We reached out to them via E-Mail and Janelle, the office manager, was very quick to respond to all our emails. We were fortunate enough to be able to get a same day appointment and set up our AC portion of the package come May. They sent out Dakota and his partner to work on our furnace. They were both very polite and let me know our filter needed to be changed and where it needed to go once purchased. We learned a lot about our system just by listening. Our pets loved their company, especially our dog, and they didn't mind them lingering around and giving them some extra attention. Before they even left our home we were sent a "Maintenance Checklist" that was a detailed PDF of what was done and even more information about our system. In summation, we are happily going to use Urban Heating & Cooling for our needs. We felt like they were reasonably priced and with the communication and continued updates- you can't get any better than that.

I called Gross Heating on Monday to have someone come out asap. I was told Wednesday morning was the soonest they could make it. I was reluctant to call another company because in the past I had a bad experience with another. The last time Gross came out, they did a great job, so I called them back and said okay to Wednesday. They said they could actually send someone out Tuesday, late in the afternoon. The technician came out and apologized, saying this job may take more time than we have today and run into a lot of overtime. So, a new appointment was set up with another tech for Wednesday morning. In a way I'm glad this happened because the new tech was excellent in every way. He had the part I needed on his truck and had everything completed at noon. While he was there, our daughter called saying you won't believe this, but my boiler stopped working and I have no heat. Gross had anticipated the tech would be at my house the entire day. I asked if we could go over to her house to take a look at her boiler. Gross said okay, so off we went. She needed a new pump motor, which luckily he also had on his truck. In conclusion, both of our heating systems were fixed in the same day and at what I feel was a reasonable price. I trust Gross Heating and wouldn't use anyone else.

Uttke performed a diagnostic and confirmed what I thought all along--the air handler was not cracked, and there was no carbon monoxide leaking into my home. The system was cutting off because I had installed one of those "smart" thermostats that have given homeowners so much trouble. Uttke did show me a good replacement for my furnace when the time came--a mid-range Armstrong furnace. I appreciated their integrity. I went out of my way to purchase AprilAire filters from Uttke because I appreciated how I was treated. Fast forward a couple years and I had moved to Cedarburg and needed two heat pumps. I called Uttke, got an in-person assessment, and a quote. I purchased on the spot and within days I had two heat pumps installed. Uttke was great in terms of communication to make certain the units were placed where I wanted them, and where they would make the most sense. I would recommend Uttke with confidence.

They came out on a Saturday to find mice had set up residence in our outside unit. They did a quick clean up and then checked the inside unit. They found the unit arcing and creating a fire hazard. They cut off the energy supply to avoid a fire. Next they quoted the cost to replace the AC system. A check around quickly showed that their price was better than competitors.
