The room itself has four comfy recliners covered in blankets. He works on the elbow to finger tips, knees to toes areas, and maybe a little on the face. After inserting a few needles, he leaves you to rest for about 30 - 45 minutes. The office is quiet (barely notice the trains), dimly lit, and extremely comfortable. As a community acupuncture office, payment is done on a sliding scale. You decide between $15 - $35/visit (drops to $10 per additional visit within any single week). I also get receipts as acunpuncture is FSA-eligible. I'm still pretty new to acupuncture and have only visited twice. I figured I'd try it for 6 weeks and see how it goes. So far, I'm a big fan of the nap and relaxation time that goes with these visits. It's been great for the mid-week struggle, when Friday seems so far away!
