I wish I had found Norma O'Bryan of Discount Draperies long ago. Our most recent experience (in 2021) with a different drape company cost us twice the amount per window, took nearly three times as long to have the drapes made and installed. What's worse, is that I'd call four times and leave a message before I would receive a call back. Norma is amazing to work with. She is very responsive. She came to our home with countless fabric and trim samples. She counseled us on fabric, styles, colors and hardware. Our drapes were made by her local workroom within the time Norma estimated, and Norma's installation person, Josh, did an excellent job installing them while Norma was here with him to ensure our satisfaction. We are so pleased!

He said he's never seen a bigger scam in his life. We agreed that I was paying a flat fee for Jacob's services. I asked for receipts repeatedly and they finally conjured up a price list for most pieces, not all. Most pieces that I was able to find were MUCH CHEAPER online, up to 4 times cheaper!! He even had the nerve to tell me that I got my things CHEAPER through his vendors and that I saved money. Sara, the owner, is just as guilty if not more. I asked her repeatedly for receipts. She ignores requests. I ask her if I was up charged for furnishings. She does not answer. Do not trust these people. I'm VERY suspicious of some of the glowing reviews on Houzz.com and elsewhere. My reviews keep disappearing on other sites, too. They apparently get the bad reviews removed somehow. Thank you Yelp, for not allowing that. Oh and one more thing: I told Jacob that I do not want any leather furniture because I'm vegan for ethical reasons. So what does he do? He purchases 4 pieces of leather furniture and has them reupholstered. Does that make any sense to anyone? I still bought leather, and I'm morally opposed to it. Furthermore, he charged me INSANE amounts for the reupholstering rather than just picking out furniture with no leather. I have also had a couple of people private message on me here saying that they too have been screwed by Jacob. He's a great con-artist. Becky's view of micromanaging is asking questions about designs being different from the customers requests in the design.
