I wanted to highlight Nelson, one of the therapists at Larose. I am a long-time client and see Jon (who is always great) regularly. I try different therapists from time to time. I recently had a 60-minute massage with Nelson. He was great at medium/hard pressure and had a very Zen vibe. He used hot stones a bit more than most, and I felt like I was I a spa. Give him a try! The massage and the therapist were great, but LaRose's prices have nearly doubled since 2020. With the previous owners, this was considered more of a medical massage with no frills atmosphere, kind of like an office setting. They did not accept gratuities. Now they are charging spa prices with absolutely no aesthetic and accepting tips. I fully expect to tip but if you're going to charge med spa prices, then you need to have the full experience to match. The LaRose this community has known is no longer. Had another massage with a different therapist named Kate. She was very good and I felt so relaxed after the massage. She asked about any issues I was having and made sure I was comfortable thru out - whether pressure was too light or heavy. Jazmin worked on me and was so receptive to my feedback, my questions, and was super knowledgeable on all of my muscle and tension questions. The facility is taking great COVID precautions: they took my temperature, gave me screening questions, Jazmin wore a mask the entire time, as did I. This type of appointment is strongly recommended for the active person who can't seem to get ahead of stiffness or inflammation on their own. I had an appointment for a massage, showed up early & was greeted & then after about 5 minutes of waiting I was asked WHY I was there. Blonde receptionist FORGOT to put my appointment in the computer! I was in dire pain & they were so casual about this mishap. A man who appeared to be a manager showed up, no apology, & said mistakes happen & asked me to rebook on another day. There were 3 massage therapists standing around. I have been going to LaRose in Milford for years now and they're very good. I have seen many different massage therapists and they all take the time to talk to you about problem areas before the massage. It is run almost like a clinic (so they don't allow tips) which takes out the confusion of how much to leave etc. I have never had a bad massage there in all the years I've been going. I went for a massage because I thought it was a place I had been to previously, although it wasn't it was the best massage I have ever had. Stephanie was amazing. She talked to me about my problem areas before hand, and worked wonders on them. I am a hairstylist and was in a bad car accident so my entire back and shoulders are a mess. She really got in all the knots deep. I have nerve damage on one of my arms and mentioned to her that it is a very tender spot and to avoid which she did completely. She didn't talk through the massage which really allowed me to relax. The price there is very reasonable and she was absolutely fantastic. She spend plenty of time on my tough areas and made sure to massage everything else, even my feet face and ears! It was great. I already rebooked and will be going every two weeks. read more

I love LaRose! I have gone there for years and my husband even longer! People who have anything negative to say are usually the ones who's yelp reviews are riddled with negative reviews because there is simply no pleasing them. They are NOT unprofessional! They are so personable and the moment you walk in you feel an automatic drop in your blood pressure. Unlike overpriced spas, they actually have studied muscular therapy and can answer any question you have with a full and knowledgable response. These are quality therapists. They are sweet and kind and always remember you by name. I've had a variety of therapists here and I have no complaints about any of them. Larose is definitely the best place in town, and I have been there dozens of times. All the therapists were respectful, enthusiastic, and clearly loved their jobs. I am not a regular anymore as I have found that I now prefer chair massages, shiatsu, accupressure, and relaxation massages that hit my ASMR triggers. However, I still think highly of Larose, the owner, Dawnette, as well as her staff. And, a couple of the reviews here are beyond libelous! read more
