Taxes Plus was hired to handle our business and personal tax services. We received notices from the…read moreIRS and state agencies stating that our businesses' taxes had not been filed. When this information was presented to the owner of Taxes Plus, we were told that it was a problem with the monies being misapplied by the agencies and that the monies had indeed been paid and that they were on top of the situation. We were also told that this was happening to many of their other clients and that the agencies were way behind in processing payments so it would be awhile before there would be a resolution. This appeared to be a legitimate explanation, so when we continued to receive notices, we would discuss them with Taxes Plus and we continued to be told that they were aware and on top of the situation. Eventually an IRS agent showed up for collections. When we hired another firm to help us get to the bottom of the situation, it was discovered that Taxes Plus had been untruthful with us all along regarding what was actually happening. Taxes Plus had not been filing our taxes after all, which resulted in us owing not only the taxes due, but penalties, interest and fees as well; amounting to tens of thousands of dollars of debt being owed immediately to curtail the debt accumulation. To this day Taxes Plus has acknowledged no wrong-doing, no apology and no remorse. After numerous attempts to resolve the situation amicably, we have resorted to taking legal action against Taxes Plus in hopes of rectifying the situation to a satisfactory conclusion. The owner of Taxes Plus is not a CPA, so potential clients need to understand this in order to gauge what level of risk they want to take with their finances. From what we're able to tell, the State of Wisconsin basically only governs CPAs and the manner in which CPAs conduct their business practices. There doesn't appear to be much in the way of protection of consumers when working with non-CPAs. A simple online search will show that we are not the only customers of Taxes Plus to experience their lies and/or fraud.

When Jackie and her crew came the first time to do a…read moredeep cleaning, they did a great job so we hired them to come every 2 weeks The service started getting worse every time they came. They wouldn't pick up toys and put them away, they would throw all toys, along with socks, trash, baby bottles into random toy bins regardless of the labels, wouldn't clean the sink if a dirty dish was left in it. Then Jackie tried to charge me extra for "organizing", which is what she called the tossing of toys and garbage into the bins. They never came on time, would text about coming an hour early and show up before we could respond "no" or they'd be an hour late with no communication. Twice her workers used bleach which I'm allergic too, I had to air out my whole apartment and couldn't lay in my bed until late at night - I'm disabled, so that was a huge problem - she would never apologize, she would just say "it's okay, don't worry". We had a second deep cleaning done and it was no different than our regular cleaning - nothing like the first deep cleaning, which was good - and she charges triple for that. The staff always pretend they don't understand englishThey don't communicate or ask questions. The last time her crew was here, I don't even know what they did, dust was left everywhere, a blanket and toys that they had knocked off the bed were just shoved into a corner. I had even put all the recycling and garbage into a cart for them to take to the trash, but they left it. They didn't make my grandson's bed or vacuum my room or the couch. When I contacted Jackie, she would not respond all day until I sent her a venmo request for my money back, she said, "Hi Simone! I have a new girl and she was probably unsupervised. Don't worry, I will return your money and it is better than not offering you my services anymore. Thanks for letting me know and sorry for the bad timing." What? There were 2 other regular workers with her and I thought one of them was the supervisor, plus every room in the house had something wrong with it. I figured that she would just make sure to come with next time to supervise and make sure the job was done right. 2 weeks has passed and I texted to see when she was coming. She ignored me for two days, then after I told her I'd leave a bad review, she responded with this text, "Hi Simone! sorry. I sent you a message. I returned your full money and replied that it was better for you to use my services so that there would be no inconvenience for you." And....Super reasonable with quick turn around. This is a no frills shop, straight to business and results. Employees all very helpful.

My laptop's power supply wasn't charging because of a bad cord and I didn't want to wait for…read moreshipping. So I called and then zipped over to Wisconsin PC. We both wore masks, and he took my cord and found me a replacement. We tried it out on my laptop. The cord is longer and sturdier than my previous one (bonus!). If I need any PC service, I'll be back!
