We are slowly walking into a post COVID world and Renew Massage completely lived up to its name. Specifically, Renew Massage was embodied by a wonderful masseuse named Tammy. She's a wonderful human as well. The front desk staff I interacted with were wonderful as well. The space is very comfortable and inviting. I arrived early and had 10-15 minutes to spend. The space is very calming and the vibe is mellow. This massage was all the things - pressure was a conversation we had, pain points noted, areas I didn't know were pain points were discovered, but not in an "oh hell" kinda way. I didn't specify a deep tissue massage and I'd imagine Tammy would not have classified it as such, but it was incredibly functional for me - it wasn't relaxing at all times, but a mixture. My body needed some smoothing out and Tammy delivered. I left feeling more relaxed and loose than I've felt in a long while. I will be booking repeat massages, as this massage was so nice. It is also impossible to get anyone there to answer the phone. I called 6 times in the last two days to reschedule my appointment and no one answered the phone until my actual appointment time. I still called one last time as a courtesy and what do you know, someone finally answered. I was then told in a rather snooty tone "We've been up front with the phones all day so we would have known if you called." Perhaps they should actually answer the phone if they are up front watching them ring.... I have had a mixed bag of technicians here. Mostly positive experiences, but their staff turns over very frequently and I've also had pretty sub par massages. I hope they turn it around because the facility is beautiful and there really isn't another nice spa on this side of town.
