Cooking Related?! You can find it here!

I come when I need specialty items. Like seafood steamers, etc. I exploded a candy thermometer in my Le Creuset pot I was using for deep frying peanut oil by just not paying attention letting the oil get over 450 degrees. Oops set the house fire alarms off, yeah pretty stupid not to mention a little dangerous on a gas stove. So, I wanted a candy thermometer with an audible alarm when it hits temp and they had a digital one I now use when doing any high temp stovetop cooking. I'm getting into molecular cooking techniques so came for N2O cartridges for emulsifying/frothing. If I'm in a hurry I just go up and ask if they have what I need and they lead me too it. The cartridges are kept behind the checkout counter! I didn't have to go far LOL! It's fun to wander the store and peruse when I have the time. We still haven't had our New House Warming Party, so much to unpack and where to put all the stuff, but will use this store for making a good impression!

Knocking 'em down another star for shitty customer service, shitty prices and an even shittier selection.

Kitchen heaven. Literally. But once, use for a lifetime. And...you pay for what you get. I like it better than habitat Housewares.

I work with Kristy and when she's out Rachael. Kohler is a brand we're using throughout the house. The lead time on Kohler faucets/parts can be 60 days. In other words you have to order WAY IN ADVANCE! I needed valves that go in the wall behind showers and baths ASAP so the plumbers could install them before the walls were gypcreted and tiled. Mr. N we need these ASAP we have to pressure test your system ... I ordered the faucets the rain heads and shower bars but ooohhh didn't know I needed rough-in valves (basically the gut of the temperature hot cold control for your shower). Okay ... I don't have 60 days I need them in 5 ... plumber said call Ferguson. Kristy pulled 2 from Wasilla, had one in town and 2 at their distribution center in Seattle. Boom ordered shipped and got them and needed parts for our standing jetted tub too. Who knew there were so many pieces to plumbing. The Plumbers day was saved! This week was nuts. I had to literally track down 5 parts I missed. So today I picked up a valve I made a mistake on, and I had 2 trim valve kits shipped to my new home address when they found them in California. Kohler Customer Service in Wisconsin - I have their number saved. They helped track down what was available which I ordered in Anchorage. Plumbers are back Friday ... I have all their parts again ready. Plumbers vans and trucks are outside at Will Call all the time - they get contractor discounts. Hmmm ... Hint Hint! Yeah, if you have the 60 days to get it in you can be stress less. BUT - if you can't close on your house till they're in ... oh yeah they can hook you up they can search!

We said sure go for it. He came back upstairs a significant amount of time later and began to shame us for not having our bathroom remodeled in 2017 when he came out to give us a quote then. He said "you didn't respect my time then and you're not respecting my time now." My husband, son, mother and I stood in shock, wondering what the heck was going on. I said well geez we lived through a whole pandemic since then, give me a break. He said, "that was two years before the pandemic even started" and gruffly continued his drawings, suggesting we were idiots with every question or request. He asked several times about the whereabouts of our cat and said "usually Siamese cats are friendly. Yours is not." WHAT? But wait, there's more! We politely waited for him to finish his very important drawings as we apologized for needing a new roof, new flooring, having several ambulance trips, a house fire, and being healthcare workers during a pandemic, and further trying to explain why we couldn't remodel our bathroom sooner. He and his coworker left. My husband goes downstairs and comes back up applying rubber gloves. His face aghast. "What's wrong? Why do you have rubber gloves on?" THE GUY POOPED ON OUR BATHROOM FLOOR. HE POOPED ON AND AROUND OUR TOILET. HE SAID NOTHING. HE MADE NO ATTEMPT TO CLEAN IT UP. I am well aware of gastrointestinal ailments and have seen it all but this man sh*t all over my bathroom like an effing Brixton train station and then managed to come back upstairs to shame and insult me for not having my bathroom done six years ago. I called their office IN SHOCK to explain the whole thing and ask for a manager. The gal on the phone was appalled but didn't ask for my name or number, we never got a call or email in return. We managed to make it a great day for ourselves otherwise but will forever be haunted by Re-Bath and would NEVER recommend them to anyone in a thousand years.
