The prices here are very fair and they also buy cards for a fair deal too. The staff are courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. You can tell everyone there cares about the hobby and loves what they do! As a customer I can feel that each time I stop by looking for product or even just to share my hits with them! They hold tournaments and are truly a vital part of the TCG community. Especially in these days with card shortages everywhere, these guys have pulled through. They were still working on their online shop when I went in, but that's ok! My first time walking in I was greeted by the sports card workers, and they politely showed me the side for Pokémon. Amazing!! Boxes and boxes of stocked up ETB's, promo boxes, and tins. It was just like being a kid again! The places was bustling on a Saturday evening, and there were many kids in the shop buying things as well. After a sale, I couldn't help but notice the sales attendant threw in some extra cards in for free! As well as for me once I told them it was my first time coming in! After some recommendations for a new collector, I walked out with a Celebrations ETB (Very hard to find for a decent price nowadays!) and a couple free card storage boxes as well. An amazing store, with an inviting atmosphere for new collectors and players alike!! Will highly recommend this store in the future!

We had stopped by Kent for a meal and decided to check out The Game Shelf as they weren't too far. The parking is huge and shared with a lot of businesses and it was Friday evening, so it took a little bit of time to find parking. Once we parked, we entered into the store and were greeted politely by the cashier. There was a Magic the Gathering event going on and it looks like their events calendar always has something going on each day which is great. They even did Final Fantasy TCG which we have yet to see anywhere else and we have been to card shops in several parts of Washington. They had quite a massive selection of wares from desk mats, card holders, sleeves, deck boxes, board games, dice, and much more. We bought a few things and as we were checking out, the cashier mentions to us about their reward system which is a character sheet that you can fill out and there are six slots that they will add up from each amount you spent. Depending on how much you spend will determine your discount which I think is really neat and unique from other card shops. It rewards you no matter how much you spend rather than a point system that could take more than a few purchases to accumulate. I also asked if they were dog friendly and they are, they just ask that your dog is well-behaved, don't make a fuss or bother other patrons, and to clean up after them.

I felt bad because the person working there was clearly chilling and I felt bad to disturb their morning relaxing time before they started work. They still greeted me and were friendly and kind. Helped me choose the first D&D book I need to begin my adventures. Super excited and absolutely love this place. Highly recommend. Every Friday at 7pm is D&D night with a group who are willing to teach you:) they have events and other games there as well that people come to play. They have a fridge with drinks as well for purchase and games you can play off the shelf.
