This place is a hidden gem and absolutely amazing! Everything was extremely fresh and delicious. The waitress was patient and kind, especially because we were a semi big group. The food came out in a timely manner and the prices are extremely reasonable. The place was clean and well kept. Will definitely try this place again!

Aesthetic is cool and the servers are great but lack of heat is the nail in the coffin for this place. Also I ordered an omelet and because the grill wasn't hot enough I couldn't get it. Go figure. Great food but please please do something about the heat, I shouldn't need my jacket and hat inside. The place has potential but a few things need to be rectified.

Truly what a sick cafe. Seems like this cafe was opened up in a previous warehouse which makes for a super cool ambiance. I came in on a Saturday morning with my brother and sister-in-law and we all unanimously agreed that this place was a hit. We had called beforehand to see if there would be a wait and the waiter who picked up the phone assured us a table would be waiting for us upon arrival, which surely it was! I ordered a dirty matcha iced latte which was made to perfection. Earthy matcha tones cut perfectly with a bold espresso with a tad of sweetness coming from the brown sugar. Food wise we got the Parma chicken sandwich, cheesesteak, and vegan chicken and waffles. Everyone was more than satisfied with their dish. And to top it all off, there was a DJ playing bops the entire time. Can't wait to come back and make my way through the menu.

Pancakes are dry as hell. The service was bad took forever to give me my plain pancakes that I paid $15 and it was not good. The wait was not worth it. I recommend pancake house in Edgewater best place.

Very trendy and cool decore. I would describe it as rustic-industrial-steampunky. There are concrete counters, bespoke wood tables, and a lounge corner with a bench and armchairs. The exposed kitchen adds a sense if comfort to the decore. The staff is very helpful and chill. They patiently explained the different menu options and dishes. I sampled the roasted chicken sandwich. The BBQ sauce was not the traditional southern sweet and tangy or smokey style, think more chicken curry spices. It was delectable and a hefty sandwich. The sweet potato fries were very well fried and crispy to perfection. The Sweet and Zesty salad did not disappoint either. I have no doubt their many vegan favorites are likewise expertly done and I am eagerly waiting for the next opportunity to sample from the vegan menu.

3.5 stars. Very cute, cozy cafe. We came in the month of October, and the cafe was so well-decorated for Halloween. The food is just okay though. I love that they have a large selection of vegan food, and a lot of it looked very appealing. I got the Impossible Vegan Burger, which wasn't bad. The tart tomato sauce was pretty overpowering though, so scraping some of it off helped balance out the flavors. The impossible patty was juicy, and the sandwich overall was pretty filling. My friend got the Triple Burger and Mac 'N Cheese. She said the Mac 'n Cheese was plain and didn't have enough seasoning and that the macaroni was a bit overcooked and soggy. She said the Triple Burger was juicy but also could've used a bit of more seasoning. We also got some bakery items from the counter. The items looked better than they tasted, so we were a bit disappointed. - Vegan Maple Walnut Donut: Didn't taste fresh -- the donut bread tasted stale. It was very sweet though. - Vegan Bread Pudding: Flavorless. We got it with berry compote on the side, which helped a lot. Without it, it would've been very plain. There was also the option to have caramel or vanilla sauce on the side. The berry compote was not too sweet and pretty watery. I thought it was just the right amount of sweetness, but my friend thought it could've been sweeter, so maybe getting caramel or vanilla sauce on the side would've been better for her. - Pumpkin Muffin: Soft and not too sweet. The bread was on the lighter side. Tasted like it was missing something. They have many bakery goods, but nothing was outstanding. They weren't terrible, but they did leave us feeling there was more to desire. When coming here, I'd probably skip the bakery goods and just come for the decent food, ambiance, and support for a local vegan-friendly eatery.

A brunch spot with a vegan menu?? Count me in. I don't know why I never stopped by Blueprint when I lived in Newark but I'm glad I got to visit when I did! Food was great, interior is so cute, DJ had great music going, it was a great vibe! My friends and I all got different items from their vegan menu, and I think I really liked my friends' breakfast tacos and my chicken and waffle. I really liked the "chicken" in my meal. Overall, great spot for brunch!

Stumbled upon this place while waiting around for an appt. Came on a Saturday. They offer takeout at the counter or dine in. Live DJ on Saturday when we arrived I ordered the Pepper Bacon Sausage Omelette which came with a slice of bread and ordered a separate side of potatoes. The omelette is huge. They do not skimp on the filling. A lot of sausage, peppers, onions and asked for light mozzarella. Well seasoned. Potato's are also seasoned and cooked well. Would've loved if there was a little more of a crisp to the potatoes. But still very good. A very extensive menu. Brunch and lunch options. The burgers looked really good. They also have vegan options. I'll definitely be back when in the area.

Vegan-friendly! The menu had multiple vegan options available. Portions are massive. I had the tofu scramble which was just OK - wish it had more developed flavor. I could taste the spices, but something was missing. My partner had the sausage omelet and enjoyed it. The interior is very cute and well-decorated. There is seating outdoors as well. The parking lot is right before the building and can be easily missed.

I'm actually glad this place is not that local to my house, or they would have all of my money on a daily. What a gem! Found this place on Yelp when I was working in the area with my manager. The pics, menu, and reviews confirmed my decision to give it a try, and I'm so glad that we did! It is so easy to pass by when you're on the road, but please, do yourself a favor and slow down as you're GPS says you're nearing because it's a one way and you have to make a few turns to get back on the street. The parking lot is ahead of the actual cafe. Ok... so, after that minor mishap, I had a good vibe as soon as I pulled into a spot with a view of beautiful tomato vines. The place is adorable... great decor.. energy... high ceilings.. I loved to find out that is black owned! Spoke with the manager, Ayeshia, who I also believe may be the owner? She was friendly and gracious. They hold different evening events from time to time which are BYOB. Ok, so the menu... I was salivating at everything I saw and read. I wanted to try everything... from coffees, smoothies.... I settled on the matcha pineapple juice which was on the sweet side, but in a fabulous way! I wish I had a pitcher of this in my fridge always.. For my to go meal, I ordered a quinoa bowl.. which you can customize with your choice of protein (shrimp) and "flavor".. I picked the Asian which came with red cabbage, broccoli.. a semi sweet tangy Asian "glaze". It was tasty and plentiful.. and FRESH! But, the showstopper for me was the orange cake that caught my eye among a number of beautiful dessert options... MY GOODNESS this was some of the best cake I've ever eaten. It was perfectly fluffy...not too sweet.. with just enough of that divine orange glaze drizzled on top. I told my husband that we are driving to Newark JUST to try the rest of the menu!

It was a risk, because you know how vegetarians can get about cheese (I'm vegan now. When I used to be vegetarian, I'd get annoyed if a meal didn't have cheese in it, or if it had vegan cheese. I've noticed that a lot of my currently vegetarian friends are the same.) , but I figured that he would be cool about it, because he knew that there wasn't much else in the area that I could eat that had a/c. I love my city, but the restaurants need to get their a/c game in order. This is a slightly elevated burger joint. The options are meant to be on the healthier side, so they do stuff like sweet potato fries or a side salad with the burgers instead of potato fries. Here's my tip: get the salad. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how much flavour they can pack into a small but mighty green salad with some dressing on the side. It'll mean that you can avoid eating sweet potatoes (unless you like sweet potato, in which case, you're at the right place). That said, the side salad was excellent. Crisp greens, and a few bonus veg, with a creamy tasting dressing. No complaints, 5 stars. My friend got the black bean burger, and I got the chickpea burger. We got the burgers exactly a said on the menu with no customisation. This was a very VERY good choice. The chefs at Brick City Vegan know what they're doing, and they absolutely season the heck out of the food. Everything tasted so good, and the table fell silent as we demolished the food in front of us in the cool a/c. There was a napkin dispenser on the table, which you will need, because the burgers are generously sauced, and a bit of a mess to eat. Who cares? The food is incredible, and just the right amount of filling. Both of us ate every last morsel, and left feeling satisfied. For both of our burgers, I think it was less than $30 grand total after taxes. Not the cheapest meal, but certainly not at all expensive by vegan standards.

I tried the lauryn hill bowl and the young Hendrix. To say the least the young Hendrix was a 10/10 dish featuring an extreme amount of flavor encompassing many different tastes, a pleasant experience for the pállette and every bite keeps one entertained and at edge of their feet truly. The lauryn hill bowl also had great flavor. These dishes are light years more impressive than other restaurants and other vegan restaurants as they are super healthy. The restaurants sends a clear message to the world that you can enjoy your food to the highest ability and it still be very healthy! I hope they open more locations as they are seized for success if they are able to market themselves properly and get people in the door. One critique would be a better ventilation system in the kitchen as fumes did emit into the dining area to the degree, poor ventilation would be my only critique but this is very minor when looking at all the other things. Very budget friendly restaurant, excellent accommodating staff, over the top tasting healthy food! Plan to come back as much as possible in the future

Nice black-owned spot with variety of vegan options and it is clean. There's space to dine-in and they are open on Sundays. The energy is also open enough where strangers will have a convo while waiting. Coming from Brooklyn, I'm happy to have this spot so close to where I am now. Savory: My go-to is the chickpea tuna sandwich. I've tried it on a roll, long sub, and gluten-free... highly recommend the long sub. It's way too messy on the roll for me. Typically get it with the works. The potato salad is also very good most of the time (sometimes the potatoes are a little undercooked). I've also had the macaroni salad and the fried mushroom sandwich which are also good. I definitely enjoyed the thanksgiving special with stuffing (highly recommend that if they bring it back this year). Tip: if ordering a hero and you don't see yourself eating the entire thing in one sitting, I recommend requesting for the sandwich to not be cut so you can cut it evenly on your own For baked goods: the peach cobbler is good and it comes in a cute cup with a little spoon. I've also had the lemon cake & rum cake. Would order all 3 again. Would love to see donuts or cinnamon rolls (hopefully without cashews or walnuts due to my allergy). DRINKS: I haven't had a drink there that I would get again. The teas are overwhelmingly sweet; hibiscus punch was a lot like kool-aid to me. I also don't recommend the matcha if you are a matcha snob. Harper's Cafe is a great black-owned spot for a consistently good latte and they use quality matcha if you want quality nearby. Great spot with lots of options, especially if you're looking for a black-owned spot to support.
