We browsed for about 5 minutes before Doug came by and gave us the rundown on her options. She settled on one quickly and Doug had her out back on the bike for a test ride. He had her try a couple of other options to make sure she knew what she wanted. We bought her bike and I had my own bike in for a tune up the same day. What a great experience. Thanks DTFBS! The bike frame itself had some design/manufacturing quirks to it, and he was more than willing to help figure it out for me. He was also extremely nice to both be and my child (who was fidgety and extra energetic at times), and was determined to fix the issue. I had to bring it back again (the quick release with my bike + trailer hitch was odd) and he solved the problem immediately! He even took it for a test ride with my kid in the trailer to make sure it worked As a single parent, I am so happy to have a shop like this that is transparent and solution oriented. I know he meant well but he's more of a blunt type of person. Minor tune up cost $40 (out the door) - which includes oil gears, check brakes, and air (maybe replace inner tube) I brought a bike knowing it will need repair but he kept talking it down - ok dude i already know but basically he didn't want to repair the bike if it went over the price of $75 because he had used bikes that he was trying to push on us. That's one thing i didn' t like! The place sales more high-end bike priced over $100 up to $400 - he doesn't sale second hand bikes.

I've been trying to get a hold of these guys all week for a repair on my foreign bike. Between them not returning phone calls or just not answering their phone repeatedly they must be either really really busy or just have really poor customer service. I'm guessing the latter. I began calling other shops in the area and realized that DB's prices were alot steeper for comparative work. I also found that depending on who I talked to at DBs, that the price fluctuated for their services that should've been a flat rate and were elsewhere. I felt that they really didn't want or need my business. Sorry to say but I'm done with them.
