I am writing this review to document an extremely unprofessional and misleading experience with…read moreCable Dahmer Buick GMC of Independence. I purchased a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 for over $91,000. During the sale, the salesman, Frank, told me I was not allowed to use my grandfather's legitimate GMC employee discount, despite my grandfather working over 40 years on the GMC production line and the benefit extending to family. I was pressured to pay full price under the claim that multiple buyers were "ready to buy." Frank also advised me to purchase the truck personally and later transfer it to my roofing company, a process he suggested repeating for future business vehicles. That transaction alone took over six hours. Just over a year later, I returned and purchased two more vehicles: * 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali ($10,000 down) * 2024 GMC Yukon XL Denali ($5,000 down) That transaction took over eight hours. I followed all maintenance requirements to protect my extended warranty. When my Sierra 2500's heater and mirror sensor modules failed, what should have been a routine warranty repair turned into a 27-day delay. I received inconsistent information and was eventually told the repairs were denied because I supposedly had the "wrong" extended warranty. I was never offered a commercial warranty at purchase. Only after weeks of back-and-forth, and after stating I would leave a detailed review, did finance manager Mike ("Big Mike") agree to upgrade the warranty and cover the repairs. During the delay, I lost a $16,000 roofing job because my work truck was unavailable. I requested reasonable good-faith remediation (tires and brake pads) due to the financial loss. I have received no response. I was also told by Mike that if I left a bad review, he would leave one on my company's page -- an unprofessional and retaliatory response. Despite being a repeat customer who spent well into six figures, I was met with poor communication, misinformation, and zero accountability. Contractors and business owners should be aware of how warranty issues are handled after the sale. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.

I've had good experiences with this dealership in the services department. They have never tried to…read moreoversell me on anything, they would just tell me what was wrong and fix it. the few times they have had to fix my car (and I mean only a few over the last decade) for the most part it stayed fixed. When it didn't I took it back and true to their word, they didn't charge me to fix what they thought they had the first time around. In the past, when I've had my cars worked on at other shops, something kept happening with my car, or they would keep charging me for what they were supposed to the first time around. Maybe I was young and naive and didn't know better. Yes, I hear some of the people who have harped on me to learn how to maintain my own own vehicle, (which I didn't have until I was older) so, when I can't do it myself, they have earned my trust that they will do right by me. Therefore I always leave this place feeling better and a satisfied customer.

SUMMARY: If you are looking to buy a new KIA because of their affordability and their 100k mile…read moredrivetrain warranty DON'T. KIA allows for up to 1qt of oil loss per 1000 miles and will waste your time with oil consumption tests until you are out of warranty. I purchased my 2022 Kia Soul new here several years back. I have gotten my vehicle serviced here exclusively and have had the following issues: -Backup camera went out causing an electrical short making my gauges and lights go haywire - fixed under warranty (happened under 60k miles) -Camshaft was replaced due to vehicle running out of oil and throwing up a check engine light - fixed under warranty (happened around 55k miles) My main issue has been OIL CONSUMPTION. Since my camshaft issue around 55k miles, my engine has completely ran out of oil between each oil change that I get every 5k miles. I have been informed that it is within KIA spec to lose up to 1 qt of oil per 1000 miles. My engine is 4.5qt which means it is within spec to lose all of the oil in my engine within 5000 miles. I have had 3 sets of oil consumption tests, 2 rounds each, from 55k miles to 89k miles. The first round of each set, my engine has been found to burn more than 1 qt of oil. After the first test, they keep the vehicle overnight and perform a fuel system clean and have me come back the next day to pick it up just to have to come back in another 1k miles for a second test. When I come back for the second test my vehicle is conveniently found to be burning less than a quart of oil. The issue is my vehicle continues to run out of oil between each oil change so either this fuel system clean is a band-aid to pass the test, or the results of the second test are being forged. After doing some googling, I found that this is a common business practice by KIA in general, not just this dealership. As I am nearing the end of my warranty it seems like I am going to have to continue to top off the engine between oil changes or get them every 3k miles instead. That being said, the ladies that ring you up and set up the rentals are both very nice and do a great job.

The other was the price we could expect, if we went to the trouble of advertising the vehicle for sale and sold it to an individual buyer. Of course the price for sale to dealers is lower, since they want to be able to mark it up and sell it to individuals. Blue Book also lists a price at which they themselves would be willing to buy the car. That price was approximately the dealer price. We then entered the information about the SUV on Carvana online. They said they would pay the price that Blue Book said we could get if we went to the trouble of advertising the vehicle for sale and sold it to an individual buyer. What could be better than that? The best price without the hassle. We chose the Carvana offer. The next day, one of their representatives came to our house, checked out the vehicle and paperwork, and bought the car by sending money directly to our bank account. I could not be happier.
