We purchased a vehicle from then a few years back. Were told clean title, no accidents etc. Perhaps there were no accidents, but very soon we started having issues indicative of flood damage. The upholstery on the top started coming down as soon as the humidity started in the spring. There were water leaks that caused the floor board to be soaked every time it rained. An expensive module needed to be replaced within a few weeks of purchasing. Someone asked if we had purchased their extended warranty and were shocked that it hadn't been offered. Pretty sure we know why it wasn't offered. Was interesting experience and it taught us to shop elsewhere. read more

Went here yesterday to look at a car . Test drove the car and decided I wanted to make an offer . Went inside the dealership to meet the deal maker . Young guy in an office . We sit down and I made a very fair offer on this car . You would ya have thought I cut his leg off. To make a long story short this place doesn't negotiate . The margins are too tight and like we've all Heard our entire life , " I'm not making any money on this deal" they like to say ! Needless to say we found the same vehicle but newer with more options for basically same price a few hours later at another local dealership . Their loss IMO ! Let me first start off by saying that I would give Reynolds Automotive no stars if possible. Yesterday evening I drove to the dealership with my 4 year old daughter to test drive a 2016 AWD Traverse. I was met by a salesman, Rodger. Rodger was very pleasant. I asked him about the CARFAX report that I had purchased prior to coming in, as the report notated minor damage. He stated he didn't know anything about any damage. I was still optimistic, as minor damage on a CARFAX usually implies only cosmetic issues. He was accommodating by allowing me to transfer my daughters car seat from my car into the Traverse and then met us at a nearby gas station in order to put some gas in this Traverse before I officially test drove it. Fast forward to after the test drive. I liked the car a lot and I asked if I could come by first thing Saturday morning and drive it to Shore tire for an inspection. I got the usual salesperson response that "they had another interested buyer" and that he hoped I would keep in mind that sometimes mechanics will bring up "problems" that can occur after certain mileage and age. Of course I understood that. No big deal. I let Rodger know that my cousin was the mechanic and that's why I wanted to take it to him. I will say, Todd, the owner, came out and looked at my car for a trade in value. They gave me an estimate. It seemed fair to me. I was honestly surprised that he offered me what he did for my car, so I didn't feel the need to negotiate further. I already had an approved loan from my bank and everything was still within what I was comfortable paying. Upon inspecting the Traverse, the mechanic at Shore asked me to come out to the garage while the car was still on the lift. He showed me where all left subframe bolts had been removed recently which lead him to believe that it had some recent work done. There was a small oil leak, it needed new wiper blades, new front brakes/rotors/footers as they were about 90% worn down, left inner tie rod needed replacement which would mean it needed an alignment after that. Total cost before tax; $663.91. The said mechanic, did talk to me about "problems" they see with these cars, but that was just for my personal knowledge. So, I took the car back and showed Rodger the itemized invoice for the work that immediately needed to be done and I asked if they could lower the price by $725, I would buy the car. Rodger also, said that the mechanic was correct about the sub frame as they recently had to replace the torque converter (a major part of the transmission). Soooo, when I asked about damage the day before, this wasn't brought up???? THEN, the owner, Todd comes into the office and tells me he can't do that. I was going to leave. Then he asked me to wait and tells me that he will do the work and "rotate" the rotors as "he" didn't think they needed replacing to which I responded "no", that I would be having my mechanic do the work as it's my money I'm putting into the car to which his response was, "don't tell me that, it's my name on this building."Then he goes on to tell me that "he's not making any money off this deal" and I cannot tell you how many times I got told "to calm down" which given the situation and Todd's attitude, which would equate to that of a toddler, was pretty calm. You would have thought I shot the man! I mean this is ridiculous. I couldn't get out of there soon enough. Even if he agreed to take off the $725 that I asked for, I couldn't have done business with such a person. He pulled every sleazy car salesman trick in the book. Not to mention, acting this way in front of my daughter. This place is inept and dishonest in my opinion. I have been in management myself and even when you don't like what someone is asking of you and you, as a manager, have to say no to a client/customer, there is no excusable reason to act like a two year old throwing a temper tantrum. read more

We're a growing family that has been looking for a minivan for a few months, and despite the current state of the world we needed one sooner rather than later. We had our eye on a minivan that looked like a good deal and Scott let me take all the time I needed to look it over, test drive it, take it to a shop for an inspection, and do the repairs that were recommended. I just bought a car from this place this weekend, and I was really impressed. They treated my wife with respect, and treated her like a real customer, instead of just directing there questions just to me. Scott worked very hard to get us the best percentage on our loan, and the price was fair. They also offered me a warranty. The warranty was based off time, and not mileage, we purchased this at a great price as well. They also offer a awesome service book, that offers many major services for free, or at very low cost. We got the service book for free. I would recommend stopping by to check this place out, it's a real hidden treasure. They don't sale junk, and they are priced reasonably. Mark helped me pick out the car, and was not pushy at all. Scott helped with the purchase, again low percentage, and cost. He also worked with my insurance, I had totaled my car by a deer hit a week earlier. read more

***Original Post Below*** These guys continue to amaze me. I bought a car from them a year ago, along with an outside warranty. The warranty company denied a claim. Scott found out, stepped in, and is assisting me in making sure the issue is covered. THAT is customer service at its finest. These guys made buying a car simple, easy, and fun. I searched high and low and had visited over 20 used car lots before finding Reynolds Automotive. Todd and Scott are doing a great job at changing the name of used car sales. They did not haggle, push, or manipulate the way used car salesmen often do. They are both genuine and sweet and there to serve their customers. When I arrived, the car I wanted had been taken off the lot because Scott's fiancé's car was in the shop. A quick phone call and the problem was resolved, I test drove the car within thirty minutes. They got me a loan with a better APR than my bank could offer me and our entire transaction was done within two hours. They loaned me their computer as I needed to obtain an insurance policy. The entire time I was there, they just chatted with me like we were old friends. I would buy ANY car from them before ever going to any other dealer again. They really valued my business, it was not just about selling another car to them, it was about meeting a customer's need and providing the best possible service. read more

My husband and I just bought a Subaru Forester from Scott, and it was the easiest car-buying experience we've ever had. Their prices are some of the best in KC...and I was looking for a month online for a good deal. They let us have it inspected by a mechanic of our choice before proceeding with the buying process which made buying a car a lot less stressful. We got a great interest rate from one of the credit unions they work with (but I think you can finance through anyone.) Scott took the time to get all of the documents ready before we came in to sign the paperwork, which saved us all time. He even worked with us on the price to account for minor maintenance (fluids, tires, and alignment.) There was no running numbers back and forth with anyone to get it approved, since Scott does it all, which made talking numbers incredibly simple. The day we went in to sign the paperwork, we were leaving with the car in under an hour. Assuming we have no issues with our car (and I'll come back to amend this review if we do), I will be purchasing my next car from Reynolds Automotive later this year. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the market for a used car. Edit: We did end up buying another car at Reynolds (from Todd this time.) It was also a really fast and quick process. We recently bought a 2011 Honda Odyssey from Reynolds. We were really happy with our experience working with both Todd and Scott. We stopped by once to take a van for a spin but decided it wasn't quite the right one for us. I was interested in looking in a Van they had this weekend. When we spoke with the owner he came off as very smug and disinterested in our business. He also lied to us saying that he paid the exact amount the van was listed for and he would be out money if he went down on the price. Why would I do business with a person who lied and it wasn't even a good lie! Come to find out they had someone else they knew looking to buy the van we just drove. For a business this small, you would think they would be very customer oriented. An hour after I left, they were trying to sell me the van a woman just traded in. I just recently bought a used car from Scott and Todd and the experience was great! I actually went to see the vehicle twice and then took about three weeks to go out of town and didn't receive the weekly/sometimes daily phone calls from them like I did the other dealers trying to get me to buy from them. When I did talk to them when I got back, they were super easy to work with and very personable. I didn't feel like they were trying to make a ton of money off of us like I did with the other dealers. I liked that they were the only two I ever worked with and didn't have to go through a rep then a sales manager and the financial people in order to get a good deal.
