Can't say enough about John at Tech Photo. We thought our large, priceless family portrait photo…read morewas ruined from chemical spray, scratches and fading over the past 40 years. I found Tech Photo old school, in local yellow pages. Made an appointment and he explained everything in detail what he would do to try to bring back as much of the original as possible. He showed me samples of his recent work and I was duly impressed with the before and after. So I left him with our portrait and went on vacation. I came back in about 10 days later to see the results. We saw colors that we had forgotten. Horrible chemical smears across faces from polish spray (photo was not under glass when "glass" was sprayed to be cleaned!) completely restored as if just taken. Picture was reprinted on much higher quality archival type photo paper, not likely to fade for at least 50 years. I highly recommend John at Tech Photo to anyone who needs to restore or touch up precious photos. He does a lot of commercial work too, with up to 6 foot tall by almost unlimited width canvases also. Then a moment later, i find out because I spent a couple extra minutes trying to figure out what to print, they were timing me so they can charge me for using the computer. Seriously? I didn't even notice a warning near the computer telling me any of this. So, they charged me $3 top of what I had to spend on the printouts. I should've just gone to the library. Also, every single individual employed at this location has absolutely no social skills whatsoever. They ask you want you want and tell you what to do. They're just order processors that act like robots. Im not lying. Update: So i just moved to Florida and visited a local UPS Store. Let me tell you all something. Maybe its something in New Jersey that employees just dont care. Maybe they dont even get paid alot to motivate themselves but you have no idea what you're missing here. I dont know if anyone has seen the film Pleasantville. Its like that. Everything is perfect. Employees help you immediately when you walk in like an Apple store. They ask you how your day is going. Im serious! Yes UPS will get your packages out flawlessly but next time you walk in to this location, ask yourself, "Was that enough?"

He estimated $50 for boxing and $25 for UPS Ground shipping, bringing the total to about $75. When I arrived at the store shortly after, he pulled out an oversized box--much larger than necessary--and suddenly quoted me $130. I asked if he could trim the box down since it was at least 18 inches too tall, but he said he couldn't adjust the cost in his system. Then, he added that he hadn't yet factored in the charges for the box, packing materials, and labor--another $110. In just minutes, with the same package dimensions, the price jumped from $75 to $240. The store recently changed ownership, and it was clear that Mr. Patel had no intention of honoring the quote he had just given me. Whether it was a misquote, a lack of business knowledge, or just dishonesty, the experience was frustrating. I'd recommend finding another UPS store--this one is not worth the hassle.

It was also clear to me that this business cares about the quality of the product they produce. My contract was for a thinner material sign, but after reviewing the site, the owner decided to upgrade the material to give more durability, which I know cost him more than anticipated. Their quality of product and reliability is why they are still in business while many other sign companies have closed during the pandemic. Highly recommend!
