I needed a tow for my car and called Hagerty so they worked with this great company, Father and Son Towing, to get my car safely transported to the shop about 90 miles away. Their service was fast, the tech knew how to handle my vintage car with car and quickly got it to the destination with text and phone call updates. I'd definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

Rating is actually ZERO stars. This business was recommended to me & my niece through carmax car care. via carmax car care, the tow was paid for as required at the time of collision Friday 9/5. It is understood the business they towed the car to would be closed until Monday 9/8. It is also understood that a storage fee may have to be paid to release the car to the collision repair company of choice (this case RMD Collision who has helped us so much today before even receiving the vehicle). however, after showing up before noon to the storage location they took the vehicle to in Whittier on Imperial Hwy, and after much running around all day because of many excuses like "we're closed for lunch" &/or "someone will be there in another 10 min") this business became difficult to deal with and so a call was made via CHP to the Norwalk police dept to help release the vehicle to the owner (my niece) where they advertised being "open" from 8a-5p M-F and it was nearing 3:30pm before they were willing to accept payment so that the car could be taken to the collision repair shop. When asked for an itemized invoice, after it is understood storage was only supposed to be $155 per day for a max of 4 days (Friday to Monday) this business decided to charge a fee totaling $1135. they also didn't provide an itemized invoice and instead through their online payment system (square) entered it as "custom amount" in the bill summary for $1135. According to RMD, where Eddie the guy who will oversee our repairs for my niece's car, was verbally told she was being charged for the tow again (that was already paid for at time of collision through her carmax car care plan in place) as well as storage and a pull out of the ditch fee. Funny that this business can tell the repair shop that information but can't provide the actual owner who had to patron their business through carmax the itemized bill to support the charge of $1135. It is also funny they charged a pull out of ditch fee when we have a video as well as many pictures supporting the fact that the car was just parked on the side of the road near the orange crush junction of highways and one can clearly see it was not in a ditch. in fact there is guardrails next to that entire area of highway for merge lanes and freeway passes. If any self respecting individual values both their time & money I would never recommend this service company to anyone. As it is, the charge is being disputed at the bank level as well as a complaint being made to the better business bureau with a civil suit being filed in OC next. When patrons ask for an itemized bill as well as charges per day the business should be able to provide that patron with an itemized bill for same as it is needed for many things like insurance purposes as well as validation of charges incurred. Instead, this business chose to enter a "custom amount" also not being clear to the patron & owner of the vehicle how much the charges per day in fact are/were. IMO, ppl should save themselves the time & unnecessary headache to find a better tow company. Like for starters an honest one. This one isn't worth the headache or unnecessary expense paid because they were upset that someone needed to call the police to speed the day along where much time (approx. 4 hours) was wasted for an issue that could've been handled in ten minutes. especially on site where both the collision tow repair service and owner of the vehicle needing to be towed were waiting for the release of the vehicle at the time of this occurrence. Call Mosca's Towing instead. They're friendly, patient, transparent, & extremely helpful. Especially in a crisis unlike this company was.

I needed a tow from a yard to a shop and Father and Son Towing were quick to respond with upfront and very fair rates.

Would give 5 stars for DTS staff customer service but had to knock it to 3 because they should have been more responsible in confirming signage that it was a good tow. Situation sucked, but the staff was very professional in assisting us in returning our vehicle.

Absolutely terrible experience. The customer service was awful, and the staff was incredibly rude…read moreand unprofessional. We arrived at the exact SAME time as the tow truck like literally behind the truck , just BEFORE they pulled the car into the gate, but they refused to let us retrieve it. Even though we arrived before 5:00 p.m, they still charged us an after-hours fee. We ended up paying over $540--almost $600 to get our car back, even though it had been there for less than an hour. The charges felt completely unreasonable. To make things even worse, the employee who processed our payment , said this to my friends while she's pulling out her car , "she's not too smart huh " as if he was calling her stupid. That was extremely disrespectful and completely unprofessional. My friend was visibly upset and crying, and instead of showing any compassion, the employee told her that there was "no need to be angry." They showed absolutely no empathy or understanding for the situation. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. People don't know what someone else is going through or what their financial situation is. They don't know if those $600 were money you desperately needed for something else or if losing that amount completely throws off your monthly budget. Instead of treating people with kindness and respect during an already stressful situation, they make the experience even worse and treat it like it's something to laugh about.
