door. The new facility was bright, spacious and designed for customers' ease of movement among product categories and each manufacturer's models within a product line. Within 5 minutes, Katie approached us and wrote a written assessed my iphone5 to assure its 'good' condition. And, with this piece of paper, I qualified to trade-in my 2 year old iPhone 5 and take advantage of the iphone 6 promotion ... purchase an iphone 6, priced at $199 with a 2 yr contract and receive a rebate of $199. It seemed straight forward ... my out-of-pocket cost would be $0.00 (plus the standard upgrade and associated taxes and fees), You're right ... It was too good to be true.... I was approaching s perfect storm: 1) the promotion ends September 30 2) the rebate was actually in the form of a Verizon gift card 3) the new iPhones were sold out ... a phone, ordered today, would not arrive until Halloween .... making it logistically impossible to complete an in-store trade by Sept 30 in the manner I intended (which was to put the purchase on my Verizon account then immediately apply the rebate to the account to defray the cost). Katie further explained that since the phone would be s back order: 1) the entire purchase would have to go on a credit card (not my Verizon account). 2) I would receive another package from with mailing instructions for returning the old phone to Verizon. 3) Verizon would mail out the rebate card after the package was received and processed at the trade-in center. 4) Then, with card in hand, I could stop in at the Verizon store and apply the card amount to a current Verizon bill. Bottom line, the total amount for a phone purchased today would show up on my Visa bill in November and it probably would be January before I received and applied the rebate card from this September promotion to my Verizon account. Katie was poised, courteous and professional; her approach and manner did not falter after my husband decided he would wait to upgrade his iphone 5 when the iphone 7 is released next Fall. We 'did not shoot the messenger' and Katie did get my sale. Since I was not leaving the store with my new phone, today, i actually purchased and back ordered the iPhone 6s for an additional $100. As for my husband, all he could do was lol.

There was a ton of people sitting around and a guy told me they were all waiting and the wait was over an hour. Not for me Jack! I turned around and walked right out. After a few hours passed I remembered there was this Verizon location right up D Road. Duh Rebecca!!!! I walked in and there were three employees and one customer. Perfect ratio! I can't remember his name, let's say Kyle. Kyle was very knowledgeable and able to go right to the back and get me an iPhone 13 mini, case and screen protector. He had forgotten to do the reimbursement for sending my perfectly good iPhone 8 to be refurbished, so I told him not to bother I'd just keep it. I had been there for an hour already and there was NCAA basketball games being missed. PRO TIP - before leaving the store with a new phone make sure you can make and receive text and make and receive phone calls. I asked him to call my phone and nothing happened. He then said it was bc of the 5G SIM card in the new phone and took my SIM card out of my phone I came in with to get the new one to work. Weird. But I was then glad my phone wasn't being shipped off to TX without being able to make and receive calls on my new phone!! All in all an easy experience and I'm happy with the great new camera on the phone. Can't you tell the difference in my food pics?!?!?!
