Hm, I don't know. $10 for 3 tacos (or $10 for 2 chicken mango tacos is a bit much if you ask me. It's good food but I don't know if it's something I'd eat often. Plus, I was still hungry after my tacos. However, I do love creative and friendly new restaurants/food trucks and Mexi-Flip is rather good. I've tried the beef tacos, chicken mango, and regular chicken tacos. The chicken tacos were a clear winner for me. I didn't care too much for the mango tacos but they were still edible. I had such high hopes since they had some pretty good yelp reviews. I would say I was pretty disappointed with what I received. I ordered the pork tacos which included 2 pork tacos and a side of rice and some fried chip things. Overall portions were small and not filling at all. The side of rice was cold and bland. Tacos didn't have much flavor either and the meat inside the tacos was cold. I saw him heat something up in a pan but it obviously wasn't anything I was given. I suppose they garnish with the fried round chip things but I saw that it had been sitting there and they were stale. I probably would not be visiting this food truck again. I used to come by every week when I worked in the area. The food is fantastic!, The truck is run by a Philipino/Mexican couple, hence the name. It was my first experience with pancit! I really liked it. Their burritos are also really good. You can get meat or vegetarian (like me) and they prepare it really fresh. You must, absolutely must ask about the mango salsa. I've been to this place numerous times and have had for the most part decent experiences. Food is good but service always goes a long way. But recently I visited at the Essex Junction location and while the chicken mango tacos were good, the service I received from the owner was just awful. She has a total lack of customer service skills. As I walked up to order she completely ignored me for 3-5 minutes, by the time she acknowledged me she said what do you want I placed my order, I paid, and she followed it with "you don't stand here and wait for the food go sit somewhere". As I picked up my order she didn't say "thank you", "have a good day", or anything. Just handed it to me and sat there. As I want to sit another customer made a comment to me stating that "the owner is always like that". I wouldn't rate it a 1 star solely based on this incident, food is consistently good, but service has taken a big fall. If I can give no stars I would!! I work at a large apartment community that holds monthly events for our residents. We booked an event happening today through Mike at Mexi Flip months ago! I confirmed about a week out, got the invoice from him this Monday, confirmed again on Tuesday, it is now Thursday 5 minutes before the event and I was just told by them that they FORGOT IT WAS TODAY! We have 100's of residents that look forward to this event. We have given this truck business at other properties and have been more than polite to them. When I called obviously concerned about this, he acted like this was normal for them and HUNG UP ON ME!!!! Absolutely no apologies or concern for his client. This has put us in an awful spot with our residents and makes our business look bad. He obviously does not care how his business looks!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THEM!!! I hate leaving bad reviews about family owned businesses but I won't lie ... Fusion anything it's hard to combine and make it succeed .... I found the courage to order some chicken tacos, gotta hold that cilantro though, I can't stand that stuff. Cash and cards work, as well as their condiment shelf. They were sharing hot sauce from another vendor in the fest, that is awesome! That certainly is good business. My taco's did not take long, and only half as long for me to devour them They were pretty damn good, if you can believe it! I added some hot sauce, but I do like a little spice with most food. The truck went to a Bloomfield police department event and I was able to try out the tacos. I believe it was a chicken mango and a pork taco. The tacos are small but are very delicious. I can't speak about pricing because those were the only two free items but I have about 5 total and I wanted more but family wanted to go. We found Mexi-Flip at Laurita Winery's Food Trucks and Fire Pits event. The line for Mexi-Flip was practically wound around the vineyard. Ten minutes into the wait there were rumors that they had run out of tacos. Plus, taco trucks are a dime-a-dozen. Then, when we finally arrived at the window to order, we got into a small argument with the server who refused to allow us to purchase two tacos with different meats. (There was zero chance of us fitting 3 pork tacos and 2 chicken mango tacos in our already inflated bellies, but we really wanted to try one of each.) In the end, we got the chicken mango tacos and Mexi-Flip ended up being the single best thing we ate all night. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The mango was sweet and perfect with the cilantro and avocado. The tacos were heaping and Chris and I had to take turns holding the tray for each other to catch all the stuffing falling out the back. I ordered my food and the staff gave a free be to someone working at a different stall. I reminded them I was waiting after 5 minutes. Then I see another guy order and get his food. I walk over and ask where my tacos are. The staff looks confused and realized they have it to the other guy. They then wanted me to take the food from the guy who had already squeezed lime on them. Horrible customer service. I was just at a global culture fair at Rutgers, and they were doing the ticket for a taco deal. The tickets were given out based off the level of participation in the fair, and the truck was there doling out tacos to people who gave them a ticket. Naturally, I thought one ticket per taco could translate to more tacos for more tickets, so I offered two of my tickets for two tacos. I'm proven wrong. Fine, but the people at the truck had a nasty, condescending attitude when they told me about it. I don't care how bad of a day they were having or whatever their problem was, but you don't humiliate prospective customers when all they are trying to do is offer their business to your damned truck.
