May 29, 2024 at 5pm a tow truck driver from this company, with a car in tow from accident, was driving in front of me like a maniac! The rear back window of the car in tow was broken and pieces of glass were flying out and hitting my windshield and car, which only has 5,000 miles on it. The car in tow was so damaged it should have been on a flat bed truck and not dragged on two tires. You could hear the tires scrapping on the fenders and bumpers. I quickly changed lanes and tried to signal the tow truck to pull over but he ignored me and then to my bewilderment he went through a red light. I managed to catch up to him at the next light and honked at him and waved to him to pull over and looked over and laughed at me and flew through another red light. This was actually the third red light he went through by now. I managed to snap a photo as I stopped at the red light. This was right in front of the Irvine Police Department and I'm sure it's all captured on video. I have photos too. The IPD should never have let the tow driver load this damaged car on anything but a flat bed truck from the accident scene at UCI. The company needs to be held responsible for hiring a driver who has willful disregard for traffic laws and other people's property. My vehicle has some damage. The roads were extremely busy at 5pm yesterday and someone could have been killed. read more

BEWARE!!! THEY SIPHON THE GAS OUT OF YOUR TANK! My nephew's car was involved in an accident and was towed to MetroPro Irvine location. Picked after a day and tried to siphon the gas out of the wrecked car (was filled at Costco 2 hours prior to the accident) and the tank was already siphoned empty. We were able to only siphon out maybe 4-5oz of gas. It was supposed to have at least 10-12 gallons of gas. Beware of these crooks. That should be illegal for them to do this. We paid over $700 for tow and 2 days of storage. IPD should do something about them. read more

I was really disappointed in the way they were not honest about pricing. The woman on the phone told me that a charge will be refunded once proof of registration is shown, but when I called back the next business day to get the refund, they acted like they had never heard of that policy. Sad for a business to charge so much, take advantage of people who make honest mistakes, and then lie about pricing. Additionally, the woman on the phone was very rude to my fiancé, yelled at him, and then hung up on him when he was trying to find out more information on pricing. A reasonable request when they charge over $600 for towing on a weekend. When I called back to try to resolve the issue, she was incredibly crass. It would do this company good to participate in empathy training as her behavior was not acceptable, especially for people who are being put in an unfortunate situation. She even made sure to inform the person giving us our car that we were "rude" to her. Again, unprofessional, but I guess not surprising considering how she conducted herself over the phone. read more

absolutely terrible experience being towed for parking in private property that i rent from. the people towed my car about 4 miles and had it for all of 1 hour and that was $370 to get it out. what a ripoff. they should feel ashamed that they make their money off ripping people off for minor mistakes. unforgiving and shameful. read more

Rude rude rude rude... Every employee I have dealt with at this facility has been nothing but rude... I also do not appreciate being lied to by the customer service department that you have to call for an after hours appointment to pickup your own vehicle... One person says one thing... Another person says another... By the time it's done and said, the bill price has gone up by at least $100 from when you started on your quest to pay for your vehicle to get it off of their stinking lot... Not to mention the fact that if you have a tow company come out to tow it with the requested flatbed tow truck, they will override it and put it on a truck that drags your vehicle all over the ground... I hope to the glory of God that I NEVER have to deal with these shysters ever again!!! I was rear ended, my car was totaled and this is where my car was unfortunately impounded to this cess pool. Initially they wouldn't allow me to see my car and get my belongings out I had to have my insurance agent convince them it was my car another day even though I had my paperwork. When I finally got authorization, the people who work there were complete assholes. The last thing I want to deal when getting my stuff after my car was totaled, is a prick who's unhappy cause he's bald and sucks to try to bitch at me and be rude. Honestly, F this place. -10 stars. WATCH OUT for this place!!! My husband got into a car accident, Irvine PD referred this place to impound my car. It was literally two days before my insurance company picked up my car to drop off to the auto shop. When i went to claim my items my purse was stolen out of my car all my items from the trunk was moved to the front seat. WHY? I called my claim adjuster and he said he did not touch any of the items. So that leads to the impound yard!! I spoke to Mike that works at the impound yard, he had a bad attitude and just said its not their fault! I asked why they moved my items from the trunk to the front. He stated that we are not allow to touch your stuff. Then why is my stuff moved from the trunk to the front seat. He then said Oh, i will have to call you back so he can research. JUST HORRIBLE PLACE!!! THEY WILL STEEL YOUR ITEMS. I will file police report with Irvine police department, and hopefully they will STOP using this horrible place!!! read more

NOT LEAVING IMPOUND REVIEW.Review is for Customer Service affiliated with AAA battery service. I had a dead battery on my car and they came out to meet me in Newport. Tamer explained the reason why my battery wasn't able to be jumped and went out of his way to detach battery connections and clean posts, and gave me suggestions to discuss with Pep Boys as battery was still under warranty. If negative was a rating, I would rate them. I was out of town and was towed because road work notices were issued while I was out of town. I contacted AAA to have the vehicle moved. Unfortunately the city dispatched a tow to remove the vehicle. While Metropro was in transit I was notified by the city and contacted AAA to move the vehicle. They dispatched the same tow truck company. Instead of Metropro helping me and classifying this as a AAA tow. They towed and impounded the car for a few additional days until I returned. I will not do business with Metropro and pass my horrible experience with them to you. If need another tow from AAA I will require any other company but them. Metropro acquired Irvine Tow. read more

I had an excellent experience with them this morning. I had accidentally dropped my radiator cap into my engine compartment and called AAA to get it towed to a shop to retrieve it. So I had the unfortunate incident that my car got towed by this horrible place. My wallet and identification were in my car and they towed it. I reasoned with these idiots that worked at the place and said I just want my wallet in the car, because I just don't want anyone to steal it. They said no you have to prove you are the owner of the car. I don't need the car really I just want my wallet with an ID that has my face on it. How can anything go wrong with that? They told me no one is going to steal anything because they got a guy watches it and cameras 24 hours. I still don't trust anything with them. When I got my car back, my brand new GPS was gone. Explain that to me please. Of all things to get lost... anything cheap didn't get lost but remained in the car... why did the most expensive things all disappeared? O that include my expensive sunglasses too. I talked to some lady who talks like she works for the county jail or something. Rude as hell. If you wanna tow, just call triple A. I wish Yelp had an option to give NO STAR since these people do not deserve any. Unfortunately I was in a car accident, the cops called these people to tow my car away. In midst of the stress of situation, I did not pay attention to who took my car. I was given a card and was told to call them to release my car to the insurance company later. After I get a call from my insurance company to give authorization to these people to release my car, I took the afternoon off to go and clean my car and do the appropriate paperwork. I get to their Gothard, Huntington Beach location, the two men who were working there at the time were rushing to close the store and go to the airport at 3pm which I was told they close at 6. To get me out of there as fast as possible, they let me go to my car without checking my identification (I could have been anyone and could stole everything). I asked them what they need from me to release the car and they said I am all set and they will take the next steps with my insurance company. Well not really, I get a very upset call on Thursday morning (3 days later) from my insurance company asking why I have not taken the time to resolve this with MetroPro and warned that if I do not finish the paperwork that day they would not pay for my storage anymore. I had to take another day off work to drive there and make sure everything is done right to release my car. After money were settled and paid out, the insurance company did not pay me the 3 days extra that my car was parked there and MetroPro did not take responsibility for not doing their job right. Would leave 0 stars if I could. I got t'boned in June. Car towed by NBPD by Metro Pro. Even though I formally released car to State Farm two days after, Metro Pro didn't advise insurance company about that. Ended up keeping car 7 days -- which they say is 8 days. So then they put a lien on the car. Got the notice from DMV and immediately contacted them. Was assured that it would be removed. Guess what? Just got off phone with DMV to figure out why I haven't received my registration renewal notice -- Metro Pro never turned in the paperwork and DMV shows lien still on my car -- despite fact car released and my insurance company paid all fees! When I called in to figure out what was happening, the guy who answered was completely rude, said they didn't place a lien (really? I am looking at the paper that shows you did) and when I called him on it, he put me through to a message machine for someone. Left a stern message saying this needs to be resolved today. We'll see if I get a call. Local PD's should stop working with this company -- completely unprofessional! read more
