I recently hired Rock Solid Concrete to pour an 8x12 concrete slab in my backyard for a shed, and…read moreworking with Charlie was one of the best contractor experiences I've had as a homeowner. Before finding Rock Solid, I actually hired another concrete contractor because their quote was a little cheaper and they had decent reviews. Unfortunately, that decision ended up costing me time and frustration. The contractor never came out to look at the site beforehand and relied only on a photo I sent. When the slab was poured, it ended up several inches out of square and badly sloped, which made it completely unusable for placing a shed on top of it. Thankfully I was able to get my money back and have it removed, but the whole experience reinforced something many homeowners learn the hard way: the cheapest quote is rarely the best value. That's when I reached out to Charlie at Rock Solid Concrete, and the difference was obvious right away. Charlie came out in person to survey the site, explain the grading and prep work needed, and walk me through exactly how they would make sure the slab was square, level, and reinforced with rebar since it would support a structure. On the day of the project, Charlie was involved from start to finish. He checked measurements, supervised the crew, and sent photos and updates throughout the process so I could see each stage -- from forming and rebar placement to the final finish. The professionalism stood out. The crew respected the property, kept the area clean, and worked efficiently. Once everything cured, I checked the slab with a level and it is perfectly square and perfectly level, exactly what you want when placing a shed or structure on top. Charlie clearly takes pride in his work and treats every job as if it were on his own property. Rock Solid's quote wasn't the cheapest one I received, but after seeing the result I can confidently say it was worth every penny for the quality and peace of mind. I'll absolutely recommend Rock Solid Concrete and Charlie to anyone needing concrete work, and if I ever have another concrete project, he'll be the first person I call.

I used a…read morelandscaper (a big company with operations in at least one other state) recommended by the developer. They completed the job on time and the quality was good. My concern was that I felt the result was very different from what I hoped. I was disappointed. I hoped to have one of the nicest properties in the community, and instead I felt a little embarrassed. This is my fault, but I was out of the country for a couple of months while the company was doing the install, and I was too busy to give the project the careful thought that it required. After being in the house for one week, I decided that I was unhappy enough to be feel bad instead of happy about my new front and back yards. I decided to find another landscaper to totally redo the landscaping. I had seen the Desert Sage Landscaping truck several times over the past few months working on nicely landscaped properties (I rented a house in the community for 8 moths while they built my house). I liked what I saw. I talked with one of the guys and he took me to the owner, Miguel. I liked having the owner actively maintaining landscapes because that gave me confidence that he had a lot of practical, on the job experience with plants in our desert environment. I showed him my front and back yards and told him what I wanted done. I asked him about many plants that I liked and he told me what was good and what was bad. He was speaking from experience in maintaining so many properties. He gave me a plan within 24 hours and began a couple of days later. He and his crew spent about a week replacing the walkways and plants, and adding boulders, hills, irrigation, lights and many plants. The price was reasonable and the result is excellent. I now have one of the nicest landscaping in the community. Thank you, Miguel and your team at Desert Sage Landscaping.

Water from the pool or rain would flood the back patio. After thirty years of wear and tear in the backyard, the rocks and the dirt were sliding into the pool during rain or heavy pool days as well. The brickwork that was put in by the previous owners was not level. And I needed to be pulled up.They were able to level the ground and patio. Miguel installed a drain line and a French drain. This moves the water away from the house and gives it a place to go. He added a pony wall that serves as a bench and also a small retaining wall to help divert water away from the pool, and keep rocks from being kicked into the pool pair.He if we removed old brickwork and installed new bricks with a nice border to make it look seamless A nd inviting into the backyard, He refreshed our our ground covering rocks front and back. He moved some decorative boulders and also trimmed up the yard. And removed some bushes. He and his crew were on time. Communicated well and cleaned up after themselves. Thank you for the new backyard. That's fun day hangout n.

We were planning on being closed for our employee Christmas party the following Sunday (the ONLY day of the year we are closed). Adis contacted his crew and they were willing to come in at 6:30am on Sunday and do the job in one day! We did have to be closed Monday so the epoxy could dry but that's so much better than losing 2-3 days business. The outcome was fantastic! They stripped the floors of whatever epoxy was left, put a tinted primer down, epoxy and then polyurethane. Adis personally stopped by a few days later to see if I had any questions, to see if we liked it, etc. They were absolutely reasonably priced (this is not a cheap job to have done) and did a wonderful job. We will have them back to do behind the bar and the back room at some point.
