I hired Desert Mesa in April 2026 to apply Kool Decking with paint to match the base color of the house (Smoky Beige) to my newly installed concrete on the back patio. I also hired Desert Mesa to paint the back patio Pergola to match the base color of the house.The Kool Decking applied was Bajah Tan, color of desert sand. The Pergola was painted Smoky Beige, stucco house paint, and applied to lattice and aluminum beams that fade and peel. I called George Scott who offered a redo; I do not trust him or his company. I have an update on a previous review. It is now February 13 and they have finally agreed to come out today and fix the tragic mess they had made of our driveway. This has been going on for over a month now. They are unreliable and undependable, and are full of excuses. When we ask them exactly what they are going to do to fix our driveway. George literally said I don't know. Apparently there are only a couple of people they work with who do driveways. That being said, they will be sending out the same people that did not do the driveway correctly to begin with. This was done originally on December 30 and the wet caulking is still coming out in between the seams. I'm hoping they can rectify the situation today. It's important for me to note that I did call PORA to file a complaint. The woman told me that they no longer recommend them as they have had too many issues. Not surprising at all! read more

We worked with Little Joe and his Grandfather Joe. They were very accommodating while we chose our colors and decided on all the options. We had the exterior of our home painted along with the soffit and fascia, and our block wall. The price was more than fair in our opinion. The team we had doing the work was led by a gentleman named Jorge. They were all very nice, professional, and did a great job. Everything was taped off and there was no over spray on anything. There was a pealing problem in a couple spots on a section of the back wall (paint on already painted block) and they came right back out the same day and fixed it. Work was marginally satisfactory--they broke a light, lots of overspray and painted rubber door seals instead of taping them to name a few. We figured we got what we paid for. More importantly, they pitched providing a fee for referrals. So, I referred them business that closed several weeks ago. I called Desert Mesa ahead of time before my referral called them to give them a heads up that my referral would be calling. I then called Desert Mesa after the job was completed to find out how I would receive my referral fee, but they reneged on the referral fee giving me unacceptable excuses. NOVEMBER 2024 The owner of this company also owns SUN CITY ROOFING in Chandler AZ please look at the reviews under that company He has a history of not doing a job, doing it incompletely and ROC disputes, which can pull your license. Unfortunately ROC disputes do NOT stay on their website. I had to file a complaint with the state to get my roof finished. I had to take my property off the market until it was done--- 4 months. He told ROC he would paint the ceiling inside to resolve the stains and didnt show. It costs me sales of my property having to deal with the lies to me and my realtor. They are painting my neighbors house and they painted two others on the same block and they also did some cool deck on another house the work is in the class of a blow and go they put enough paint on to cover it but they don't know how to spray paint and they don't back roll I question the painter about not back rolling and he said it's not necessary so I ask why they charge for it and then not do it. Another painter on site said they are back rolling and I said no there not at that time he got of a roller and started back rolling it looked like a two year old was doing the rolling. I am so tired of these companies ripping people off.One more thing any paint will only cover 400 sq ft per gallon and paint should never be put on if the surface temp is over 90 in any 24 hour time and all coats should be back rolled from top to bottom not all over the wall. When we were ready they sent out a crew who power washed the walls, repaired the stucco and put on two coats of paint. We had Desert Mesa paint our home in 2011 and we were so pleased with the job they did. However, this time the outcome was not the same. The price was exactly twice what is was last time but, the Job was sloppy. Here are some of the problems we had. Slider security door not opened and the back side not painted Paint drops on Saltillo tile on porch Paint on metal overhead Paint on screen door on porch slider door Overspray on screen door on porch Back door never opened when painted Porch outlets/ 2 painted and three not painted Front security door stuck and pulled off paint Paint on garage threshold Paint on rocks (never moved from base of home in a number of places) Metal plants pulled loose from their buried base Gap under bedroom window not caulked They came back and fixed some of the problems, but we kept finding more and cleaned up and repaired the rest ourselves. We're still finding overspray. We will look elsewhere the future. Obviously things have changed with This company. read more

What a beautiful, neat and professional painting Poncho and Orlando delivered to our home! They started with an extensive and careful prep, covering the windows and outdoor furniture with plastic and caulking cracks. We especially appreciate their caulking around the windows and expect the house to be cooler this summer. The gates were unlocked and opened (the first time since we've moved in ! :)) and the sills carefully cleaned so that the paint job looks great! They carefully moved portable outdoor furniture out of the way and did a careful job cleaning up. We enjoy the two tones we now have. Their careful masking left great lines for the two colors. They did my whole house outside painting plus my roof. A big job. It was supposed to take 3 days for the painting, and about 1 week for the roof. The painting never got finished. They came back a few times to spot paint where they had missed, and my front door, which was sprayed, they decided to fix those spots with a paint brush and never did it right. They said they'd come back to fix it, but after 4 weeks of constant calling, I gave up and I had to hire someone else to come out and fix it properly. As for my roof, it took longer than expected, and they there were 8 cracked tiles when my handyman inspected it, so then it took them about 3 weeks to replace those 8 tiles, after constant calling and texting. They're very nice people, but not communicative and didn't do the job right on either the first time around. read more

Well I have made 3 calls for a estimate and finally someone called and said he thought he could make that week to do the estimate. Well that was over a week ago and no call back. Desert Mesa Painting did an awesome job painting our house! George's crew came to the house when they said they would be there and promptly started prepping our large house. I was worried how long it might take to prep and paint a large house and because it was literally the hottest part of the summer if the guys could get in done in the estimated 2 days. Well thats exactly what they did. The guys had to move back patio furniture and also some potted plants in the front yard. They moved it all very carefully and put it back where they got it from when finished. I'm very picky about paint not being a straight edge or being "off", but it all looked excellent when finished. When they were done in the estimated 2 days, all there debris was completely removed and nothing left behind. I have had other contractors leave quite a mess before so i was happy about that! Highly recommended!!! I scheduled a time with George and he came and did a complete walk around and explained exactly what they would do and a good time frame on completion. We went with George because he was straight forward and gave us the best estimate right away, no games. George was patient with us and the HOA approval, once the approval came back he had his crew on scene within 4 days. Their quality of work is outstanding from start to finish (prepping, power washing, taping, sealing, etc., plus, repairing stucco prior to painting). We were exceptionally pleased with the sealing of all the hairline cracks in the stucco around the windows during the prep.
