This company is 100% excellent in dry wall repairs, painting, and customer service. They care very much about the customer's satisfaction with the results. When they were finished, our walls were gorgeous. Everything looked like new again. We had many different areas that needed repair and I wanted to be very careful in choosing the right company. From the initial call with the owner Jeremiah and one of his office assistant's, Julie, I could tell that they were personable and caring before they even knew anything about the job, and I received a very good price quote. Throughout each phase and after they were finished, Jeremiah made sure that I was satisfied with every detail. We needed a closet wall and large spot in the ceiling of the laundry room repaired that had water damage. (See photos.) We also had two walls with holes from the door handles and areas with nail pops. I felt confident in the drywaller's expertise within the first ten minutes when he inspected the areas and explained exactly how he would repair them. The nail pop areas were screwed in, so that it wouldn't happen again, the ceiling area was replaced and patched, and everything was completely smooth and blended. After the painter finished the next day, it was wonderful to see our house look new again. read more

Response time for quote was timely, the person arriving at the house for the quote was on time and professional. The cost was very similar to another company I was favoring but would not allow to do the work because the license and bonding information presented did not match the company name, so I chose Metzgers. The work was to repair 1) a long crack in the ceiling between large two rooms (this was the reason to get the work done), 2) two ceiling cracks between light fixtures, 3) crack in a wall between two windows (vertically). Ben (the work supervisor) appeared on the morning of the scheduled work day along with the person that was to perform the work. Ben said that person would perform the work and Ben would be by at the end of the day to review it, then he left. The work was performed, poorly, and the person that did the work left. The cracks were "gone" but in their place were high ridges, where it was very obvious "repairs" had been made. In addition, the texturing was very poorly done as well, as in, very little texturing at all. Ben never returned, He never called. He never returned my calls. The appointment was 12/11, before the holidays, and I needed to paint the ceiling because company was arriving 12/23. So because there had been no response, I sent an email 12/19, with multiple pictures documenting the poor work before I painted. I then painted and proceeded to enjoy the holidays. In my email I stated I would not be available to have the repairs fixed until after 1/7, so I did finally get a call to reschedule for 1/10, with a new repair person. Ben and a person that Ben said was the best in their company came out. Ben gave directions and left then the new person attempted to make the repairs look good. The main crack between the two rooms still is very obvious that repairs were done. After attempting three times to get the ceiling to look like the surrounding ceiling I surmised that they are just not capable of doing proper drywall repair. Ben did return at the end of the work (because of the quality dispute), but told me that was the best they could do. If I were a teacher and had to grade the quality of their work, I would give them a C- or D, barely acceptable by industry standards. I have other ceiling repairs to do but I will not be calling these guys back. Ever. read more

Is there an option for zero stars? Worst experience ever with Metzgers Painting Professionals, and I can tell you they are anything but professional. We hired them to do a full interior of our home. The workers left trash and food (cantaloupe rinds and half eaten tacos) all over the kitchen and on the floor. Not to mention they stole beer out of our refrigerator, but that might explain why the paint job was so terrible. My father-in-law asked if we had kindergartners paint the house, the work was so sloppy. The sinks and bathtub were used to clean paint, but they didn't bother to clean out the tubs after; handprints in paint were visible on the walls; there was overspray on the master shower and guest bathtub; there is still paint on our blinds, windows, AC vents, and even our back patio where there was some sort of paint explosion that sent white paint droplets all over the exterior of our home. They did a very poor job of getting enough paint on the walls to cover the prior paint, especially along the lines where the wall meets the ceiling. Although they told us there would be an on-site supervisor, it was very clear the first time the supervisor saw the work was during the walkthrough. Of course, the work was so bad they had to come back multiple times to correct the horrible job they did, including twice when they scheduled with us to fix the paint explosion on the back of our house but did not show up at all...no call, nothing. Go with Metzgers if you want the job to be really sloppy and if you want it to take three times as long as scheduled because they have to come out multiple times to fix all the mistakes. After the third time they came out to "fix" their mistakes we just said "no more". We're going to hire a "professional" to fix their negligence. read more

From start to finish Metzgers Painters went above and beyond my expectations. I had Metzgers paint my entire outside house and perimeter walls including a few inside walls and the kitchen. Their experts helped me pick colors, always arrived on time and were courteous and clean. The attention to detail during the prep work, stucco work and finally the painting were so good in my opinion I decided to create this yelp account to leave a review. The cleanup after the job was done quickly and efficiently. Being an engineer with high expectations, I don't understand the negative reviews as I can't think of one area where Metzgers disappointed or lacked in high quality. BUYER BEWARE! The painting experience with Metzgers was a NIGHTMARE! What was stated on the contract was not completed! Did not scrape the loose paint off and did not power wash. Their painter lied about performing the work and then they tried to justify a higher charge that was due to their painters lack of knowledge and work ethic! Not too mention, the work I had to miss to supervise the work which took 6 days instead of 3 because their painter tried to skip the prep work and rush through the walk through! The owner(Jeremiah) agreed that their painter did not do certain things yet was argumentative when accepting responsibility. Unless you want a horrible experience - find another painter! read more

Total scam. The polished sales guy talks up the service and then sends in two clowns with little concern for quality. They ran out of paint and made end meet by mixing two different colors and sheens of leftovers. When I saw part of wall looked different they told me it was the texture or the light and it was a lie. Once they decide they are done you better be sure you make them finish all the details promised and clean up properly as they are ready to take your money and run. The message here is "Buyer Beware". Their work is good, however, once you sign off they will NOT be back. We had them do the painting because there were many large nails and screws that were going to leave holes that needed patching. After we signed off, we noticed a few nails and a very large screw were still left. We were told we had signed off and they would not be back to take care of the few items we missed during the walk through. Make sure EVERYTHING is done to your satisfaction before you sign off. This company has horrible customer service. They say they will start on a certain day and don't. They say they will be there at a certain time and they are not. You give them specific colors and they don't use those. After voicing my concerns their "Project Manager" Kyle sent me a text saying they will paint my back wall for free since there had been so many problems, Then sends another text 3 min later saying that they wont being doing that since it wasn't already painted. He said he would be out when the job was done, that was 3 days ago and I still haven't heard from anyone. This was a horrible experience.
